this vr game bites it will not start up at all I have no idea what else to do. Ive tried all the tech suggestions and still nothing. Stay away until they fix this problem
Seems to lock up during the launch and makes me need to reset steam vr. never had this problem with any other vr games
The track is nice, but it's way too short. There's free demos that last longer. IF the dev was just honest, I could recommend this game because it delivers a nice setting for a roller coaster VR ride even if it's too short.
This game has not worked, at all, yet. I even reinstalled it, and still it just loads a splash screen on the desktop, but nothing on the vive. What a piece of junk, I want my money back.
Please bring back the old version. Can't get the "remastered" to present in the HTC VIVE headset The new perspective is not appealing.
1. The process is too short
2. Compared to dizziness, it seems to be a common problem in roller coaster games
3. The art is not bad, the scenery is beautiful
One track took me 2.3 rides plus the short demo video of another track to be able to review. its more of a demo really. i will try to refund this.
Main reason to refund is when i quit the game it tried to connect to "epic games" did this mf try to digg my data?
My windows 7 firewall blocked that asking for if allow.
i would not reccomond this! everytime i try to "play" im like 5 feet to the side of the actual track so i keeop going through walls
The only highlight is the dragon.
Spend a dollar for a essentially a video and a trailer with settings to adjust rendering quality that make hardly a difference adjusted.

If you're reading this review, that's because you're either interested in virtual reality or you're already an enthusiast. That said, it's undoubtable that you've already heard about the original Rift Coaster; the roller coaster that started it all. The legend that made famous YouTubers overreact and made standing people fall on their butts. Now it's back, and in a remastered format.
Although it's a legendary classic in its own right, Rift Coaster HD has not aged well in terms of enjoyability; even with improved graphics. It's the shortest ride that I've ever personally taken on a virtual coaster, clocking in at around 2 minutes. Yes, I rode this coaster three complete times just to write this review. The graphic quality doesn't even seem to change despite the low, medium, and high settings, but on the bright side it no longer looks like it came from the original Playstation era. They did add a fire-breathing dragon as well.
With all that said, VR VISIO did put effort into this remaster. Rift Coaster looks like it was built again from the ground up in HD. As aforementioned, it's also a classic. It goes on sale quite often, so it's recommended to grab it for $0.60 CAD when you can. The full $1 price isn't too staggering either. Though others have had problems with stuttering, I had no issues on my GTX 1080/i7-6700k combo.
Rating: 2.5/5.0 - It's not awful, but it's not great.

It might be a short ride but the sounds and how it looks makes you feel as if you really are there, it isnt a game as most should know, its just a coaster ride, its about 30 seconds. not long but gets the point for the price
feels real, looks and sounds real
only issue i have is that your sitting in a wooden chair, not even the idea of it being attached to the rail, just floating over it, but all in all its fun and a awesome way to show off your vr headset to someone who has never used vr before
It's $0.99 so just buy it and ride a roller coaster. what else can I say... The sound doesn't work so go pipe in some Olivia Newton John or whatever blows your dick up. The old lady rode it and she fell out of the car and broke her ass - just kidding.
Good to demo to first time VR players.
Coasters, at least for me, got old rather quickly but were alot of fun at first.
This is a cheap and fun coaster to show friends.
Worth a buy for this reason.

Dont waste your time. The reactions on this game are 2+ years old. There are way better vr roller coaster games out there. Its glitchy and buggy. I have a 1080ti. The game isnt smooth. especially when looking side to side.
rift coaster review
Didn't know what to expect, heven't seen a roller coaster in VR before, absolutely excellent.
It had me gripping on to the back of the sofa. Terrific example for the mother in law when she's next over.
It's short but there's a fair bit of work gone into this, well worth the money.
Rift coaster is one of the rides that everyone had on the oculus dk2 including myself which was very popular.
I had to get this with it being remastered but was disappointed with the frame rate issues.
This has now been patched with no issues for me at all.
For 71p this is well worth it, even more so bringing back memories for all the oculus dk2 owners who had this.

I changed my review to recommend. There's a few reasons for this.
1) Price - .99 cents is the right price for the content (very short ride)
2) Improvements - game runs much smoother now, still stuttered a bit on high, but on low and medium settings ran very well, dragon's fire breathing looks pretty cool now
3) Responsive dev - fixed the description, updated game, etc.,
This is one of the best looking VR roller coaster games out there, but it's just extremely short. Still a must buy for roller coaster fans.

The reason I do NOT recommend this game is because this developer is lying on the store page. "Crazy tracks", plural. This implies there is more than one track to experience. There is not. There is only one track. One track which you can exprience in High, Medium, or Low Settings. It's still one track. And I couldn't tell the difference between high, medium, or low settings (past the home page where you can see the effects on the shadows) other than the frame rates really stuttered on high (I have Oculus Rift with GTX 1060 and i7, 16 gb ram)

They even messed up the dragon, doesn't breathe fire at you, WTF
How can they charge for this?, it lasts less then that free desert vr coaster game, no matter what settings you use it has stuttering. If they fix the stuttering make it last longer or add 1 or 2 more tracks id change my review but for now this isnt worth anything.
Terrible. Start the game and there are 2 boxes. Look at the left to start Rift Coaster HD and look to the Right to Start Rift Coaster Vr. If you look at the VR its just a movie screen like player, that shows you a video of cool looking tracks in multiple enviroments. It plays for about 30 seconds and then takes you back to the main menu. You look at the HD box, and it actually loads up the simulation, its the only " game " I have played so far that has stuttering, and its only 1 track.
