It's an interesting game, although slightly frustrating if you don't know how the puzzles work.
It reminds me of The Incredible Machine, where you have to put different parts together so that they interact with each other.
Although in this game the different parts don't mesh well together and don't make sense.
I think there is a lot of wasted potential with this game, with a bit of polish this would be an epic game to play.
Also, there is one achievement which is slightly glitched, however it is possible to get it on a second playthrough, once you have uncovered the secret room.
games not worth £5 too easy, not long enough.
No
Too short, too many bugs, too little response from "developers" (read that "students who have graduated"). This is a fairly clever little game that was not really ready to become a product before, it appears, the course it was written for ended.
We never could figure out how to get into the secret room, even though we must have "solved" the game, as the credit roll came up after we solved the last puzzle. But, there were a couple of unchecked items still on our list of quests. Worse, one of the walkthroughs clearly shows that same item marked as completed just after an action that one would expect to complete it, yet that did not get it marked completed when we took that action ourselves.
There doesn't seem to be any response from the developers for a couple of years, at least. Steam ought to take this one down.

Eh, it's alright. The game has a cute atmosphere that reminds me of Supraland. And like Supraland, there are a number of environmental puzzles that are fairly easy to solve.
However, unlike its successor, the puzzles in this game are not rewarding to solve. And the non-environmental puzzles that I ran into were all of the same form: a really annoying jigsaw-like puzzle involving a hexagonal grid. These puzzles were not fun or challenging, they were just frustrating due to poor UX.
Overall, it's worth trying, but there are definitely better options out there.
Stunning visuals and a great soundtrack!
Be sure to look for the additional content after the game ends though, it was an essential part of the experience for me.
With the exception of the environmental puzzles, all the puzzles seem to be the same hexagonal type, where you connect two nodes together using pieces of varying shape. I didn't find the cute Victorian-style graphics able to rescue the repetitive nature of the puzzles themselves.
Nice idea, but unfortunately not well done: very dated graphics even if you crank up every setting, extremely easy puzzles, very short playing time, and - last not least - no chance to get "perfect game" due to failed last achievement. Don't buy, maybe on a deep sale.
A fun puzzle game, some of the end puzzles are harder but I would've wanted to see more of the challenging puzzels and more story after you "beat" archie. Good atmosphere, beautiful models just wouldve liked more.
I liked it, but...there's not much to do afterwards.
Just finished the game in 54 minutes.... It was a fun ride, original concept and a nice visual style.
However the sudden ending was too short and sudden.
Definetly not worth 8,-
Cons:One of the main problem with this game is that it only takes around 2 or less hours to complete it. I also feel as though the story was unfinished. I wish maybe that we could play as Emma when she is the automatician. I also found a key that you can pick up and never found the meaning of it. In the room where the fountain is there is a door that is locked that i thought the mystery key was for. What are all those do not enter signs on those doors about. Why didn't I ever get to go upstairs. Who are the people that I'm competing with?
Pros?- The puzzles are easy, that could be a con though.
I did a play through on my channel too. It only lasted 3 episodes. My channel is Blue Razzle.
Started playing this game while eating, finished the game almost before my food, not bad but needs to be longer for the money spent, I'd only get it if on sale
Charming puzzle game that ends too soon
Introduction
The game mixes solving Rube Goldberg machines with environmental puzzles. Instead of giving you loose pieces like in the Incredible Machine, you're given complete tile sets each with several start and finish points that you have to piece together. It's a bit like the game 'the Mouse Trap'. The graphics are really well done and I genuinly like the look of the Whodos. You can also talk to the Whodos who will give you a tiny bit of back story about the mansion. You can pick up a limited number of items and use them to solve puzzles in the various rooms of the mansion. This gives the game some variety and prevents it from being just a string of puzzles.
Weak points
However the story about what happened at the mansion as is promised on the storepage is merely mentioned once or twice instead of actually told. I still don't know what an automatician is, why Emma wants to be one, where the Whodos came from and what happened to the previous automatician. The game is also limited to the ground floor of the mansion and just as the puzzles where becoming slightly more difficult, I had solved them all. I had expected to do more puzzles in the rest of the mansion so hopefuly that will be added in DLC. The Rube Goldberg puzzles are fun but in the end I discovered they were actually easier than I thought. You're given a limited number of "puzzle pieces" at the start of the level. And you have to use those puzzle pieces to connect the start and end tile. In the beginning you need to use all puzzle pieces just to get from start to finish. But I managed to solve the final puzzle using only three of the five available pieces. I thought you were supposed to use all of them, so I spent a relative long time solving the previous three puzzles trying to fit all available pieces between start and finish. I probably could have solved them quicker by leaving out one or two pieces.
The game is played using keyboard and mouse and even though you can move Emma around using the gamepad, it's impossible to interact with anything. So gamepad isn't really supported and probably only responds because it's part of the Unity engine they've used. Also you can press the Tab key to open up your inventory and notes. I thought I'd mention it here since you won't find that piece of information in the game itself.
Cons:
- Short, feels like a demo to a full game
- Not much story
- Relatively simple puzzles
- No support for gamepad
- No big secret at the end
Pros:
- Smooth graphics
- Whodos have lots of character
- Puzzles are fun to play
[*]Cheap
Conclusion
While it doesn't feel like an early access game, since it runs smoothly and I've found no bugs or glitches, it feels incomplete. The game doesn't deliver on the promises done on the store page. The story is only partly told and there is no big reveal at the end. After finishing the final puzzle the Whodos tell you that you are worthy to do more puzzles and maybe even become the next automatician. I hope they end up adding more puzzles to the rest of the mansion and actually tell the whole story.
So I was able to beat the game pretty fast, I'll keep it around for any posible extending to the story. As of right now though the game is very short and can be completed from anywhere to a couple of minutes to about a solid hour. I'm really looking forward to see this game grow. If you like a nice puzzle game, this game is perfect
a very cool game about using animated puzzle pieces to connect two points. the graphics are fantastic and the concept is really unique. if you like puzzle games this one is for you.
