Описание
The summer heat has arrived earlier than it does most years.
By day there are cicadas, and by night, the higurashi.
Hinamizawa, a small village in the Japanese countryside.
While there are fewer than two thousand people there, every year, 'something' happens.
For the past 4 years, someone has died, and someone else has gone missing.
This series of deaths and disappearances is connected to the local resistance against a now-abandoned dam construction project.
A murder during the construction, covered up by the local authorities, is being re-enacted year after year.
Is it a conspiracy? A coincidence? Or perhaps a curse?
Someone who was supposed to be there... isn't.
Someone who wasn't supposed to be there... is.
Someone who was alive last night is now dead, and someone who is here right now isn't alive.
There is no way to avert this tragedy. There is no choice but to give up trying.
But even so... please don't give up.

Dancing on the roof!
Love the build up in and the interweaving of actual ideas and information with over-the-top crazy. This one was quite the ride, the ending was one of the weaker I would say, but the suspense and slow creeping mystery up to that point was some of the best writing the series has had so far. The author does a good job of feeding just enough information to let your imagination run at times, leaving you wondering which parts are relevant, and which are not.
Wow, I just finished this chapter and this has got to be the most "rollercoaster"-esque chapter so far. There were points where I laughed at what was going on, where I cried at what the characters were experiencing, where I was eager to see what would happen next.
Beautiful ending, just don't turn the page.
I love the story in this one, I feel its the most well written chapter so far. It was so thrilling watching what happened in the school and I felt for Rena. I was a lil dissapointed about the reveal about chapter 1 but it makes sense. amazing story and the best ending so far, it reinforced my love for keichi and Rena as well. I also love how everyone helped at the end and that one conversation with Rena was really impactful.

November 14th - Higurashi When They Cry: Tsumihoroboshi - 19h 36m - (100%) - Started November 3rd - 11 Days Taken - Beat the chapter, read all the tips and the staff room.
This chapter of Higurashi is so good that the review I was going to post here is so long that Steam won't let me.
"I can fix her", said the absolute madman.
What a brilliantly written chapter; insanely mind-blowing and life-changing. The more I read Higurashi, the more I appreciate the strength of R07's writing and get inspired by it.
I believe this is where Higurashi truly hits its peak. So far, it's my favorite, and I'm loving every bit of it.
If you've made it this far, keep going. As the description says,
"There is no choice but to give up trying.
But even so... please don't give up."
Easily the best in the series so far i cant wait to finish it. The only problem i had and have with ryukishi stuff in general is that he tends to pad out fight scenes with unnecessary filler [this happens a toooon in umineko] and its really annoying when it happens like the fight between rena and keiichi at the end took like 15 minutes to read and most of it was just repeating what had already been said or saying what had no need to be said like [direct quote] "Everyone was captivated by our fight. They were swept up in our fight. We both had weapons. Weapons deadly enough to seriously hurt one another. " and during A climactic scene like that it kind of ruins the energy that was upheld until that point. That being said Everything else about this chapter was perfect Read this shit!!!
