Sorry, nope.
It's almost unplayable.
I couldn't play full screen because half the screen was black.
So I played in a small window and could barely see any of it......meh
Amazing game but some images were not clear
Grim Tales 2: The Legacy
☆ヾ(*´・∀・)ノRecommend buying during salesヾ(・∀・`*)ノ☆
I didn't have any problem with the system like any other and also found the images quite
(つ✧ω✧)つBEAUTIFUL even though it is old.
For an old game I would say that the quality of the game was of outstanding value
ヾ( ̄ー ̄(≧ω≦*)ゝ and have no problem compare to the old games I have played where there was no〜〜(/ ̄▽)/ MAP so I was grateful that this one have.
Story:
The story continues from where the 1st game ended, with the MC being invited to her sister's son christening.
[h1Review of the story:[/h1]
I don't know if it was just me but I find it disturbing how the story started with MC finding the castle so isolated and her sister in the middle of a trouble again. ( ̄_ ̄)・・・There were things that disturbed me. First, I am pretty sure that when someone invite people on a christening it is a pretty big event and many preparation is needed. You need to serve food that is why for me it was disturbing to find the sister alone in a huge castle nearing the christening event. Next, I was disappointed that there was no thank you from the brother-in-law. Lastly, I was hoping that there would be a christening event in the end but the story ended after literally saving MC's sister which didn't add up to how the whole event started. I was hoping for more interaction even if it is just an image with no dialogues.
The extra chapter was good but didn't add much to the story as a whole. It would have been better if the story was about how the wolf curse started or about how the cure was found this way it would add more depths to the game title LEGACY. If I were to give an example I would say to be somewhat like the Enigmatis franchise where the bonus chapter were about the victims that add more depths to the story.
Gameplay:
I played the game in casual mode because there was no achievement in steam.
I would have wanted a trading card because the art was not bad (I like the library).
The consoles were fine but hints in casual mode are just somewhat a little useful. There is not much interaction so there were many times I felt bored and felt sleepy (probably just me because I played the game after work which was probably not a good idea because I fell asleep).
I find the instruction lacking to some mini games and skip some frustrating mini-games (hard mini games) that requires you to do task with repetition. How things are used and can't be use are always frustrating for me in games but that is game logic so I just live with it.
The most admirable thing in the consoles for me is the MAPヾ(☆▽☆) Being able to travel from one place to another with one click is definitely a huge positive bonus for me (If only we could travel like this it would save me so much trouble commuting). I played the game in casual mode so the map shows places where action is needed but not necessarily in the order where you need something to do at that place. This is where I get confused when I am stuck on where to go next. So the active mark in the map is only a hint that is a little useful.
My verdict
(҂◡̀_◡́)ᕤThe game is somewhat lacking but not that bad. If you think about how old the game was made I think this was an outstanding game.
(─‿‿─)Although I really wished that maybe they could have shown more that would support the title as being LEGACY.
I recommend the game to people who love to play HOP games.
This game is great! The mini games are easy and hard. The hidden objects can be difficult. In short the game is challenging but still fun.
I would recommend this game to anyone. 4 stars.
incredibly cursed
Picture above fireplace IS REALLY DUMB but other than that this game is fun trash!!!!!!! :)
Just kind of annoying for an HOG. You can't lock the inventory, nonsensical inventory use at times, clues giving away plot points before you get to the plot points ... just not a lot of TLC in this one. I didn't even bother with the bonus play.
The game is intriguing and the graphics are gorgeous. The hint is very helpful in the hidden object scenes and with the what to do next. The voice-overs sounds natural and professional. I loved atmosphere which is overwhelming.
Pros:
+cutscenes
+ gameplay
+ map
+ music
+ storyline
Great HOPs and puzzles
Definitely a little old, but well-written, decent art, and good puzzles.
The Issue with Lag
Like it's predecessor this game has issues. In this case it's obviously kind of sloppy coding that lies behind the issue of a laggy and pretty enervating game. If you too encounter lag after buying this game, don't mind to try to look for issues on your PC's side, or even in the settings of Steam.
Not the steam overlay, or any other issue that is based on either computer or platform is the problem, it's something within the game. Often lag is produced by a constant "mouseover" function-call or something similiar, often a request within a request, leading to a request...
Lag, combined with the price - not a good combination.
Not recommended!
Just a headache
it just doesn't quite work sadly, I got it as a bundle and just doing it to get to the end... Well if it would let me ;/
Do not get.
Outstanding value.
This is an "old-fashioned" hidden object game, meaning that there are many hidden object scenes, many puzzles (some of which are really tough), and care has obviously gone into creating all the scenes.
The strategy guide is very well done, or you can use the Skip or Hint buttons if you're stuck.
Nice long game with lots and lots to do. Nice art. The music doesn't play throughout, but the atmospherics do.
(Note that my shown running times are false, since I leave games on all the time.)
If you enjoy more challenging HOGs with lots of puzzles and a decent story, this is a very good game.
Cons: No achievements, no trading cards; No automatic widescreen
Overall: 10/10 as an older-style game (it's nice to do different puzzles, and I've missed the word-based HO scenes)
You have been invited to attend your nephew’s christening. When you get close to Luisa’s new castle home, something causes your car to have an accident (the cutscene for that didn’t play for me). As you try to enter the castle, you discover a large number of wolves about. And then there are some clues that some of them might even be werewolves…
Also, why is there a wolf cub in the crib?
Seems like you have another mystery to solve…
The HO scenes are decent, minigames challenging, and the plot interesting. Suspect this title was originally made around 2011 (there are dates in one of the early HO scenes). Suggest getting the bundle.
Really annoyed, can't p[ay game, black screen, are thinking of asking for money back. Any ideas?
