I really liked this game. I love the art style and the point and click as well. It was a great story, and I would play it again. I do think I could've lengthened my playing to 2.5 or 3 hours if I really tried my best to figure everything out on my own.
SUMMARY: Simple point & click adventure with a great story behind it.
PROS
+ The graphics are what you expect from a pixelated point & click, but the animations and close ups add another level to it.
+ The story is simple, but well executed.
+ Nothing feels contrived or unnecessary. It's a smooth process. Most people wont ever need to lookup a guide for a hint.
+ The music is grand.
CONS
- The length almost makes it feel like it's part 1 of a 3 part game, and I wouldn't have minded more. That said, the length might have made me appreciate this game more than if it was longer.
I'm pretty late to the party on this one, but I enjoyed it. After you play it be sure to go to the discussion forum, it's as entertaining as the game. The puzzles aren't very challenging (source: I finished with zero Google), you will love or hate the ending... there is no in between.
Takes about an hour to play. I got caught on a few of the puzzles, but I'm also admittedly bad at point n' click games.
The story was okay. For the $2.50 I paid to play it, I don't regret it, especially by playing it on Halloween.
Football Game is a brief point and click thriller that will stick with you. Within there is this uncanny presentation of American high school football culture the feels strange and very European. This strange framing pairs nicely with Lynchian vibes found in the story. If you love Twin Peaks and more story driven point click adventures, Football Game is worth playing.
Beautiful short game, perfect music.
Love a simple premise with a Lynchian twist. And surprisingly, scores highly on the "it feels good to drive around and listen to music" index that's normally just for GTA-likes.
