Destination Primus Vita is a narrative, first-person and episodic puzzle game set in a science-fiction universe. Follow the adventures of our main six characters: Austin, Hayao, Artemis, BrX, Geny and Coby as they travel across the cosmos to Primus Vita to complete their vital mission: to save life on Earth!
Set in the year 3044, a team of six humans travel to the planet Primus Vita to retrieve the water that was stolen from Earth hundreds of years ago by an alien species. Set aboard the interstellar ship 'Beaufort', live the extraordinary experiences of our six crew members aboard the interstellar ship through their dreams as they lie in cryosleep on their 4-year journey to the planet Primus Vita.
Their dreams are a construct created by NIM (the AI on the ship), designed to train them for their time on Primus Vita and to introduce them to the challenges they will face and the clues they must seek.

Reluctant thumbs up. I mean for a $1.50 you are getting something that has good design, good art, good style, good story, and good characters. The big reveal at the end for why Austin is the way she is was really well executed. I definitely enjoyed my two hours with the game.
Why reluctant thumbs up though? User interface is very clunky with odd button mapping, ran into a few bugs on a couple of the puzzles, couldnt do the quicktime events with a controller (had to get back onto the keyboard to complete those), and there is basically no challenge with the puzzles. Would be better to brand this as a walking simulator rather than a puzzle game.
good, rich story and cool puzzles
TL;DR: buyer beware, it's unfinished, abandoned, apparently rushed and posing for something it is not in large parts. But if you like puzzlers take it for granted there's aplenty and I am not judging its quality in that regard as I am not into that sort of pastime.
This game reminds me of "Elea" that I finished some months ago and that is the first and foremost difference: I managed to finish "Elea" despite its convoluted nature and unfinished state unlikely to be ever completed whereas I almost rage quit that one. "Almost" meaning I did quit, but with a sigh of relief rather than anything else in the end.
After a brief close encounter with a dev I tried to approach whtat's left of the game with an open mind, but in the end I had neither patience to carry on nor was interested to see what next trick does this puzzler have to throw at me to knock me off-balance. Since it is a puzzler with a very shallow and absurd story behind posing as science-fiction whereas any scientific knowledge we happen to have now - without referring to future possibilities - renders the story basis as purely nonsensical fantasy and not a sci-fi. That was the first factor that put me off quite strongly, the rest just followed. Let's remember what S. King wrote in "Danse Macabre" - let me paraphrase that: to have good fiction there must be something allowing us to suspend disbelief. Poor writing here only did strengthen that in me and now I believe that lack of good script for a credible story is one of a few major problems here - like, for instance, that horrible fetch quest with nine pieces of scrap, just to name another. What fun is to be had in that?
This is "The Anatomy of a Disaster part II", but I loved "The Fall of Lazarus", mind you, and really disliked this one from the get-go when I only read those ridiculos premises for the story.
First things first - the achievements are broken and will never be fixed.
On the good side, unique graphical approach, clue-finding, object-finding, puzzles, relationships, and team building. If they worked, the achievements would have been appropriate and somewhat challenging.
Too bad the future episodes won;t be made. Company dissolved.
Good game and story. Clever but balanced puzzles. I bought the Bundle including comics and it's defintely worth it!
I did not like it. Story, characters, puzzles were all lost on me.
It's tiny, teaser like story-oriented game. Because of the sales, probably there won't be other chapters and unfortunately this chapter is like an introduction, without the other chapters it is a bit meaningless. Developers are quick to respond and they are trying to help if they can. Characters of game are cliché but adequate and appealing at the same time. Story looks interesting but as i said it is only the beginning part of it. Puzzles are decent except the maze one. Failing it is tilting. I still don't know the logic of one symbol in it though. For science part, there are some inconsistencies but the other elements of the game make up for it.
Really nice game.. and I do recommend it.. But.. there will never be an episode 2. The game has been abandoned.
but the only bugs in the game are a few achivements, no biggy.. but they will never be fixed.
Paid < $1, was easily worth > $1!
Really short, but also cheap game which tells the visions of scientist Austin's cryosleep which is actually an simulation of recent vital memories. When the game is about controlled dreams the environment is very interesting and some designs please an eye. Also as the story might be fragmentary it still holds on well delivering different characters and relationships and while they are left bit blunt the possible following episodes may offer some replenishing content. There is good amount of puzzles and quick-time events to make this more than casual walking simulator.
Should you get this less than 2 bucks then I'd say it is a deal especially if they're going to release another episode.
Nice story and art style. Puzzles were good, moving around and selecting objects was a bit wonky at times.
Interesting science fiction game where you're exploring through the mind of one of the characters via simulations to undergo a sort of mental training to increase the success rate of the upcoming mission. While playing through the story, you solve various puzzles that you encounter along the way. It's a relatively short game but still enjoyable.
Only issue that I came across involved controller support (Xbox One) which didn't work well and seemed like an afterthought. You could still manage with the controller except two scenes where the keyboard seemed necessary.
Sorry just too annoying for words. I do like the graphics and the reality bending sets. But the rest not so much.
The Labyrinth sections were the final straw. They are an exercise in frustration.
Whoaa, I just finished this first chapter and I have to say that I am impressed. And what an emotional ending!
I don't often buy 1st chapters of a unfinished game, but I love sci-fi stories, I gave it a try and I don't regret it. It was totally worth it. And even if the game ends up unfinished, it was still worth playing it as this chapter told its own story.
Puzzles are well balanced, not too easy, not too difficult, and fit well with the story.
Uncovering the game world was fun. Each character unique personality, story and relationship with the main character Austin, is well told with a good degree of realism.
And the game ran flawlessly on my window 7 laptop, nice! Still some of the achievements appear to be broken, but oh well, who cares...
I am looking forward to the next chapter, even if I think it might be hard to do as well as this one, we'll see!
An excellently made narrative, with time-friendly puzzle solving, good production values, and a bite-size presentation you can wrap up in a few hours. The characters are well thought out, and I look forward to future episodes focused on other crewmembers.
It makes sense that to take advanatage of the downtime during cryosleep, that an AI would help the crew work through their psychological issues, and train them for the coming mission.
I believe that the devteam involved in this production has all the assets and abilities at their disposal to see this project through the other episodes and is worth the investment of your money and time.
Bravo.
Interesting episodic puzzle game.

This is a fun puzzle game. I'm excited Can't wait for the next episode!
I got to play the demo of this game at Montreal Expo, and I really enjoyed it. I love the art style, the puzzles, and the characters in it. The only negative thing I would say about this game is that if you are playing it on a Mac, the game can lag a bit. As some of the puzzles involve timers and it counts real life seconds, this can be a bit of a problem. I still really enjoy the game, and hopefully I will be able to get through those puzzles without too much infuriation.
Great Story. Difficult but rewarding puzzles!
I just popped into the game for a short time on my lunch to check it out and so far so good.
The art style seems really nice with some pretty cool sets. I already encountered a few puzzles that were not too teribly challenging so I am hoping that they continue to get more involved. The premise of the story seems really good and the voice acting so far has been good. It also ran really smooth on my pc at work that is a lower spec pc, and I have not seen any bugs or glitchs so far. I did not recieve this game for free and decieded to take the chance considering the price. The start of the game seems really good so hopefully more people take the plunge and support indie devs. I will update my review once I play more.
Update: Finished this first chapter and overall this is a pretty good game. I did not have any bugs or glitches, the voice acting is good and the sets are interesting. It was nice getting to know the character through the interactions with her memories and people. The only thing I found a little difficult was understanding the story overall. She is in hypersleep, in a simulation while on their way to a planet, but they are also trapped in the simulation? not sure. You can improve your relationships, so does that mean the other people are there as well? Overall, its an interesting idea and the world it paints is good. Will be interesting to see where they take it.
