Like warriors cats
emo cat accepted my proposal and now we have 3 kittens and he calls me starling. 10/10
Very fun game for cat lovers
I've never been a huge "gamer" as I unfortunately get motion sick playing lol, but this game was the first time I truly understood being glued to your screen for hours straight. It is the most perfect little game with the cutest graphics. My favorite game ever!
its an amazing game
cats
good game fits many play stiles
cat world domination
I really love this game, sometimes it may get a little boring but I always come back to it. Out of all my animal games this one has the most hours played :) I would highly recommend If you love cats or just a little life/adventure story game.
A wonderful game that is pleasant and relaxing. Oh, and dissatisfaction brought this cat back at least 11 times.
It's just such a fun game with such great music and such great atmosphere and such fun gameplay though getting all achievements is a pain. Otherwise it's really good though!
good.
grew up on this. absolutely love it. everyone who wants to try it should, very good.
i cant find a catfish
This game is the definition of a good warrior cats like game that is yet unique. The game is in the middle. It's not bad at all, but not the best either. The art, the music and the story is fine but the gameplay is where it lost me. It gets repetitive pretty quickly even when new stuff comes along. After 10 hourse you start to feel like forcing yourself to continue. The fighting and the mines become harder and harder to do (unless you went into the easy difficulty) and it shows. For achivement hunters especially, getting the "complete 10 years" achivements is practically 8 hourse of the same repeating "go to sleep and wake up again" action.
It's a nice game, but definetly better for the sale price and not the original one.
Cattailsis a nice simulation game where you play as a cat. It's kinda like Stardew Valley but with some cats and the ambiant is relaxing. It's a cute game and I recommend it!!! 🤍🐈🤍
I love this game :)
This game is perfect for those who want a calming experience and vibe worthy game! I genuinely enjoyed every bit of the game, from the mines, to the fights, to exploring, to collecting all the achievements and completing the game 100% I LOVED IT! I would say if you're hunting the achievements such as catching the bugs it can get a bit tedious, The island was rather difficult, but once i got the hang of it i loved it! I like how the game isn't about grinding out things to get results, and that its genuinely enjoyable and fun, and leaves a warm fuzzy feeling afterwards! I recommend this game, I've played it and YOU SHOULD TOO <3
This adorable wild cat sim packs an awful lot into a little game. You get to hunt and fight for territory as a feral cat; you can decorate your den with both acquired official decorations, and also by dropping whatever prey or plants or shells you think are pretty on the floor. You can find a mate and have kittens, which grow into companions for you. Eventually you can start your own colony. You can even go mining! There's puzzles to solve as well. It's awesome. Highly recommend. My only complaint is the battle mechanics can be a little rough, but not too terribly for the gameplay.
it's like stardew valley and warrior clan cats had a beautiful baby!
>^•-•^<
A very cozy cat simulation/survival game. You can fight for your colony's territory, hunt and forage for food, befriend/marry other cats, start a cat family, fill your den with prey and forage so you won't have to go hungry in the winter, explore the mines... If you like cats and all that sounds good to you, you'll love this game.
Also, you can re-customize your cat's appearance at any time, which I always like to see. As for marriage and kittens, the player cat's gender is ambiguous, so as long as there's a heart, you can date them. The only downside of this game is that it can be pretty short; seasons are only ten days long. Personally I didn't mind it, but there are harder difficulties if you find things to be too easy.
its very relaxing and i enjoy it
I have a lot more time on Nintendo, I would like to say, this is one of the greatest games ever made.
Cat
its a cute game and mechanics are OK, but the game is boooring. the main quest is just a repetitive cycle of collecting things, there is barely ANY story whatsoever IMO, and there is barely any personality to the characters IMO, its more like an early release. it just feels like it offers less then what it costs.
Just finished my first in game year - I love the relaxed pace of the game. You don't feel rushed to complete anything. And offcourse, having the added bonus of playing as a cute cat makes it worth while
Its like if stardew valley met warrior cats 9/10 bc sprinting has a cool down and swimming can be letal early game lol
it is a super cute game I love it
Absolutely amazing!
when I was about 9 or 10 I was introduced to the creator's previous Warrior Cats fangame, Untold Tales, and absolutely LOVEDD that game it hit every check for me! when I saw that a sequel was out, the same childish joy ignited within me and playing it had much of the same effect, which is Really Hard to do right with game sequels as many people are probably aware lmao.
this game is a love letter to its previous fangame, its inspiration (Warrior Cats), and life sim games in general and all done surprisingly well!! I'm really glad I was able to experience it and while I haven't played the creators' new game (Wildwood), I don't have any doubt that it's just as well made!
kity
kinda like how the game has colonies which cats rule, nice feature, the game's good, like it and would recommend it
If your dream game is "Stardew Valley if it was Warrior Cats," this is probably the game for you. (Or, nowadays, the sequel, but you won't get the experience of multiple cat factions (iirc) and you'll miss some of the characters' backstory and context. Wildwood Story kind of starts out similarly to how the clans in Warriors had to move to the lake, but you skip the whole journey and rebuild as a single colony (i.e. "clan").) You won't get much farming, though; the cats' lifestyle is more into hunter-gatherer stuff. However, there is an unlock that gives you a taste of direct agriculture, and animal fans can unlock cosmetic pets to accompany your travels!
Hunting can be difficult at first, but you'll get used to it. Combat similarly becomes easier over time, but that's less tied to adjusting to controls and the system than to character/ability progression and stockpiling healing items to tank it out when need be. (That isn't to say hunting doesn't get improvements with leveling, but the base process stays the same; remembering to shift/unshift and when animals are liable to detect you is mostly a skill you need to develop yourself.) Social dynamics are a pretty typical "talk frequently, gift frequently"-type loop, but the characters are charming. Some are more interesting than others, of course, but it's inevitable any given player will end up playing favorites one way or another (especially when you can't pursue polyamorous relationships). Storyline is engaging enough, and occasionally even tragic, but fairly generic. Try not to think about how catching rare prey for the Guardian missions to "restore balance" is probably wreaking ecological havoc, or how the colonies are in constant war (you can gain territory peacefully; a fully-pacifist run would be a tad difficult, though, and there are non-cat enemies you need to fight for some of the quests).
If you've played the dev's previous work- a fangame called "Warrior Cats: Untold Tales"- a lot of this game will feel familiar. It's been generally streamlined, and has more things to do, but there's a few things left behind in the transfer. For example, possible spouses are premade rather than randomized; while this is good for their writing and character portraits, it does nix some of the emergent storytelling of its predecessor. Furthermore, if you want to go back to domestic life, return is impossible; if you want to play as an ~edgy villain faction~, you'll have to make one for yourself. Overall cosmetic/playstyle customization is much easier to do, though, and you have a much larger pool of spouses to choose from in general; you also get to see kittens inherit a combination of their parents' traits, which is really fun! These cats also don't really seem to know about human gender systems, and kitten-compatability is unlimited; gone are male/female indicators and restrictions. It's great!
As a closing note, here's a pro-tip: If you want to keep up difficulty as you get deeper into the game, grinding the increasingly-difficult and resource-managerial mine floors is a solid plan. If you really like this part, you're gonna want to level up your swimming skill. (Even if you never step foot in the mines, it's a pretty useful skill to invest in; max swimming makes environmental navigation a breeze!)
I like cats and I like games (can you tell?), but this game is personally not for me. I really wanted to like this game since it's basically playing as a cat, but I kept getting lost and it felt like I couldn't progress as much as I'd wanted to from the start. Prey is hard to catch, and one of the first "easy" mandatory missions was to capture a certain number of prey; I could only catch about three by the time the timer ran out. It's also hard to tell when you've ran into a rival colony; when I see some other cat, I get ambushed! They're overly strong. I feel like I can't go any further than just the first day or two (is there more than just the little bit given?). It's a rather boring game for me. Like I said, I really wish I enjoyed it, but I can't seem to get the appeal. Sorry.
cute combat and fun- great for new gamers or if youre in your cutesy game era
AMAZING GAME!
I Love that you can make a custom Domain, and i love that you can 'Date' then 'Marry' and thenn 'Have Kittens'
ITS SO CUTE AND FUN!! If you like stardew valley and cats, then play this :3
Another underrated life sim. This years old game managed to capture my attention more than some newer farming sims. You can forage, mine, hunt, fight, grow your own herbs, date and get married, have kittens, establish your own cat town...etc. There are a surprising amount of things to do. I really like the flexible exp system and the simple yet fun progression where you can choose to get better at a skill by upgrading it. There is a wide variety of preys, and a good chunk of herbs. However, mining is a bit removed from the rest of the game and the end-game quarry is such a drain on my sanity.
very cozy game, and you can marry other cats :) very easy to avoid fights
If you were ever a fan of the Warriors books as a kid, this offers a small glimpse into that type of fantasy world. It blends survival elements with the charm of Stardew Valley and has a nice cozy atmosphere.
i like it
I'm not much of a pixel game player, but this game stole my heart. Upon completing the main quest, you get to create your very own colony and design its layout! The overall game is visually pleasing and easy to control. The atmosphere is the right amount of fun mixed with relaxation. There are multiple save spots so you can have different cats. I 100% recommend you at least try the game if you are unsure! After I set up my colony the way I like, I plan on buying Cattails: Wildwood Story as well!
Its a nice indi game. A bit simple, but you choose how much you wanna put in to it. You don't have to grind too badly to get through the main story, such as it is, but 100% completion grinds like a windmill.
Super fun!
.
I really want to recommend this game, but I can't bring myself to. It feels like a first draft.
The overall vibe of the game is a combination of the Warrior Cats books and Stardew Valley, two things I love, but it never really comes together. The characters felt flat, and I had no interest in interacting with them. I played through the main story, where you collect objects to bring the Forest Guardian back. It's very reminiscent of Stardew's Community Center quest, but it didn't feel like I was impacting the world in any way. The forest didn't seem to suffer when the Guardian was gone, and it didn't become lush and full of life after its return. The only difference was that I had the option to start my own clan after.
I think this game could be great, but I can't recommend it as-is.
FRIGGTIN ADORABLE
I've always been a big fan of Warrior Cats so this game really gave me an opportunity to dive into that.
My friend saw this game and thought it looked cute so I told her to check how many hours I had played on it cause I knew I had a lot (Me thinking I only had 400) When she sees that I have 700+ hours she was shocked, and to be honest I was too, I forgot how long I played cause I was so invested.
