This game is a Troll
*Spoiler*
The game calls itself "Hearing."
Tells you to collect blue balls that emit a sound and no other balls.
Advertises that you can play with your eyes closed ( X Doubt. )
After Collecting Balls, receive bad ending for collecting the "wrong type of blue ball."
The game costs $1, I'd rather pay another $1 to not have to not play for the "good" ending.
this game is ... bizarre?? theres only 1 objective and thats to find 10 little blue balls by listening out for them, it was pretty easy for me, but thats all the game is. a few times i saw a sort of monster or creature and thought maybe, possibly something interesting would happen but nah. its just a barren clearing filled with rocks that you walk around and find little balls in. and even worse, when i had found the 10th ball, the game congradulated me... and then told me that ONE of the balls i had picked up was actually a "dark blue" ball and that clearly i wasnt listening to instruction and was to be liquidated... so they killed me and the game was over.
this was a weird experience, very boring in places but had potential in others. but i feel like it should have been a free game, although it is only $1 so if you really want to play it then at least its not expensive,,
A steaming pile of garbage that looks semi-pretty
Description for the game is an outright lie as it would be impossible to play with your eyes closed as the blue balls you're tasked with finding are often hidden and require platforming (jumping on rocks) to get to. A headache inducing ringing noise alerts you to where the balls are, but it's about as accurate as píssing lines in snow. When you finally collect ten the game explains that you got a dark blue ball and thus must be vaporized and wander around the drab environment to occasionally stumble upon a poorly textured house or random Alien creature all over again, with no guarantee you won't again get a "dark blue ball". I didn't bother giving it a second go and you shouldn't give it a go at all.
Can only imagine this artificially difficult "game" and it's bullshít cryptic ending exist solely to scam idiots.
I only played an hour of this and found 4 blue balls. It was quite boring. The noise to find the balls gave me a crashing headache! I won't even finish this as it is too tedious. 4 out of 10 for me.
I thought it was a good game, but it could have had more game!
Nobody told me I would have to be able to tell the difference between a blue ball and a dark blue ball. Honestly, they could have chosen a different color for the "not-blue" ball. Anything other than, you know, BLUE would have sufficed, really.
For a game called Hearing, you'd think the objects would make different noises for you to distingush between them. But alas, no.
There's not very many ambient noises to listen to either. Environments are nice though.
Flawed, but I liked it. 5/10, would get tinnitus again.
A strange game to play with headphones. It looks more like an experimental work than a game you should pay money for. The single objective of the game is to collect 10 blue balls using your ears (when you come near a ball, you will ear a rising sound, and you orient yourself depending on what you ear in your left or right ear). The concept idea is interesting but could be developed in something more than what is offered here. After finding 5 balls, you have seen all of what the game has to offer. For a walking simulator, I was hoping for more variety and things to discover, but it is mostly just rocks and trees everywhere.
I also did not really get the ending. I was not sure if it was a joke, or if the game was seriously expecting the player to pay attention to different shades of blue.
In all, it is an interesting idea for a game, but it could be more developed.
This game is advertised as one that you could play with your eyes closed. This is false.
You are required to distinguish between blue balls and dark blue balls by color and that requires sight.
Also, if you don't understand Russian, then you must read the subtitles and that requires sight.
I would change my review if the distinguishing characteristic of the balls were based on sound, but as it is I was disappointed.
Spent 20 minutes on the game. It was not worth the $.99. Don't get it, i would rather watch a letsplay of this with bad cometary than play it again.
You walk around and get blue balls, and it's not even cold.
Some problem with subtitle
The subtitle would overpal in 1080P full screen, The voice is Russian and it is important to watch the subtitle if you are not a Russian.
It is hard to distinguish blue ball and dark blue ball, I tried over 5 times but I failed everytime because i don't know which one is dark blue...
HOLY SHIT...
Okay so let me get this game on the map cause it is pretty darn cool and i want more of this i played games like this alot and loved them but the slender eske feel of scavenger hutning in an abandoned area was not what i wanted from it also unless your russian dont close your eyes cause you need to read subtitles anyway i was exploring away with 5 balls to my name and i saw something (i play siege so a small thing is not something i miss) that looked off different to the overall fell and differtn to the rocks it was perched on so i went up to investigate...
AND I FUCKING SHIT MESELF there was a fucking demon thing like the possesed shield thing from doom just standing there chilling i thought i was fucked but... it never moved and i was just confused and then i wrote a review and now your reading it and thinking I need to find this thing WELLLLLLLL good look to your peasent this game costs a dollar and I dont think that you have enough money to pay for its awsomeness anywho if your looking at it get it fund these guys and get a fleshed out story gameplay abience and just make this something to remember.
I actually liked this game! Would be interesting if it was night time and had animals or something..
And this would also be awesome for a surround sound test? cause it really pulls you where the sound (blue ball) will be! i had a lot of fun!
I want a game where the premise of hearing being your main tool to be realized better.
As it is, we have the nirnroot quest from Oblivion and Skyrim without any of the engaging reasons for it.
There might be something here someday, but right now this is a twenty minute foray into wasted potential.
Pass it by until it gets better.
