what a good game! I played with my girlfriend and we enjoyed it a lot. We didn-t understand the story, does anyone know what it means? Thanks guys, good night.
This is a beautiful little puzzle game all about continuity and detail. This game exemplifies that satisfying feeling when things click together through its complex puzzles that arise through its seemingly simplistic and intuitive mechanics. This game needs no words, literally, and the level of effort that went into it shows for itself. I only wish it were longer, but everything here is still well worth playing.
Gorogoa is a lovely puzzle game with plenty of "wow's" and "whoa's." The way the story panels connect and flow will make you wonder how it was possible to hand draw this. Fun to play, didn't want it to end. When I completed it, I went back for more. Highly recommend!
I got this game on a discount, but I regret I did. The game isn't expensive anyway, and it's worth every penny.
It's an incredibly refreshing and creative take on the puzzle genre. Without a single word, but with great attention to visual detail, we glimpse a story of great beauty and tragedy set within a strange, yet familiar world. The complete experience is nothing short of ephemeral.
From the gameplay perspective, the puzzles employ some innovative and unique mechanics while still operating within extremely reasonable logical framework. It's not a difficult game, and it doesn't take long to complete. If you have only a few hours, and are in the mood for some cozy puzzle time, this one is definitely for you.
The game is good for a puzzle game. It has one or 2 moon logic but is overall very easy. The game story wise let the player come to his own conclusion on what happens. This game is refreshing in a way. It's very short so the gimmick of the game does not wear on a player. Overall a great buy during a sale. Solid 10/10
Very creative and the music was great. A little melancholy but definitely adds character to this work of art. I think what drives me to play these games is to discover who the creator is by the story they tell or the imagery they choose to display. A great game to play after a busy day, very soothing.
Really enjoyable calm puzzle game that challenges your mind with ever more intricate and deep puzzles. Took about an hour and a half to beat and was fun all the way through!
Very short but incredibly unique with very nice artwork.
A fairly short game but a very clever puzzle. It also have a deep story although it is a bit abstract. Super recommended for puzzle lovers, and a must buy.
The art is pretty and the puzzles are clever. Gives off rusty lake vibes where the puzzles are abstract and there's a story line.
An incredibly unique puzzle game unlike anything I've played before. It's a shame it's so short, though I bet it took ages to develop.
I didn't like the mechanics, and despite the short runtime (a little under 2 hours) I was frustrated most of the time I was playing. It is an extremely pretty game though.
A short but very enjoyable game. Really interesting puzzles but at 90 minutes I would be disappointed to pay full price. As it is, I brought the game on sale at $5 and was happy I did!
Game was very good. Was originally drawn to it because of the artstyle. Needless to say, this game is fascinating. I can only compare it to Superliminal. Although not 3D or perspective-like, this game still deals with some mind-bending mechanics. 10/10 for me.
An elegant puzzle game that reminds me of paper cut dioramas/shadow box art. It's beautifully animated and figuring out how pieces fit together is fun. It is a very short game and can be completed under an hour. I recommend playing the demo after you complete the game.
It’s really unique! I love the gameplay, hand drawn art style and silent narrative.
Games can be a distraction and sometimes that’s ok.
Buy it on sale
This game was on my wishlist for some time and I got it when it was on sale. I checked the reviews here before buying and saw that people played it for 3-4 hours. I said, okay, a short game, should entertain me for at least 3 hours. Then I finished the game in 1 hour. Kinda let down. Honestly, I would refund it if I haven't got it on sale. It's a good puzzle game, just extremely short. If it were not for the visuals, I'd say it was like a browser game. So yeah, get it on sale. Don't pay the full price.
It's ok if discounted, otherwise brief. I like the concept but the story is all over the place.
Just a beautiful game with mind blowing puzzles. Every chapter has its own unique twists to it. Enjoyed it so much would recommend it to anyone who wants to be immersed in a world full of puzzles, or just to anyone who wants a bit of brain teasers.
I beat the main story part of this puzzle game in 1 sitting, I am so incredibly pleased! It was SO FUN to figure out how to slide and zoom in and out of all the pieces! I really really loved it. One of the most satisfying puzzle games I have ever played 10/10. I look forward to more by these creators!
Very fun little puzzle game that explores its mechanics well and doesn't overstay its welcome. Highly recommend!
its disappointingly short but its such a creative puzzle game
Very unusual gameplay and the puzzles are quite satisfying. It probably won't take you longer than 1.5-2 hours to finish the game but it's better to play in one go anyway, so it definitely works as a game for one quiet evening. I recommend it!
If you enjoyed Mateusz Skutnik's Submachine games, you will love this. It's got the same deliberate pacing and beautifully illustrated world, and they both include some mechanics that require you to think in multiple dimensions. Unlike Submachine, Gorogoa has two puzzles that require a certain speed and dexterity to complete, but they are about as easy and slow as possible, so you don't need to be a nimble keysmasher with a quality controller. The whole game can be played with a mouse or trackpad, and it takes exactly as long as you want to spend on it. There's no rush. Its just an atmospheric, beautiful meandering exploration of a multifaceted world
It is NOT worth 15 bucks. It took me 93 minutes. It was fun but it definitely was gimmicky and tedious at times.
Cool puzzle game. It has nice background ambient music. Puzzles aren't super difficult but that's not the charm of the game. Short but enjoyable.
Gorogoa is pretty.
It is also short, with its few interesting puzzles surrounded by a lot of "click everything to progress".
You just gotta play it if you like puzzle games, atmospheric games, or appreciate a beautiful hand drawn game. I think it's a perfect length, you can play it in one shot (as it should be played) as long as you have about 2 hours free. The puzzles build in difficulty as you are introduced to the mechanics. Playing with the optional "click on frame to ping all the clickable locations in frame" option it can be helpful if you're stuck or are easily thrown off by red herrings. All in all I 100% recommend Gorogoa.
Beautiful puzzle game. Jacob Geller best explains beauty of this game in his video: https://youtu.be/7mcwCD7KZmY I enjoyed solving puzzles and connecting thoughts.
This is a fantastic puzzle game with beautiful artwork and innovative gameplay. The only downside is its short length, but that’s understandable given the genre and art style.
Overall, it’s definitely worth playing.
6/5 amazing
The level of game and art design is mind blowing. Puzzles are amazing and must think creatively to solve. Hope there's another chapter
Great visual puzzle game that used the same themes but did not make it redundant and kept you thinking throughout the whole game.
A beautiful game with interesting puzzles. I only wish it was longer.
I really enjoyed this puzzle game! Beautiful art and music, and a really creative take on this style of game.
Fun puzzle game with neat concept. I accidentally (by default?) had hints turned on in the first two parts which made it trivially easy. After tuning those off, the game was pretty enjoyable, although the game's logic isn't always sensible or predictable.
Game was far too short for the price. The concept is cool, but the length and the achievements, encouraging shorter play time, rubs salt in the wound for paying that price when other games at the same price give more depth and tens of hours of more play time.
Beautiful game with challenging puzzles that are not impossible to figure out. The art, sound, and story made me feel like crying at many parts. Happy this game exists
very fun and interactive game. Was a bit difficult which was nice
Game was Ok. Nice pictures and music. But the game was very short for the price.
I recommend but lower price.
Really beautiful game. It's absorbing, interesting and at times frustrating.
Great game, very immersive and challenging. There are a few times you might get stuck, you just need to refocus and come back. The only bad thing is that it ends too soon, I could have played for hours.
It's a great game. The story is impeccable (despite being presented in a very reserved way), the puzzles are simple and really fun, this game is an example of how to communicate with the player in a discreet and creative way.
Such a lovely game! Pity it was so short, i actually really adored it, the concept was unique and the story was fascinating. I really liked giving life back to his dream even though it ruined his life.
The music and soundtrack was also very fitting. The artstyle was very pretty and fit the emotion that the game was conveying.
Definitely recommend!!
Fascinating? Therapeutic? A piece of art? honestly I don’t know how to describe it, it's nothing like I expected. I saw a clip of the game and thought "It actually looks good but I’m not sure I’ll like it since I don’t usually enjoy puzzles." I was a little hesitant but I’m so glad I gave it a shot. It’s such a great game and I absolutely love it, even though some parts were tricky to solve. 😅
This game.
This game, was singlehandedly the best, most beautiful game I have ever played. And I have played, like, A LOT of games.
The puzzles were so unique, so well-done, and so interesting.
This idea I have never seen before, and it's very, very good.
This is the best game ever. I got it for 5 dollars. Definitely worth it. And made by a single person, and the frames were hand drawn. Beautiful game.
This is just brilliant, if you like puzzles you will love it. It's the right amount of challenging and the story is abstract but not too much and leaves it for you to interpretate. The puzzles mechanic is something new for me and I love it.
Very short and it initially appears to be just a "click as prompted" game but does quickly change into something you actually solve. Very nice to look at and neat to interact with, but with a 1 hour runtime I'd still say it's 3x overpriced. Wait for a $5 sale.
Gorogoa is a beautiful game. Its quite short, I finished in a little under 90 minutes, but the puzzles were just challenging enough to keep me interested but not too hard to hurt the pacing.
It's possible that I'm missing it but part of me wishes there was more of an overarching story. I do still like how the whole game is very atmospheric and follows recurring themes.
really cool concept for a game! i struggled at a few parts but that just makes the solution that much more satisfying
Good puzzle game. Not challenging, beautiful. 7.6
