100% worth 2$. The best game from aeria canada to ever exist on PC (the battle blockyverse studio and inter pixel arts logos were their older company names, aeria canada is their current one since 2018.), i wish they still did more like this!
Really fun RPG with references to Far Cry, Half Life, Zelda, Attack on Titan, Duke Nukem, so many others. You definitely grow in abilities and weaponry throughout the game, a whole lot of game for the price.
Def. worth more than the full price, don't go in with high expectations but it's a nice lil something, made with love. Back when EVERY indie game was mine-craft, this was swept under the rug as the same. It's not though, it's an FPS SET IN "Mine-craft". It's made me laugh a few times due to NPC design.
PLEASE PUT IN A WAY TO MAKE THE UI SMALLER ITS SO BIG.
I can tell some serious work went into this game, why is it a dollar? They could pull off 4.99 USD.
To sum up this game in one entire game in one paragraph.
Fun in short bursts and can be a little challenging.
Unique weapon design and opponents.
May need a touch of optimization.

Good gameplay, good progression system, lots of fun and creative weapons, good level design, almost everything is awesome, especially considering this is only a dollar.
My only complaints is the final boss is honestly very lackluster and the difficulty is lacking for me personally. It's not "easy" my any means and it does gives a good challenge. Buuuut I'm a person who loves getting my ass slammed in and yearn for uber difficult challenges so this is probably just a me problem.

I played this game quite some time ago. It was quite fun and very enjoyable,
What can I say. I had fun from begining to end. Each island was unique and vastly different from those that went before and challenged me to consider new tactics. This isn't Dark Souls, in fact there isn't anything dark about this game. It's light and colorful and frequently comical. It was certainly worth whatever I paid for it. I'll be playing it again.

Good game but I feel a save point at the start of those swinging blades and blocks.
Getting tired of repeating over and over again before those traps.
It might be one of those games where life is to short and I will have to stop playing it which will be a shame
because I was loving it :(
I had quite the fun with this game. It has a lot of levels, and a lot of enemy variation
I did liked the weapon crafting system, it was clean, simple, and very useful throughout the game
It even has that extra-bonus of surviving during the night, with another round of enemies.
I recommend this game, if you like FPS, and even better, if you like blocky style games, you will probably enjoy it!
The game is very interesting because you can make many weapons and get many materials. You need to get used to the randomness of the fights because you will all kinds of enemies.
Awesome!! I wasn't expecting this much for the price, it was a nice surprise, I loved the style and game mechanics, simple yet addictive, recommendable for all ages!
THIS IS NOT A MINECRAFT!
The music on this game really nice, looping through the level fine when engaging battles against enemies AIs. The gameplay needs improvement on the controls sometimes the input is either delay or not readable at all from the controller.
- My biggest concern the actual camera, I got heavy dizziness while playing this game, perhaps the FOV is a bit weird and the shaders applied with distrortion of RGB dissplacement doesn't help much either.
- UI also needs some improvement sometimes is hard to read what sort of questline should I be taking, and seen so many pop ups at the screen becomes hard at times. Game Feel was ok some interesting and funny moments can be found in this game.
- Storyline is ok perhaps can be more engaging.
- Visuals defenitly great stuff a lot of good palettes and contrast with the worlds.
- AI it feels repetitive at times but challenging enough to have a blast while playing the game.
If you are looking for a good, yet indie out of the box sandbox game but with a surprising gameplay experience, perhaps this is your game, it lacks in some aspects of the game but the overall experience is very enjoyable. Surprisingly addictive too!
Ok let's get to the point, this is NOT a Minecraft clone, copy or rip off, it would be like saying Call of Duty is a copy of Battlefield, both of them are "war" games but the gameplay is very different, or that Scotch is a copy of Vodka, both of them get you drunk, but they taste and are served in a different way. I've never been a Minecraft fan, for me is boring, but I find this game very funny and crazy, the world it's just engaging. I like the music, the environment, the night/day cycle and the variety of bosses, levels, weapons, animals and challenges, none of them feels the same. If you want to have FUN, kill a lot of enemies, survive, craft weapons and do a lot of crazy stuff, BUY IT!. Sure it has some bugs but nothing a couple of patches can't fix.
This game is a lot fun. it has some of the greatest things of the survival games, such as Ark but the gameplay and controls for Block Survival are very unique. I think this game has a lot of potential to be one of the greatest survival experiences ever.
Very fun game and for the price it's totally worth it.
Not too easy and not too hard, just right and the crafting and adventuring/exploring is fun, also the combat is satisfying.
Plus the out of combat music is chill and remids me of some of the levels from alice madness returns, which i love.
Some minor annoying things are the op scyhte traps, but with armor/speed potion they are manageable, or if you can find a way around them, which makes them kinda fun.
Also some nice additions to the game would be GUI scaling and FOV slider.
All in all, surprisingly fun game to waste time on and i see myself playing this for a long while, keep up the great work devs!
I'm 20 hours in to this game and I am enjoying every minute. Sometimes it challenging and other times it's funny, but it has always been fun. The MCesque look of the game takes nothing away from the story (done in a comic book panel style) or the gameplay.
Too many people equate any Voxel based game with just being a MC clone and this is nothing of the sort.
The diverse enviroments and enemies are great and the randomness of the loot system makes it a unique playthrough for each person.
The Dev team has been very active in the Forums and appear to care about their game very much.
Worth the purchase at full price.

EDIT: Came back to this game tonight and finished the first playthrough! I still can't recommend this game enough! It's a blast and I will be playing through it again! Seriously well done and highly addictive! Congratulations and I hope you all make more games!
I was going to wait a bit to do this but I probably spent 4-5 hours today playing this little gem.
It isn't perfect by any means but it is perfectly fun as long as you go in with the understanding that it may look like a Minecraft-esque clone, it most certainly isn't one!
It has a basic story, revealing in comic book style panels between levels. It has some rudimentary crafting in that you craft weapons, armor, and various usable items. - Turrets, Health Packs, and other things along those lines.
You are basically an adventurer, you have a food bar and a health bar and the food does not need to be cooked or crafted and it basically heals you when you eat. - Not sure why the food meter is there, eating to heal seems like it would be enough - unless there will be added survival elements later on that make it more important. I usually have to eat something by the time the hunger meter is even close to being drained.
The difficulty is not bad, frequent checkpoints and some pretty clever platforming make it fair even though I feel like the scythes and other traps are a bit overpowered. HINT: Craft armor and keep it applied - you make it and use it as a consumable.
The graphics are blocky and fun, I have a minor complaint that some levels are themed quite well (The Norse Level rocks!) and in other areas you get a random mix of pirates, norsemen, call of duty-esque troops, and monsters. Still, I can look past that and enjoy bashing and blasting them for their tasty little gold bits!
The sound is ok, the light sword kind of sounds like a chainsaw but it doesn't take anything away from the fun.
The crafting is very easy and basic. You find recipes and gather materials by punching things in world, opening chests, and killing enemies. HINT: You may want to run around and farm areas a bit because a few levels in there is a boss battle that can really seem impossible if you aren't well prepared.
You do level up and it gives you bonus stats to health, speed, and ammo but it seems like you lose them if you die which will happen often to the traps and some of the bosses. - Asked the devs about this and they are responsive so I figure I will know if this is a bug or not within the next day or so. EDIT: By the time I wrote this a dev had responded - confirmed as possible bug. Thanks for the fast reply!!!
There is a bug they are aware of where your hotbar randomly reshuffles and removes things when you die but the Devs know about it and have it in the works to be fixed.
The platforming elements are actually fairly well done though jumping and going up ramps currently feels a bit off. Also climbing out of the water can sometimes take a few tries. Overall though fighting, shooting, and platforming are functional and the minor gripes aside, I kept playing it most of the afternoon. Being an older gamer I don't mind the blocky graphics as long as the gameplay is fairly solid and fun. IMO, it is.
I can't think of anything else I wanted to mention right now but I may edit this if any come to mind.
To sum it up, it's not quite open world as you have a very clear start and endpoint to levels but how you get from point A to point B is up to you. There are ways around some of the traps if you're clever and obvservant. The crafting is easy, the materials a bit hard to get sometimes but not impossible. You have a little "upgrade" stand and store that you can find in most levels - maybe all but I haven't found them yet - You can pay gold to buy supplies, recipes, or upgrade your currently selected weapon and apply a random bonus to it. So yeah, there is a grind but it's fun. I intentionally left out what happens at night, lol. Enjoy!
Very bottom line, it's a fun FPS with light crafting and RPG elements and nice level design with lots of hidden places and secrets. I definitely recommend it!
PS: These devs are responsive and seem pretty friendly - if a bit stuck on the heavy damage of the traps - (I say that with a smile, no malice at all, the game has tough but fair moments, so I need to get a bit better!)
EDIT #2 - As noted in another review the gold does disappear very fast and sometimes your gold does NOT update after upgrading which can be a minor annoyance but the devs are working on it! - I would HIGHLY suggest reporting bugs in the discussions area. The devs do appear to be active and listening.
Sorry for my impoliteness, but this game needs more improvement indeed, below are issues so far:
1. Gold get disappeared too quicky, if you kill a mob in long range and you won't able to get the gold.
2. Dmg / gold showing incorrectly. eg. Weapon DMG upgraded but showing the old dmg. Gold didn't refresh after transaction.
edit: Recommend this game since developers will listen and work hard for debugging. The game is fun indeed. The slow motion during shooting is a cool impact.
