The game has many secrets and shortcuts you can find to make your life easier. You can also find alternative paths in the levels; however, some are more dangerous than the more obvious route.
You play as the knight Isabella Rosenschwarz, who must rescue her husband from King Nick, a demonic overlord who has gathered an army of zombies and demons to stop her journey to the church he has occupied, as well as corrupt the land he now rules.

After actually beating the game (lmao)
Its not bad, just very, eh. the final boss can be killed very easily with the Mace weapon and a speed necklace and the whole game takes about an hour or two to beat.
5/10
A nice indie game. Reminds me of the old flash games I used to play on Miniclip and Andkon back in the day, except this one is quite polished, with the recognisable mid-2000s webcomic/animation art style (particularly of you frequent Newgrounds) My only gripe with this game are the controls, specifically the jump and shoot button. Normally (on an XBOX controller), jump would be the A button, and shoot would be the X button, but it's not; it's the reverse. Those who have played games using the aforementioned button mapping would be thrown off with this game, and would accidentally press the wrong button, causing some pretty dumb mistakes. Nonetheless, its a pretty solid game, and if you like a challenge, then I'd recommend Spears 'n' Spades.
Shopkeeper: Lamp oil? Rope? Bombs? You want it? it's yours my friend! As long as you have enough Rupees!
Mainly bought this since it was made by LeatherIceCream, but actually ended up playing all the way through. It's a simple platformer, but the controls are tight and dying never feels unfair. I was positively surprised, I'd recommend giving this a shot if you have two hours to kill.
I love this game! I played, though not so much, but with pleasure :3
Without a doubt in my mind, I think it would be fair to say that this game, is definitely something to be recommended to; and for two good reasons.
A: Because I'm very well aware of who made this, knowing that the person who did was actually the one who did some of the things in the Binding of Isaac: Antibirth. And that is literally the best mod for it out there; and it's up there with Revelations, another good mod I really like a lot.
And B: Or if you're just in the mood for something like Ghosts 'N' Goblins to play, well, there's this. And it is the exact same thing you could see and expect from something like it, from the way some enemies behave to stuff like switching to a variety of weapons, or getting another suit of armor to wear after losing the last one when hit. The story itself is even a bit like that: you're loved one gets kidnapped by a demon, and the next thing you know, is that you're going from level to level to reach the end.
But like Ghosts 'N' Goblins in general, most would know is that, not only is it known for being hard; but the fact there's two phases of it in order to complete the game in it's entirety. But unlike it, however, the second phase in this game tends to be... something.
And what I mean by that is, is that unlike in that game, there will be things that will be entirely different or off. As in until this point, most, if not, everything changes. And depending what I'm saying or on about, that's only for you to see (wouldn't much of a surprise if I gave it away, huh?). All and all, if you're willing to buy this game and see for yourself, that's your decision. Not mine. But I would like it to have more people check it out, if they can. So, if you can, I would appreciate it.
Thank you, and good day.
Pretty Fun, Fairly Challenging, and Good OST. A shame it has little info, seeing how damn good it is...Would Recommend!
cheap and good, nice soundtrack, i need that
A fun little Makaimura/Ghosts 'n Goblins clone, but with 'cheap Flash graphics' and somewhat better mobility. If you enjoyed the early games in that series, and you have $4 $2 to spare, I'd say give it a shot.
heh you suckers lowered the price a day before i planned on buying it
anyways
this is a really neat game for 4-- for 2 bucks
the artstyle is pretty cool
the music is a mwah/mwah
the bossfights are interesting except for when i managed to stun the first one into doing absolutely nothing
also screw you ben you suck
and the weapons are super 100% balanced all the way and are pretty fun to switch between
the level design does try to snag you in a few knockback kills but it only ever happens so often if you SUCK which i do not because i am a pro gamer that is a pro gamer at games he gamers at.
er
yeah this is really good for two bucks and i give it a "jumpscare" out of "where the hell is that SOUNDTRACK"
Overall it's decent. it can feel a bit clusterfucky sometimes and the weapons don't really feel balanced but i'd say for 2$ it's good
I originally bought the game only because I wanted to support the team who made antibirth but I found myself really enjoying the gameplay: the platforming, the difficulty (which PS is insane) the secrets and especially the weapons.
I would recommend this game to everyone who enjoys tough platforming and tough gameplay once in awhile.
The game is pretty good man! Qualities that I consider the game has that are very worth noting are the fact it has the castlevania feel and is overall the most likeable thing about it apart from the great artstyle coming from Leather. This game is what a fanboy of Leather and the gang need.
pros:
- the gameplay is very reminiscent of megaman, castlevania and such so i guess some people would enjoy that
- the artstyle is simple and memorable enough imo
- the music varies from good to absolutely goddamn excellent, god bless mudeth
- the game is pretty cheap and definitely covers its price. i mean it's equivalent to like 2 kitkat bars(for me at least) and 2 kitkat bars definitely last way less
cons:
- game gets sorta repetitive sometimes: there aren't really a lot of ground-breaking mechanics or whatever, especially later in the game. except for the bosses i guess, those are cool and challenging enough
- speaking of that, the latter half of the game could use a lil bit more variety for level themes/palettes imo
overall score:
7/10, idk, simple but coole and cheap
It good
+I like the gameplay
+the bosses are fun
+leather's artstyle is really sexy
-The music can get a little repetetive
-The game sometimes crashes
-The menu fucking sucks
-Leather removed me from his friends list :(
Overall, buy this! It's a nice way to kill few hours
number/number this is mah shot

OK, ok... i already say i am a LeatherIceCream fan (creator of the game).
I played the game entirely, not completed all the achievements but i think i have completed the game.
I'd like to say, 3 dollars are slightly ok as a price, well, i prefer something like 1.
I explain, the game is not a PERFECT platformer, obliviously it have problems...
Not all the weapons are usefull in all levels, for example: having items like the bomb and the axe, will create
problems with path containing the breakable rocks.
Alot of times i had to commit suicide ingame because the entire rock bridge was destroyed.
Same argument for the only melee weapon, the Backscratcher (i don't really know the name).
Swinging a hit with that weapon standing on a brakeble rock bridge, can be fatal.
I think the levels are not well made, not all of them. The first 3 chapters are ok, but the others...
The enemies some times are way too much in one single area, making the game, not hard, but frustrating.
Turning back to the Backscratcher, the game is mostly optimized with the high range weapons like the knife etc.
so the Backscratcher is kinda difficult to use in some areas or vs enemies like the plants (or even worst, the zombie plants). Do not let me start on the electrified boxes! Most alot of times i had to sacrifice a armor or even worst because i had to move quicly with enemies just right in front of me! They are too much some times!
Let's say it alot easier, everything must be balanced in some way.
Also the game, after some minutes, have some strange fps loss. (lol dunno)
The bosses, well, the bosses are ok! Yes, the names... but doesn't care.
They are not that hard and too much easy, i think they are the most well made.
The game is not FULL of bugs, is well scripted for being an indie game.
I really liked to saw better animated sprites, Leather is very good making animations, but here, he just got a little bit lazy.
The game it self is well made, need some fixes, but there is a lot of time!
I believe in Spears n' Spades! And i love the charathers!
Rate: 6.5/10
100% GAME COMPLETED EDIT: I want to remember that the game is not optimized for every weapon, some levels are
very hard without some kind of weapons. The Backscratcher is completely useless in Darkworld,
as the new stage, adds a lot of difficulty e spamming enemies.
As i said, a lot of Bosses in this Darkworld are very spammy, cause most of the time, they mix
their attack patterns, making the avoid IMPOSSIBLE. This is not for the final boss in Darkworld,
but mostly in the normal bosses, and the final boss in Lightworld.
I can say, the game is not possible to be finished without dyng.
The weapons are not good balanced.
In the end... i hope this things are going to be fixed

Tralasciando i nomi...
Io credo in Spears n' Spades! E amo i personaggi!
Voto 6.5/10
EDIT FINE GIOCO NON DISPONIBILE (Non avevo voglia)
ma comunque non è quasi niente di diverso

I bought this game based on the steam trailer and artwork. Glad I did, as I actually enjoy the game.
You can tell this game borrows game play mechanics heavily from the NES game: "Ghosts 'n Goblins." Even the name bears a resemblance.
The art style is pretty cool (reminds me of the dupes from "Oxygen Not Included) sound track is good, and the controls are responsive. I was able to use an Xbox controller on my PC, so that's a plus as well. I did not encounter any glitches of any kind while playing.
Game play is fairly simplistic; with your main goal being to navigate across the levels and get to end, where you fight an end stage boss. As you fight across the levels, there are various weapons which you can use: from throwing knives, to lobbing bombs, to melee spears. You start out wearing a suit of armor, and when you get hit, the armor will break. Get hit again and you're dead.
From what I can tell at this time, the story is about a girl trying to save her lover from some type of ghoulish captor. Perhaps a reverse homage to Ghosts 'n Goblins plot.
Anyways, the game is pretty good. If you're a fan of the genre, then I absolutely believe it is worth $4.
This game obviously isn't some big AAA title, but it's certainly not a bad game. The art style is charming, the game has very few cheap deaths, the gameplay feels pretty smooth and satisfying, the music is great, and it's got a lot of heart. Even though it isn't the most perfect platforming experience on Steam, it's definitely worth its affordable price.
This is the best game i played this year
-no bugs
-no glitches
-many secrets to find
-the big amout o levels which is 8 and trust me, that's a lot
-many weapons to select
-many enemies to defeat
-many achievements to unlock
-no microtransactions and dlcs to pay for
-music is amazing
there isn't a single flaw in this game, when buying this game you should buy also a copy for your friends and aditional 10 copies in case of meeting new people
Completely rng based around the corruption bosses but pretty good none the less.
