So as you can see I've played this game A LOT! I love this game, because it has so many different aspects of riding mtb. You can ride Big Jumps, Techy stuff and also technical dirt jumps. Anyone who likes MTB in real life will enjoy this. I also have a Youtube channel with some content: DescenderGG. Some people who don't like MTB will probably like this game, but not all. You have to be pacient to learn all of the controls etc. but once you get it is really fun. Thanks to mods there's also more content in Descenders made from not only the developers. For this price I would really recommend it. And if MTB is not for you, this year Descenders Next is coming out with snowboarding and mountainboarding. Really Great Game!

I think it is a very cool game, but there isnt much of a story to it. i think it is cool but i wouldnt recommend it to someone that doesnt do mountain biking in real life
So disappointed with this Developer Rage Squid marketing of Beta Sucks.
Leaving people thinking you can have access to Descenders next to have
discord links etc that do not work is lame. Seriously you have links to discord that are obviously broken.
Where do you as a software company have on steam teasing new game with links to access that do not work
is so unprofessional and boring.
The Beta has not worked and you the developer dont mention this.
See all the comments saying how can i access Beta of next. So i will not pay money for new software to developers that waste people time. No matter how good new game is the misleading Beta option for many not all but many is now and was avoidable

I Absolutely love this game i have it across 3 different platforms its a great game to chill out to its one of the main game i play after midnight and after a long days work would 100% recommend this if you like BMX games not to mention I love the sound track!!!!!!!!!
This is a fun game, just not what I was hoping it would be. If you want to focus on spending hours honing perfect lines and doing insane stunts at incredible speed in an arcade-style setup, you'll love it. If you want a semi-realistic mountain biking experience, look elsewhere - I'm just not sure where. I think lots of people will enjoy this, but I was hoping that the bikes would behave like bikes, not greased-up motorcycles.
I'd love an option for more realistic controls and physics, as this didn't really scratch the itch I had about not riding trails in real life in the winter. That being said, this was fun to mess around in, even if I'm a more casual player and haven't been able to unlock half of the biomes due to my lack of skill/time to invest/interest.
One of my go-to's for relaxing.
Great physics system. Deep if you want it to be, great for a 5-10 minute session, too

worth the 10 dollars I paid, would pay 30, its that good. very fun after playing it every day for three months straight, at the beginning its much harder but if you watch tutorials on yt its easy. go to snowmans ball to learn jumping
This game is amazing I'm absolutely addicted to it I would reccommend for small children. You can get it with Xbox gamepass for free if you have that too.

this game is so fun and time consuming. i have played this game for about 100 Horus now and I am not bored of it yet. ti has a good free play mode and a lot of free modid maps to have fun and enjoy. thankyou ragesquid for this good game.
its super fun and popluar and never gets boring
It's a solid technical bike simulator game with a great soundtrack, however the procedural generation for the main game is very annoying and in my opinion not a good idea for this kind of game. The pre-made maps, like mods and bike parks, are still a lot of fun and I'd recommend trying those.
VERYFUN, playing casually or grinding, either way its fun. It is easy to get good and lots of map and cosmetic varieties.

this is a very fun game with loads of cool aspects but could maybe have some more missons and unlockables when playing.maybe even some new secret tricks and gaps

A fun game that you can get good at easily. Lots of things to do so you will never get bored. You can play with friends as well.
I love this game, its a little hard at first to learn the controls and movements, but after you get the hang of that there are so many cool things you can do and it's really fun.
In the last 24 hours of purchasing this game I have logged 8 hours. I repeat: I've owned the game for 24 hours and played for 8. This game is the definition of "just one more run." Addicting, easy to learn, hard to master, and very rewarding.

im doing the riot tour and finished the siro track + no checkpoints + first person and finished it and all i got was the first person challenge
Game is fine, but the save feature is fucked. there's no option to select save file, which it randomly keeps deleting for no reason. Sometimes on normal launch, sometimes on reinstalling. it;s totally fucked, don't buy until the bug is fixed.
My favourite part about Descenders is all of the different bike parks. I'm not a fan of career mode as it's sorta repetitive and boring. I only played career mode to complete the grand challenge, which is basically quests to unlock a pink bike called missing texture (very ugly). There is another grand challenge for a specific collaboration map (riot). It's the best map I've played so far, and didn't take very long to complete all the challenges. Some people may like career mode more than freeride, but I definitely don't.
As a somewhat aging mountain biker this lets me live my dreams of the all the tricks I will never be able to do. The combination of well chosen controls that work well together, the beautiful graphics, immersive feel and great soundtrack make so an absolutely super addictive combination. I like the fact you are not just racing, you can go fast which is fantastic fun but you can also ride up to the jumps, take a look, and ride back to try again. This freedom to roam and play as you wish is wonderful. The physics of how you can slide and brake around corners, and how you can lose control feels very realistic and playable. And I've only been playing a few days.
I'm playing on a recent Mac Mini M2 Pro with 6 GPU cores. I'm not generally a game player and I run X-Plane. The levels on career mode an all amazingly fast with ~100 FPS, but some of the additional content in bike parks is quite variable in quality and some have artifacts and give an unplayable 10 FPS or flashing shadows. Clearly some optimisation has been missed. Possibly GPU memory has been exceeded? Also few mods run on the Mac. I don't think I've got a single mod to run. even one stated on working on Mac. As I bought the game on discount for £4.87 I can live with some aspects not working well, but just to give other Apple die-hards a warning. But I'd still recommend it for Mac game players. though you might something decent, as a high frame rate is essential.
I don't review games often but this is really a gem. I don't even like these sorts of games.
It is really fun to play. I often play it when I have a free couple of minutes or hours and I just want to chill and this game is it for me. It can get stressful sometimes when you try to complete something. But there is a lot of well crafted bike parks and maps that are so fun to ride on. It has much better physics than riders republic or similar games.
No microtransactions, loot boxes, or any other bs. Just a great game!

Such a great game. Pick up at full price if you can. It's worth it. You can just feel the passion and love for the game that the devs poured into this. It's so much fun to play - race down the track, do some stunts, crash horribly and try again. It also has a great soundtrack. The feeling playing this game gives me a lot of nostalgia for the Tony Hawk's era. I'll definitely buy Descenders Next too as soon as I can.

Its a great game but there are some bugs that are very annoying for example i cant scroll down between my bikes in the shed.
awesome game! love the tracks and modded tracks. Nice and relaxing but also brain numbing when i need something to take my mind off of things. Thanks for a great game
WHEEEE BACKFLIPSSSS! It's kinda like if that Tony Hawk downhill jam spinoff was mixed with Skate.
The "main" mode is a procedurally-generated series of downhill tracks. It has a bit of a learning curve (and is a bit punishing) as you only get 4 lives and it's quite easy to smack into a tree or misjudge a ramp.
However it does get in a great groove after about an hour or two of messing around.
The fun for me was finding the "Bike Parks" which are more open-ended maps that are carefully designed, Jump City and Stoker Bike Park are fantastic fun and also there is no lives limit when doing a bike park.
Landing a gigantic jump is very satisfying.

Another game that follows the great potential, horrible execution trend. Inconsistent physics, horrible map design, no party system for friends, and there are plenty of small nuisances like not being able to place your own waypoint/respawn location in an open world map that traps you in a repeating cycle of crashes with little hope to explore.
Played almost 200 hours on the GAME PASS version from Microsoft (PC and Xbox) -- Bought on Steam during a sale cause it's just that good and I wanted to experience it all over for the first time and OWN it just incase it ever leaves the GAME PASS.
