“Если вы устали от Extraction-шутеров и battle royale-игр и жаждете чего-то более сфокусированного на перестрелках, боях и просто получении удовольствия, а не на грайндинге и сезонах, я бы рекомендовал BattleBit Remastered.” Kotaku

This games was fantastic, but I cannot recommend it anymore because the devs have said fuck all for almost a year. Like literally nothing. They seem to have lost any want to work on the game after they made their money. Do not buy this. This will likely change if the devs ever actually say anything again.
Abandoned game by devs contemptuous to their player base. No update in over a year now so the playerbase is dead. DO NOT BUY
Alright folks sit down and lock in your bits. Battlebits is a fun massive online multiplayer shooter. It incorporates aspects of most large-scale shooters, and does it with some class. Early game was extremely fun with VOIP, and a lot of players still maintain that fun, albeit on a smaller scale. The weapon progression in the game makes it feel like a solid progress without getting to grindy or washy. The vehicle mechanics are really well done, speaking as a gamer who lives to fly, the flying mechanics are stellar. The maps, while few in variety, have been updated and semi-reflect a balanced fight on most maps.
Here is where the ugly bit gets in: the developers. It is now at the time of this writing, over a year since the last update for this great game was given. While it is known that developers run a tight schedule and that releases and updates can be delayed due to real life events, I find it hard to believe there is not even so much as a hotfix in place for the game. There are several mechanics that need tweaking, like people dodging bullets and the occasional cheater to name some of the few. It truly feels like the developers are done with the game and it will be in it's permanent state in the future. It's sad really, to see a game with a 124v124 lobby size dwindle down to just 2-3 active servers. This game could potentially rival a lot of modern shooters if it was given the time and dedication it deserves.
I'm leaving this review positive despite the developers lack of attention towards it. The game deserves to be played by anyone and if it isn't ever going to leave "early access" it needs to be made free.
Developers found a fun creative direction and proceeded to walk the game into a wall
I spent 1000 hrs before ultimately reviewing this game. I tried looking for a server dec 2024, couldnt even join one, its dead. My main critic: this had so much potential as tactical game as they originally intended, the run and gun casual format is good and is popular but ultimately repetitive. It was supposed be to similar to like Squad maybe even Arma. Replayability and modularity are what keeps games alive but I guess the devs decided to cash out.
Don't bother, has been a year without any updates. The devs refuse to communicate at all and actually address the community. Any kind of communication would've been great...a year ago. They have no clue what they're doing and it's a shame. Was a lot of fun but the unbalanced insanely fast movement that they REFUSE to fix and lack of content means it's not worth your money even on sale. New players don't stand a chance with how sweaty it is.
It sucks to have to give this game a negative review, but the devs abandoning it sucks more.
Unbelievable potential, wasted.
Maybe one day I can change this back to positive.
Happy One Year No-Update Anniversary Battlescam
This game on launch was some of the most fun I have had with a shooter. It filled a void that the Battlefield franchise left when EA started ruining it. Gunplay felt tight, movement was fluid, maps were destructible, and the community was having something I haven't seen in a shooter for years: Fun.
People were turning in to 5 star voice actors, there were intense firefights over fortifications built in the middle of nowhere, and it had a bit of morbid humor watching block men drag their screaming squad mate in to cover.
The game was receiving regular, albeit small updates with new maps, balance changes, etc. Devs were providing updates and conversing in their discord.
But the cracks were already starting to show.
Official servers were having issues, with the devs using the flimsy excuse of "Steam hasn't paid us yet for the sales" which was odd for the length of time that had passed, IMO they simply didn't want to pay the server costs when they saw how much it would be for how large the player base had quickly become.
The anti-cheat was laughably easy to bypass, and while the global banwaves for cheaters were fun to watch, it wasn't working as well as one would hope. But mention this anywhere on social media, and the devs would do their best to silence you. Youtube videos taken down and users banned from the discord.
The balance changes being made were often questionable at best, absurd at worst with the bulk of them being targeted at making snipers increasingly worthless while the medic class continued to do everything better with 0 downsides.Helicopters were ruining games for months before the developers finally stopped listening to the hardcore clans swearing up and down they were balanced (While their members racked up HUNDREDS of kills per match).Any other complaints about balance fell on deaf ears, and it seemed the developers very much had their own vision of the game but weren't sharing it, with some saying the devs were resentful the game had gotten popular when they pulled back on some of the more mil-sim elements.
Equally frustrating was while they ignored the community, streamers and celebrities were given preferential treatment with exclusive skins that many of them started essentially profiting off of, even though many of them quickly dropped the game with those skins being unobtainable outside a few thousand keys that were never refreshed.
Then the sound update happened and it was universally disliked, the community was immediately asking for a revert, but Oki (The primary developer) plugged his ears and went radio silent. That was a year ago, where we were promised a "Big Update" estimated to come out in April 2024 and that never happened. The community has dwindled to the point the servers are pretty much completely empty outside 1-2 in NA and EU, with the game struggling to maintain > 1000 players outside the most peak hours. The discord is now a humorless circle jerk run by tyrants and populated with boot-licking echo-chamber dwellers that ban anyone with the most milquetoast of criticism.
This game is dead and will never again regain the player numbers that it once had. These devs should never be trusted with a purchase ever again, but I doubt that is a concern because they clearly ran off with the money. Battlebit will never see a 1.0 release, and if by some miracle it does, it won't be worth your time as the only people left playing are cheaters and people taking the game way too seriously to have fun anymore.
Don't even waste the money on sale, the only entertainment this game has left to provide will be the deep-dive "What happened?" videos in the years to come talking about what a massive failure due to mismanagement this game was.
Over a year since the last update. This was supposed to be the "bf2042" killer, but sadly, it killed itself.
Fun game but literally zero updates in the last year. Absolutely insane for a game that had as hot as a start as it did.
The last update was actually released 1 year ago from the day im posting this review. It is not an exaggeration.
After a year without any updates or communication from the devs this amazing game has been abandoned. Hopefully someone else will take up the reigns left behind by them and bring back a true battlefield experience.
It was fun when the dev’s actually worked on it and listened to feedback, ya know, like a year ago.
In the game's current state, I do not recommend buying it. There hasn't been a notable update in like a year. The balance of the game is not in a good state either, with SMGs and PDWs being way too op as well as RPG spam being everywhere on tighter maps. If the devs come back to the game and fix these problems then i would reccomend buying it. Untill that happens just put it on your wishlist and wait.
I loved Battlebit Remastered for the time I spent playing the game, however I cannot recommend the game for the fact that it has been completely abandoned by its developers for roughly a year now. Please give your money to other developers who will appreciate your money more.
The game is fun. If your seeking it right now (Dec 24'), you'll probably find 1-2 full servers. The developers do not deserve your financial support.
At time of writing, it is 1 year anniversary of the game. Its holidays. But the Devs (SgtOkiDoki) is silent. Not just this month, or since thanksgiving...but since June when we were told more info would come soon. They are not responding to players rightful issues, they have not followed thru on multiple promises. They have changed the intended design of the game away from what the original Kickstarters were told it would be. Patch notes are having to be created by the community.
Yet to be sure, with not a trace or whisper the game is on sale now to ensure your money goes into their pocket.
I don't support toxicity in a game community - But unfortunately BBR lives up to the memes & negativity found on Reddit & Discord.
Get your quick kick if that is all you are interested in - but honestly, there are better indie devs out there right now more deserving of your time & money.
An absolute masterclass in how to screw up a game with a major hype advantage. Couldn't have had a better launch if they tried. Happened to come out around a complete flop of a battlefield. I don't think they could have mismanaged the game more if they actually tried. Blew off the community, couldn't put out an update or communicate to save their lives.
Devs don't give a shit, save your cash
the biggest upset i've felt in gaming since a loooooooooong time.
i can't really quite put it in a cohesive sentence.. this game was amazing at launch. battlefield-killer type of thing. not clunky with your over-modernized graphics, boot it up & get into a game. no stupid battle passes or anything, just a fun game to play & progress in. great community, great gameplay, overall just an amazing game to hop into & enjoy.
it received critical acclaim. it received praise on every single social media imagineable. it was THE hottest battlefield-esque shooter.
and look at it now. exactly 1 year without a single update, dead in the water, forgotten by both the developers and the community. and it's *ALL* because of the devs who can't possible comprehend what communication & transparency is like. it makes me so fucking mad. this was one of the only shooters i've enjoyed in the past decade and, as with many other things, the devs just had to say fuck it and run away with a bag of money after release.
genuinely, fuck you devs. if you read this, i hope you regret the mistake you've made by abandoning this and the loving, helpful playerbase you've had. whatever update you're making now, if you're even making anything at all, no one's going to give a single shit about. there was a moment for you to prove yourself as competent devs when you over a hundred thousand active players trying their absolute best to make this into a succcess, but now it's all gone & dusted. yet another hot release to sunk into the depths of steam charts.
this is more of an emotional review rather than an unbiased one but, whatever. is the game good at its core? of course. it's amazing. is it worth purchasing? no. not at all. not in any realm of imagination. if you see this game somehow blow up again and the devs magically have a change of heart then.. sure? but at this stage it's just fuckin' sad lol. a genuinely amazing game that i loved being abandoned by careless, moneyhungry devs. whats new?
No update since December last year. No news items since March.
If this was not an early access title, it would've been fine, but here we are.
Devs: please start doing something. Anything.
Devs have abandoned the game. As of writing it's been nearly a year without any updates, and communication has been laughably poor or just straight up non-existent. Stay away, because even for $15 this game isn't worth it anymore.
Servers are basically dead outside of peak hours in NA, and the 1k people still left playing never stopped, so god help you as you get farmed for an hour straight.
This was a lot of fun in 2023. There were some controversial updates however and many players left. It is impossible to find a playable lobby unless you login from US or Europe during peak hours. It has been 360 days since the last update, and the dev team has lost all trust with the remaining community. I’ll try it out again if their massive update ever happens, but I’ve moved on at this point
The developers of this game are peak grifters, scammed millions with this product. The best advice and the most honest thing I can ask you reader is to not give to these grifters artist any money, but also you'll be buying an absolute abandoned game (more of this below). The devs/mods totally abandoned the game after the money rug-pull (more of this below as well). By the way, all of the devs are full blown soyjack-tier weaklings social justice warriors from Reddit, I'm not making this up, their behavior is exactly this way (more of this below), but they also look like in the meme.
What happened to this game is the perfect example of early access scams: Release a barebones game, then give free copies and incentives to streamers and youtubers to build hype and lure victims into the scam. Then they pretended to be active developing the game the first two months releasing absurdly tiny updates to buy some time until they can collect the profits from their sales, while at the same time, more victims keep coming, buying and falling into the scam for the time being. Then when finally reached the date to legally cash out all their profits, they did a massive rug-pull crypto fashion and totally dissapeared. They stopped posting updates on steam, also stopped all communication on steam as well, went to one of their sketchy discord servers were they basically act like absolute dictators banning anyone daring to mention all this. They pretended to be active there to keep feeding lies and hopes to the rest of the volunteers that they got around working as slaves totally for free moderating what's left of the game or the community, as damage controllers.
Okicoki as well, one of the main developers did a crusade around youtube taking down many videos from many youtubers denouncing the rampant cheating in the game. Those videos were about the anticheat not working, cheaters bypassing the anticheat with ease (more of this below), public denounce of the moderators abuse but specially the public denounce to expose the false "development" calling it what truly was, a scam. Sgt Okicoki, the main developer, which is an absolute liar and a massive despot, went around youtube exploiting the report-flag system to take down many videos claiming "copyright infringement", all this was a way of damage control to censor public denounce and to keep control of the narrative before the whole scam blew up over everyone's faces.
Game right now and back then in its peak got these massive issues:
- Rampant and unstoppable Cheating problem since its release, the anticheat does not work (literaly you can close the anticheat in your OS task-manager once you launch the game).
- The game went from more than 100.000 users online to now being barely 600 around. All the servers died, many regions no longer host solid servers or player base anymore like AUS/ASIA/South America.
- No updates in a year.
- The game moderators are social justice warriors, mostly furries (I'm not making this up is real) and lots of LGHDTV+ cultists as well, (the same ones around their sketchy discord echo chamber server). All of them went full rampant banning thousands of players for the most innocuous things during the first 2/3 weeks after the launch, this damaged the game irreversibly, people stopped using in-voice game chat and text-chatting completely due fears of getting banned for basically any word or comment (which in most majority of cases was always completely taken out of context).
- Almost no servers left, totally flatline dead community online, and the few matches around are infested with cheaters since the anticheat does not work, but specially now that the devs dissapeared and moderators are no longer monitoring the reports.
To summarize:
Avoid this product like the plague, and if you see these developers in the future anywhere else, finger point them and denounce their practices for everyone to see.
Get your money elsewhere and give it to any other honest developer with good faith working hard to deliver good products instead.
This was exactly what fps gaming has needed for years, and then the devs abandoned it...
if they just want to take the money and run then whatever, but at least sell the game to someone that will actually treat the game how it needs to be treated.
it needs major balance updates, new maps, vehicles, weapons, anything other than leaving an award winning gem to rot for essentially a year
I really really really really want to give a thumbs up for this game because its soooo good. BUT! 14 months without an update... Last update on the update was 6 months ago on Discord. Literally ZERO communication with the community and ZERO expectation of an update at this point. The problem isn't just new content... its the fact that bugs aren't being addressed or fixed. Complete communication blackout on Steam discussions, and Discord barely tells you anything.
The last update has come out december 2023. The official discord shows work being done but the players have received no communication for the last 6 months. There is a big "overhaul" update coming but it has been delayed first to january, then march, the "mid april" and then mid april became "when it's ready". The player count is dwindling and the servers are full of sweats who exploit the game to see through smoke and walls.
Do not buy this until the update comes out (which is to say never buy this)
looked promising, but dont buy unless you're in NA. the servers outside are almost completely dead (1-2 players on entire continents). if you're looking for this typa game theres something called "scorched earth" on roblox although if I could choose it'd be this game.
Game was fun in its prime. Now it's shell of its former self. The Developers have abandoned the game months ago and it has just been slowly dying from there. No one is playing in the OCE/Asia region where I am based.
The game is still fun to play when you find a descent server. I really hope the Dev team delivers when releasing the promised update.
this game was fun for like the first 5 months then they like made it feeeeeeeeellllll offff hardddd the prox chat was fun untill no one used it anymore like youll get the occasonall cry for help but after that its just like not a good use of it and also with all the changes to guns it was hard to tell what to use and also I know the game is supposed to look like a roblox game but like improve the lighting change some Textures make it look better... 9/10 when it came out now 4/10
I always consistently have fun when I have the time to get on, but it's really sad watching it slowly die out for various reasons that don't need to be happening in the first place.
as the time of this review, there has been 271 days without a single update. from the all time peak of 86K players, there is now around 1500 left. devs have jumped ship, mods are banning people who is rightfully asking where the update is.
save your money, do not join this sinking ship.
Damn, I wish I played more when the game was supported.
Great game, hopefully the developers continue working on it, but 9 months with no updates isn't the most promising sign.
Completely dead in AU due to dev incompetence and unwillingness to update the game. They killed official servers, and refused to update the game in a year. complete and utter total waste of potential.
As others have said, game is dead and has not been updated in forever.
Great game overall but there are some issues. The first and biggest one is that at the time of writing this, the game has been completely abandoned and communication is either abysmal or nonexistent. Second is that the RPG spam is really annoying and the weapon balancing gets old. Because of the weight system and how it ties in to your movement speed, choosing an SMG or PDW with minimal armor makes you so fast that it's just plain obnoxious. Combine that with the rocket spam, which is available on the same class that gets the PDWs, and you have a pretty good formula to infuriate people with no hope of the devs ever doing anything about it because the game hasn't gotten a noteworthy update in like a year.
This game was truly one of the best massive scale FPS games. During its launch and the following months, it was one of the most fun I had in a massive multiplayer game especially with the chaotic fights and random voice chats from random players.
Sadly, this game is as good as dead. I play in SEA and all the servers are also dead. If only the devs didn't abandon this game.
If you weren't there when battlebit was in its prime, then you missed out.
A few servers keep this game alive.
Lack of meaningful updates.
Devs took the money and ran.
Save your money and time.
I heard they are gonna release some super cool skins though!
It was good while it lasted - but, game is dead due to lack of promised updates from development and is unplayable in most markets because of low player count. Maybe the development team will come back but it looks like they took the money and ran on this one. Save yourself the $15.
if you are thinking of buying this game be aware they just stopped doing updates and disappeared nearly a year ago
The game started out strong but unfortunately the dev appears to have mostly abandoned the game and left with the money.
BattleBit Remastered has a lot of potential as a large-scale, low-poly shooter with a chaotic and fun multiplayer experience. The mix of accessible graphics and intense battles feels like a fresh take on the genre. However, the game is severely undermined by its current issues.
Cheaters are rampant, making the experience frustrating and unfair. It’s not uncommon to be taken out by players pulling off impossible kills or engaging in blatantly suspicious behavior. The game’s anti-cheat system doesn’t seem capable of keeping up, leaving honest players at a massive disadvantage.
On top of that, frequent inexplicable deaths break immersion and enjoyment. Whether it’s random headshots from nowhere or unexplainable moments that make you question the mechanics, these issues chip away at the fun factor.
BattleBit has a foundation worth building on, but until these major problems are addressed, it’s hard to fully recommend. If the devs can tighten up the anti-cheat and improve overall fairness, this game could become the standout it’s meant to be. For now, it’s a promising but deeply flawed experience.
At the games current state, its not all that enjoyable, but youre taking this from someone who has nearly 500 hours. The why is:
1. The game is hellishly small in terms of playerbase and servers. I essentially have 3 options as an east coast USA player:
A. Play the *single* open official server, that's 127v127, nothing else.
B. Join one of the community hosted clan or custom servers (Which usually end up being a one side steamroll server due to the high level players flocking to it).
C. Join a high ping non-american sever, and suffer the lag.
Its gotten to the point where I start running into the same players very frequently, and though its nice to see them, games start to bleed together and mostly all feel the same. Especially since the community decided which maps and gamemodes are worth playing, you'll almost never touch the other gamemodes besides Domination, Conquest/Infantry Conquest, and Rush. You'll almost never touch the nighttime versions of maps. I'd say I've only played night time ~25-30 times in my 487 hours.
2. Updates aren't shown here, they're on the discord. The devs essentially had a huge fail in terms of their major overhaul coming, and decided to just have a "When it's finished" approach, but have also just dropped doing small updates altogether. It's a very small dev team, around 6 people, but if you get the game *now* be ready to play it in this small state, for who knows how long.
3. Due to the size of the game, the players that have stayed are usually the people you'll see topping leaderboards. Games feel way more difficult to actually play than they have in a minute, and I find myself sweating just to exist some days, *or* its a spawntrap snorefest other days. Even games are feeling rarer and rarer, especially ones that go on to the games time.
Overall, the game itself is *fantastic.* Gunplay feels nice, their class balancing made essentially all the classes fun to some degree (Except Leader, not even a real class imo), and the community for the most part is pretty welcoming. It's just at the present, not worth getting. A very fun game that'll lose its luster very quick if you get into it now. Wait until the game gets its major overhaul that's currently in development, wait a day or two to see how the game holds up, and get it if you feel the time is right by then.
This game started out with a great dev team who actually cared about their game. As of right now the has not received a major update since February with its last actual update being a small very minor update with a few bug fixes which was back in march. The game had announcements everywhere about some huge mid April update which it never received. Its like the devs gave up or outright forgot about the game since we have not heard anything from them in months. I would like to recommend this game since I personally love it or at lest used to but I simply cannot due to the lack of content. If the dev team actually starts updating the game again I would absolutely recommend this game.
It's a pretty good and fun big-team-battle game, BUT, be aware that the devs most likely took the money and ran.
There is pretty much no hope for future updates and patches, as the devs are most likely doing coke in Ibiza.
3/5
Great game ruined by the devs that abandoned it and bad development decisions. 8 months ago we heard talks about "don't worry, we're still here, and listening", since then we had 0 updates, 0 announcements, and no communication from the developers whatsoever.
Not even a "Just wait for X months, there are new stuff on the way!"
Just silence.
Take a quick search through SteamCharts about this game, it'll answer the "Should I buy this game" question.
Dead game. no support from the devs (they are over 6 months late on their update with no reasoning why) was fun while it lasted... shame they grabbed the cash and dipped
This game used to be fun. Unfortunatly the player base is so small that there is only ever 1 server for NA 32v32 and its a no snipers server. Gun balance is terrible, the only guns ever used are the vector and the grozna. Not worth your time.
The devs have been promising an update/revamp for about a year. Last time they promised an update in March but since then nothing. Last minor update was in January or February, can't remember now.
The game is fun, gunplay is amazing however the game lacks features, polish and somewhat balance. The devs did not know what to do with the success and now this feels like an abandoned, dead game.
Still hoping for a comeback though.
Well..
this game is something..
it has potential. is really addicting for those who like instant Action
PVP is great. u really get the immersion sensation not gonna lie.
game SUPER funny. specially if played with friends
Proximity chat is the thing from people Blasting Music mid combat to bby cries and Out lough Laughs.
Sadly Devs don't Update the game often..
for casual play is a bagger.
also very important the game audio is kinda good. you can hear footsteps clearly.
Really good battlefield style game, too bad they havent updated the game in about a year so most of the player base fell off. Hopefully a future big update/full release of the game will bring people back but the game is sadly kinda dead
Can't recommend this damn game in 2024, UNLESS they update it. I CANNOT fcking believe how much this game has fallen, you'd think with the millions these guys made, they would hire even just 3 more devs to make things a little easier but no. whatever i guess, got 400 hours of playtime out of this, im fine with that and hope they still manage to update this damn game
