For those wondering it does have local hot seat for up to 7 players.
Thats one of the best Dots and Boxes Games that You will ever found on Steam, there is Many Maps and You can also play with more than 1 AI or Players at the same Board, which is very nice...
If you go back to the menu after playing single progress, you cannot play single mode again. It's only fade out and the game keeps stopping.
A short 'n' sweet few hours of fun. It is worth it due to the game's super low price tag.

After I finished the main campaign and DLC I felt like I was 'done' with the game which left me satisfied as I think it cost me <$2.

This is the only game I have purchased on steam that I have not been able to play because it is a blank screen.

I exceed the system requirements. I tried everything to get the game to work. I verify integrity of game files. I post on forum and contact support. I uninstalled & reinstalled the game. I verify integrity of game files many times. I wait for blank screen to load for 17 minutes! Still unable to play the game. The game does not work. I have asked for a refund!
This game says it has Steam Cards, but it doesn't. So, if you're buying it for cheap card drops, don't, because it's false advertising.
The game has since removed its "Steam Cards" tag but it still isn't a good enough game for me to turn my frown (thumbs down) upside down (thumbs up).
Multiplayer is dead, the points system is designed make you stop between 27000 and 28000, the game isn't even original, and compared to all the games which would be massively improved by being less boring than 1v1, this game becomes utter nonsense with more than two players since the winner is determined by who goes after the dumbest player.
Got this for less than a dollar and it was still a waste of money.
Wasn't going to even say anything but the designer comes off as desparate, begging for positive reviews in the game itself. You can't tell me what to do, your half-effort game gets the negative review it deserves.
Bought this for 2 friends and me. On my high end system it does not start single player somehow when i click.

This game is an electronic version of the pen and graph paper game "Dots and Boxes". Most people in the US (and probably elsewhere) have played this game as children.
Unfortunately, there are zero twists added to the basic game. It's just that game you play on graph paper with nothing new added to it. There are no original ideas or twists to make the game interesting. The only difference between "levels" is the shape of the game board, so the levels don't get any harder as you progress (the decision procedure gets a little harder but is still terrible, see below).
This game has no AI whatsoever. That would be fine if the decision procedure used to choose the computer's moves made the game challenging, but the procedural choices fail to look more than two moves ahead. Whoever programmed the decision procedure doesn't know how to play this game properly and doesn't know what AI is. It's laughably easy and doesn't get harder as you go. I stuck it out in the hopes it would get more challenging, but it's just boring and slow because the game boards are unnecessarily large.
Pros: it's kind of pretty?
Cons: everything else.
This isn't worth ten cents, let alone two dollars. I'm very disappointed I purchased it. It might be useful for small children playing against each other, though.
Cool theme of that napkin game dots, the one you play with your parents or siblings while waiting for dinner at a restraunt. Simple, easy, fun. Worth the buck.
My child loves tic-tac-tow and I do not. This was a nice substitute.

gameplay
first couple of times you lose, then you work out some strategy, and start winning level by level, and you feel so smart - brilliant! and this is the very point where game is becoming addictive :) who does not want to be smart? who does not like to win? though i cannot say its very easy,
and there is a difficulty setting that can be changed in game settings
Perhaps the most interesting thing about the game and a correct strategy is to give to AI or to opponent less cells than you take, to control giving cells better with more attention then taking cells - and this is works perfectly at least while playing on normal difficulty with AI.

i can hardly find any cons in these game - everything is done carefully and properly - first i didn't like the dot that shows who placed a wall, but after some time playing i just realized that after wall is placed it does not matter whose this wall is, and a game beautifully lightens the last opponent move - so - this is great and very usable and playable.

Very fun game to just pass the time, reminded me of the 15 minutes every school day where in tutorial id play the exact same game ona piece of paper with a friend. The AI could be improved on making them more of a challenge.
Thats a nice and interesting puzzle game with unusual mechanics.
The AI is a bit dull, but the multiplayer totally makes up for it!

Quite an unusual project. At first glance, a simple logical game, but it really requires some thinking!
First, we place the walls on the playing field. When there is no room for the walls, then we grab the cells of the playing field by surrounding these cells on four sides. Who will capture more cells - won.
At this moment the most interesting begins: you need to think and calculate your moves. You can force the enemy to do wrong
move and win in a lost situation.
The game has a single campaign, as well as the ability to play with several players on one computer and multiplayer.
I would like to note excellent graphics and pleasant music, which create their own special atmosphere of the game.
Definitely recommend! I advise you to play with your friends in multiplayer!
cool. simple, but with style. good timekiller. I like it. next time will try play with friends
Poorly programmed. The offline multiplayer option works but single player is bugged, will let me click on the option to begin the campaign but doesn't present me with any option to actually load into the game.
Although I was able to open the online multiplayer section of the game, no one was on so unfortunately I was unable to test that portion of it.
Truly a shame, the offline multiplayer version worked well and I was looking forward to the game.
