Bo and Ao are graduating university and preparing to leave the flat they’ve lived in together for a year. Thanks to visa limitations, Ao is forced to return to Japan, leaving Bo in England. Disillusioned by post-educational life and shoved aside by a government who doesn’t want them there, both are trying to come to terms with their uncertain futures. And deep under their South London flat, something grows...
Wander through an intimate flat and examine the everyday belongings of Bo and Ao. Have BBQs, play video games, and stay up late just talking in bed. Follow the day to day activities and conversations of two queer, non-binary students and their friends. Get to know Lu, the multi-eyed, animal-like new flatmate.
No Longer Home was born when the developers were similarly forced apart after university, and decided to stay in touch by working on a game together. Development duo Hana and Cel chose this project as a way to explore and express the emotions that came with saying goodbye.

No Longer Home is a nice casual game. The dialogues are well-written, the designs are beautiful and the ambiant is cozy. I recommend it!!! 💗
Aside from what most people wrote about slow game pace, what bothers me the most is the horrible writing. It's like the text was written by someone that created this game for a high school project. It's bad and without any emotion.
I only paid €2,95 for it on sale, but still decided to request a refund.
One of the best games I have ever played. A game that takes the anxiety and dread of Kentucky Route Zero while giving a distinctive queerness to its text and themes. I've played hundreds of games, but few of them have ever spoken to me as much as No Longer Home.
quite a fine indie game. the visuals were most appealing and apparently i liked the camera turning thing more than most poeple. it was kind of exciting to hunt for hotspots and be able to hear more of their story, not to mention to pet the cats and hear them purr. speaking of story, yeah we have come across more interesting and exciting stories in games, but the characters were liekable and relatable enough for me. the music was soothing if a bit melancholic, fitting the game's general theme. all in all a good experience. recommended for those who like slow paced indie adventures.
I played this game at just the right time. It clearly isn't for everyone, but I think for the people it does work for it will WORK. This is a perfect-length short title that expresses a particular nest of emotions about the changes in stages of life fantastically. Some people in the reviews found the game to be slow, but I would describe it more as meditative. There's time within the game to properly think about this environment, to live in it for a brief moment. And I appreciated that.

This Game just wasn't for me.
I'm someone that plays a lot of Visual Novels, but this one just couldn't catch me. After the first half of the Game I didn't even care anymore because the dialoug was as flat as the screen I played it on. I think the problem is, I don't care for either Bo or Ao since all we see is that one evening befor they move out. There maybe people who can relate to them regardless but I wasn't one of them.
Still the game isn't bad and just because I couldn't enjoy it doesn't mean someone else can't. Why do I give it a Thumbs down then? Simply because I think the asking Price for nearly 15€ is way to much for what you recieve, even if you are someone who can relate to the Story. If you are able to grab in on sale it is worth a shot but not for the full Price.

I really liked the game, it left a bittersweet feeling in my heart.
I enjoyed the experience to switch between the perspectives of Bo and Ao. It added depth to the story, as you see the shared apartment and their life together, as well as their own individual story and struggles through both sets of eyes.
The whole atmosphere of the game was subtle but effective in the way of emphasizing themes of disorientation, belonging, and change or...well the end of something.
One of the aspects I like most about the game is how the environment constantly shifts, almost like a dynamic theater stage. The transitions between locations and perspectives might be disorienting (maybe even unpleasant) for some, but I found it perfectly suited to the story's tone.
The music/sound complements the atmosphere perfectly. It adds to the overall experience without overpowering the narrative. In this case less really is more.
My first impulse was to write that this is a "cozy" game, but I would describe No Longer Home as more melancholic and contemplative. It’s a quiet, very slow and short reflective experience that might not be for everyone, but if you’re in the mood for something that speaks to the quieter, more introspective parts of life, this game is definitely worth your time.
An interesting story with pretty visuals.
The narrative is clearly based on a specific experience of the writers so it might not be relatable to everyone but it touches on topics such as gender identity, poverty, gentrification, immigration and the general experience of growing up. Because the game is short it feels like none of these topics are explored very deeply but it can be enough for people who relate to any of them. The overall vibe reminded me a lot of the movie I Saw the TV Glow.
I think this game could've benefited a lot from some editing because it feels repetitive and long-winded at times. Overall it's an enjoyable experience, but definitely not for everyone.
I had a tough time getting through this game and pretty much just ended up barely registering all of the dialogue early on and only completed it to get it off of my list. It was hard to connect with or care about Ao/Bo even when I had faced similar feelings of apprehension, lost, trying to self-identify, and the like. A lot of the dialogue seemed disingenuous or sort of faux deep especially when trying to touch on depression. The way they communicated with each other and their friends felt like just acquaintances and I was being put through minutes of empty small talk.
Aside from that, it was difficult to get actions to register and many times I'd end up across the room because I somehow clicked the action of something across the room even though I was trying to click on a microwave in front of me. It started feeling slow and tedious with the panning in and out that you could not skip and the character movement somehow felt how I felt dealing with how much panning in/out there was. The dialogue choices were inconsequential and some of the choices seem kind of silly to be saying. This game just was not it for me.
