This is a very fun game where you are stranded on a raft and you must expand and I guess progress, after you make a certain something with three another somethings you can start to get into story then and stuff.
Love the story and puzzles on the islands. Your progress really shows around you on your raft and it's really satisfying to put automatic infrastructure in place when you've finally got all the components. The most fun thing about this game is playing with friends. The grind goes a little faster and it really lends itself to teamwork an abundance of running jokes.
Fun with friends stupid ending and some of the worse puzzles in gaming towards the end but overall a fun 20 hours or so.
this game crashes so much and makes my pc run harder than most games, and im on low graphics besides texture quality so it doesnt look like vomit
Raft is a Fun game that makes you feel a sense of accomplishment after gaining just one extra resource or finding something incredible and while time consuming and difficult the game is rewarding everytime.
Calm and Addictive. 10/10 game gorgeous graphics with hours of fun.
Really fun game loop. Recommend playing this one with friends. So much you can do with that raft, it's amazing!
bought this game when the first story location was released and played a full playthrough every major update and im still not tired of this game.
beautiful graphics, goofy movement and fun progression
i keep coming back to this relaxing but fun game. Highly recommend for solo or with friends. My only complaint is the food meter drains pretty fast. People got the metabolism of the flash but without the speed.
Good game, bad achievements. I like 100%-ing games I like, or at least getting enough achievements that Steam doesn't say "20% completed" after I have finished a game. However, most of this game's 100+ achievements are effectively just asking you to prove you have no life.
Your first time killing some creature makes sense as an achievement, but not your 10th, 50th, or 100th time, that's just the devs being lazy and you suffering as a result. Come up with some actual achievements or just remove the stupid ones :(
I couldn't recommend this game more. Wonderful for multiplayer or singleplayer.
Calming and fun with an added amount of survival based on difficulty setting. Great game to play with friends.
Honestly a very good game. You can easily enjoy this alone or as a group of friends as you build your Raft and enjoy the world. The story could be a bit longer and thats probably the only "complaint" I'll have witht the Game. The Multiplayer is a bit buggy sometimes, like spawning under an island or items being drop nowhere near you but the issues where never big or happened a lot so for the most part you wouldn't even notice.
nevertheless a great game to play with some friend or alone for a while!
Great relaxing game, bunch of updates at a time, but they slowed down.
this game is very fun and great with friends very easy to learn and to play with friends. the game play is simple but fun and there a big story it updates often and just a really creative and great game
im having fun with this game. i have a potato laptop and i can still play with some friends. one friend has 240 hours on raft so safe to say he really likes too.
The first five, maybe six hours of raft are so tense, allowing you progress but forcing you to make choices and constantly threatening your survival. As your raft gets bigger and your abilities progress, that tension fades and you now get to experience a certain wonderment in exploration. I thought this juggling act was really well orchestrated, and is an example of the best the survival genre has to offer.
I have almost 600 hours on this game and have been playing since years. It is an amazing survival game and really provides a sense of mystery in the story. Definitely recommend.
final battle fucking sucks, they lock you in a room with explosives, hyenas and boxes and expect you to figure it out in the middle of all the fucking chaos, the hyenas just keep coming and they dont stop coming and Olof is a disapointment of a villain
its challenging but there are few things i dont like, building is bit difficult do to its snap points, i dont like not controller friendly other than that over all good game to play.
Raft takes a simple concept and turns it into an addictive survival adventure that's hard to put down. Starting out stranded on a tiny raft with nothing but a hook and some floating debris, the game really draws you into a feeling of genuine survival. The visuals may not be extremly overwhelming, but they’re immersive enough.
One thing that makes Raft unique is how it balances exploration and resource management. You’re constantly balancing the need for food, water, and building materials, which keeps you focused but never too stressed. The game world is littered with islands, shipwrecks, and underwater caves, and exploring each location is rewarding with rare resources and treasures. It borrows the core mechanics of survival games, but Raft keeps things fresh by adding its own mechanics, like shark attacks that keep you on edge and push you to upgrade your raft to stay safe.
Building and expanding your raft is incredibly satisfying. You have full freedom to create as you want, whether you’re aiming for a tiny, efficient vessel or a sprawling floating mansion. And unlike some games where building can feel overwhelming, Raft keeps things simple but offers enough options that you can get really creative with your design. It's awesome to watch your raft evolve from a little plank into a full-fledged base, with everything from gardens to advanced navigation tools.
Raft is definitely a game for people who enjoy a challenge but don’t want to be overwhelmed by overly complicated mechanics. The pacing is great for both solo players and those looking to play co-op with friends—especially since teamwork makes everything easier and adds another layer of fun when trying to fend off sharks or exploring tougher islands together.
If I had to point out a downside, it’s that there can be a bit of grind for certain resources, and sometimes the gameplay can feel repetitive, especially in the early stages. But honestly, the game does a good job of introducing new elements and areas just when things start to get a bit too familiar.
Very enjoyable with friends or alone. There's so much variety yet simplicity. After jumping through hoops and challenges you're rewarded and helped along with the story. A nice waste of time you could say.
cool environmental survival game, gameplay loop can be a bit repetitive but the atmosphere is pretty good.
Great! lots of fun would recommend to anyone who enjoys survival exploration. Multiplayer is hilarious my friend and I played it and found lots of ways to make it ridiculous. one of the best survival games out there.
I love this game, been watching Markiplier since he started the series and decided to get it for myself. Love the graphics and it's super fun. I don't usually spend money on games but this was a must for me. I recommend!
Love everything about the game except for it actually having an end! The music is great, sound effects amazing, and gameplay so fun. It's fun solo or with friends. Highly recommend!
It is quite an enjoyable game, very grindy at the beginning, but once you get everything going it's pretty smooth. Story is really good, not a huge fan of the loot death system, but it is a still a game I highly recommend for survival players out therr
great game kinda boring if not with freinds but witht hem its so fun higley suggjest it
More than an hours game play which says a lot. But the ending is way too abrupt with no...... replayability?
It's a fun survival game that really highlights the deserted and lonely feeling that comes with living in an unexplained global disaster like this. The frequency of how often the shark attacks your boat is a little annoying, though.
Raft is a super fun survival game that my bro and I played through together. We finished the story and got 100% completion. The gameplay is simple but addictive – gather resources, craft, and survive.
The co-op is a blast, especially when expanding the raft and exploring islands together. The story’s got a nice mystery, and the overall experience is rewarding. If you like survival games, especially with a friend, Raft is definitely worth checking out!
This is a great game, really good content and enough things to do to have a great time with your friends.
Just had couple of problems.
Firstly, if you have weaker pc and set the graphics setting lower, most of the times you see your raft glitching and levitating, this can lead to pood experience and frustration.
Secondly, if you or your friend has pood internet, the connectivity can lag or bug however it wantes, if you're loading into someone's game, you will probably spawn somewhere completely different (under raft, away from it in water or on completely random islands) i would recommend stoping the raft when someones joining
Thats everything from me, thank you developers for this amazing game :>
Getting tired of Sea of Thieves? Want to just relax by the ocean while building a settlement? Well this is partially possible in Raft if a regular difficulty isn't selected. What I thought was a laid back settlement game turned out to be one where having friends to play with became crucial to progressing. This has a similar Minecraft mixed with a little Planet Crafter build type gameplay to deliver an open world experience floating out on the ocean. In short, fun game but has potential to wear off after a certain amount of hours. Some game mechanics might also drive certain players bonkers.
Raft's premise is the player is immediately dropped into an endless ocean world on a tiny 4x4 plank and plastic floating platform. The only tool that is given is a rope hook that is used to lure floating junk from the ocean. The twist comes in as there is a shark constantly circling the player. Now staying out of the water seems like the obvious idea, but the shark (or Bruce the ________ as I like to call him) will eventually start gnawing at the player's raft by removing chunks of the plastic and wood. As the player's raft is blown (in whatever direction the wind is blowing) new elements appear on the map. Most elements include small to large sized islands and random floating abandoned rafts with potential treasure. Islands generally have metal substances than can be harvested shoreside waters and trees, flowers, and wildlife on land. Some of the wildlife is hostile (such as boars or giant birds) while some will hop away from the player. The gameplay in Raft is simple and straight forward, as for the controls. Basic movements are included, such as crouch, sprint, and jump. There is a research tree that eventually allows the player to become sort of self-sufficient. It will take some time to properly be able to run an entire raft as there are loads of chores. In addition to a shark randomly biting away at the boat, there are seagulls that come by and will often try to steal food. This is where having more than one person is extremely handy, on any difficulty.
The visuals and graphics are similar to Sea of Thieves. Sea of Thieves certainly did it better, but this game absolutely nails dawn and dusk. The colours and the amount of light that comes and goes always makes me stop for a moment, and wish I did something with my life that involved me actually seeing that in real life. Mind you - I'd rather not do it from a raft. The rest of the graphics are okay. The islands have all the required or basic graphics, the animals all have their own respective animations, but what bothers me the most are the shorelines by the islands. The corals look cool and the objects are fine, it all just looks a little cartoon-ey and slightly out of place. Then there's the sudden drops around the islands that don't quite make sense especially when the player relies heavily on acquiring ore in those areas. The design is a little wonky and is difficult early game when it isn't possible to take down or distract the shark. The sounds and music were absolutely well done. Sounds quickly indicate to the player what is happening around the raft. A lot of sounds have been included with proper purpose. The music absolutely creates an awesome mood and can flip the player into gear when necessary. It seems to have been inspired a little by Minecraft, knowing when to deliver a piece of music to alter the mood.
Overall, the game is okay alone, but can be very fun with friends. The game certainly is challenging on normal difficulty and can even be difficult on easy. There is enough replayability depending on whose playing. While building, scavenging, crafting, and even attacking is fun, the loop of sea > island > sea > island > sea can become repetitive. I feel like it seriously depends on who is playing this game with you. I would recommend waiting for a sale even though I bought this one for full price!

8/10 Game ~ For my opinion,
one of best game to playing with friends, and team work for getting fun,
good game for 2 - 8 player,
in game-play there a couple annoying bugs in game, and i find some bags how to duplicate items,
excellent you can showing the creativity in this game, to building a interesting boats,
8/10
good game
~ Recommending ~
I finished this game twice. Once alone which was still fun but kind of lonely. The second time I finished it with my best friend. Had the time of my life as I got to see her reactions to the places and mobs I went through with frustration. Overall it was fun and had a fun story but easy to keep track of if you didn't play too often. Love how gathering materials is based on research so each new find is exciting. Being able to sustain the raft without going to islands is definitely a bonus if you aren't in need of metals and scraps which you still can get from drifting crates. The game keeps resource gathering part balanced. It is just a little repetitive but not boring. I wouldn't play again because I had my fill and finishing twice is really more than enough for this game. I want to thank Velvet the best cook, decorator and shark hunter ever for finishing the game with me.
If you're into stranded then you'll love this. I haven't started the story as of yet but the building mechanics are easy to maneuver. There are different moods for every level of player. I suggest starting out on easy first to get the hang of building and then move on to a harder mood.
best multiplayer game with bad multiplayer issue (my connection is bad asf)
i did enjoy my time playing this game just going through the story while building my own little boat house along with plenty of challenges. the only thing i didnt really like about the game was the sound design just felt a bit rough somehow also it would go from really nice and quiet to super loud during a storm (shark can f**k off though)
Raft : By Triple F
"Raft," developed by Redbeet Interactive, is a unique survival game that places players on a small floating platform in the middle of an expansive ocean. Released in full in 2022 after a lengthy early access period, "Raft" tasks players with managing resources, expanding their vessel, and navigating treacherous waters. With nothing but a hook to retrieve nearby floating debris, the game initially presents a deceptively simple premise that quickly evolves into a complex survival experience. As players gather materials and expand their raft, they encounter new challenges, mysteries, and obstacles, blending exploration with strategic crafting to deliver a captivating survival adventure.
The core mechanic in "Raft" revolves around gathering resources from the ocean, which requires players to hook and reel in everything from planks and plastic to leaves and barrels. The scarcity of resources is immediately felt, as each item plays a crucial role in either maintaining the raft’s integrity or building essential tools and equipment. This resource-gathering loop becomes increasingly engaging as the raft grows and players gain access to advanced crafting stations and blueprints. The limited resources constantly drive players to make tactical decisions about which items to prioritize, adding a layer of strategy that keeps the gameplay fresh and challenging.
One of the most memorable aspects of "Raft" is its progression system. Beginning on a tiny, four-tile raft, players expand their vessel by constructing floors, walls, and even multi-story structures. As they progress, they unlock blueprints for items like water purifiers, cooking stations, and eventually complex machines such as engines and navigational systems. This growth transforms the raft from a simple survival platform into a mobile fortress on the water. This gradual evolution is highly rewarding, allowing players to feel a real sense of accomplishment as their humble raft becomes a formidable vessel capable of sustaining life at sea.
The shark mechanic is another core aspect of "Raft" that adds a constant element of tension. From the very beginning, players are pursued by an aggressive shark that periodically attacks the raft, forcing players to repair damaged sections and keep it at bay. The shark’s presence necessitates the crafting of weapons for self-defense, and players must balance their time between gathering resources and preparing for shark attacks. Over time, players can kill and temporarily deter the shark, though it always returns, keeping players on their toes. This constant threat adds a layer of suspense to the gameplay and ensures that even routine tasks require vigilance.
"Raft" further enhances its survival experience by introducing islands and underwater exploration. As players venture further, they encounter islands that offer rare resources and animal encounters, from seagulls and boars to elusive llamas. Exploring underwater reefs, players collect items like seaweed and ores, which are essential for crafting advanced tools and equipment. However, diving comes with risks, as players need to monitor their oxygen levels and defend against underwater predators. This exploration aspect of "Raft" breaks up the rhythm of resource gathering on the raft, providing a welcome change of pace and a sense of adventure as players uncover new biomes and items.
The game also offers a light story progression, guiding players to abandoned structures, mysterious radio towers, and hidden notes that piece together a narrative about the world’s history and the fate of its inhabitants. These narrative elements are subtle yet effective, adding intrigue and motivation beyond mere survival. With each discovered clue, players gain insight into the larger world around them, making exploration feel purposeful. This storytelling approach is engaging without overwhelming the primary survival mechanics, creating a balance that respects the player's autonomy while offering context for their journey.
Multiplayer support in "Raft" enhances the game’s enjoyment, allowing players to share the survival experience with friends. Teamwork adds a new layer of strategy, as players can divide tasks between resource gathering, raft construction, and shark defense. Multiplayer makes the game particularly engaging, especially when exploring large islands or managing resource shortages. However, "Raft" can also be a rewarding solo experience, as it scales well to accommodate single players without compromising the core challenge. Whether played solo or cooperatively, "Raft" remains a versatile experience with enough depth and variety to keep players invested.
Overall, "Raft" is a standout survival game that balances resource management, exploration, and storytelling in a seamless, engaging way. Its unique setting and constant threats create an atmosphere of suspense and reward, while the progression from a tiny raft to an elaborate ocean vessel is immensely satisfying. Though the game may feel repetitive at times, the introduction of islands, hidden lore, and multiplayer elements add variety that keeps players coming back. For fans of survival games who enjoy crafting, exploration, and a sense of adventure on the open sea, "Raft" offers an innovative and memorable journey that sets it apart in the genre.
This game makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside
EXCEPT for massive shark with a ridiculous vendetta against my person, and my gamer best pal Chopotle, ask him he has some stories to tell
I like ROOFT
not the best game, but i swear my friend makes me play it so much to a point where i might actually like it.
the game is very grindy after you finish the game. the only way i could play this game is to play with friends
(in my opinion)
its funny to play with friends but the game is hella buggy but in a funny way so 7/10
So there we were, two blokes—me and Krezand—drifting aimlessly on a raft, holding onto each other (and our plastic hooks) for dear life. Between dodging Bruce the Shark’s relentless love bites and fending off seagulls trying to sabotage our makeshift paradise, we found ourselves building something far more than a floating catastrophe—we built trust, camaraderie, and the occasional second-story bedroom with a questionable view. 🏡
Then came the engines. Suddenly, Krezand, the beautiful madman, was steering like a captain in a rom-com set on the high seas, while I fueled those engines with all the biofuel our hearts (and potatoes) could muster. 🏎️🍠 And I swear, every time he turned that wheel with confidence, it felt like he was steering us straight into our happily ever after.
By the end, with every shark attack, stormy wave, and accidental fire, it wasn’t just about surviving—it was about surviving together. We laughed, we screamed, and when we hit the final credits, we knew this chaotic journey was the most beautifully zesty love story we could have ever sailed.
10/10 would let him drive our love raft into another city again. ❤️🌊
I loved this game! Its fantastic. I loved going to all of the different locations, different machines, and endless building capabilities. My only thing, I wish it was a little longer since the world nearly feels endless. Once you get to the final destination, you get some good blueprints, but there's no where else to go. Nothing else to progress for and its kinda hard to keep going, no real need for those final blueprints.
Very good, chill survival game. The grind for food early can be challenging, which is a great aspect of the game. Not free of bugs, and multiplayer adds some of those too. All in all, fantastic game and definitely worth trying.
Very fun to play with friends. Great graphics, Great abilities, Great Story. Enjoyed all the game
i like that it survial and it intense and scary but also fun
Raft is an engaging survival game that takes the classic elements of resource management and exploration and places them in a unique, floating setting. Players find themselves stranded in the middle of the ocean, armed with little more than a hook and their wits. The game's premise is simple: gather debris, expand your raft, and survive against the elements and hungry sharks.
Gameplay: 9/10
The core mechanics of Raft are both addictive and satisfying. Players can collect floating debris like wood, plastic, and palm leaves to craft tools, expand their raft, and build various structures. The crafting system is intuitive, allowing players to quickly learn how to create essentials such as water purifiers, fishing rods, and cooking stations. As you progress, you can explore islands for resources, adding another layer of depth to the gameplay.
The multiplayer option enhances the experience, allowing friends to team up and tackle challenges together. Cooperation is key, especially when managing resources and defending against the ever-present shark threat. The thrill of expanding your raft and discovering new islands keeps the gameplay fresh.
Graphics and Sound: 8/10
Raft features charming, low-poly graphics that create a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The ocean's shimmering waves and colorful islands are visually appealing, contributing to a sense of adventure. While the graphics may not be cutting-edge, they fit the game's laid-back style perfectly.
The sound design is effective, with ambient ocean sounds that immerse you in the experience. The occasional growl of a shark adds a layer of tension, reminding you that danger is always nearby.
Challenges and Exploration: 8/10
Raft balances exploration and survival well. Players must manage hunger and thirst while exploring vast oceanic landscapes and islands. The threat of the shark adds a constant sense of urgency, forcing you to be vigilant as you gather resources. The game offers a good mix of challenges, from crafting more advanced equipment to exploring the depths of the ocean.
Final Thoughts: 8.5/10
Raft is an enjoyable and unique survival experience that stands out in the genre. Its combination of resource gathering, crafting, and exploration creates an engaging gameplay loop that can easily consume hours. While there are some minor gameplay quirks and a few bugs that may detract from the experience, the overall fun and creativity make Raft a worthwhile journey on the high seas. Whether playing solo or with friends, it’s a game that invites you to dive into adventure and see how far you can float.
really fun game to play with friends and al so really relaxing late games and early game but story is slightly stressful
Very good game to play with friend because it require many role and other good game I like it
