I wish the game was still being updated and wasn't abandoned. I've spent so much time in this game and would definitely recommend it to others even though there won't be anymore updates.
This is just a typical VR batting practice simulator with outdated graphics from 2017 that has extremely limited content and repetitive gameplay. All you can do is stand at the plate and swing, which can get repetitive and dull. Sure you can adjust the ball size and a few other variables, but you cannot change the bat nor are there any graphic options. The pitcher is also 2D for some reason. I would recommend Totally Baseball VR over this experience.
It doesn't look like much but in this game I can put the baseball size to 1.0, track it and hit it. And the batted ball physics feel right most of the time. It feels like the ball goes where you hit it. And hitting the ball is sufficiently challenging.
Too bad this is the least visually appealing baseball game I've seen.
I wish somebody would just give me a batting cage that works. So far this is the closest I've seen.
For starters, this game helped me hit faster pitches irl and pitches that have a lot of rpm's like a curveball or a slider. It also helped my swing flatten out and I hit a lot of doubles and triples these last few games. Finally, Big Hit VR Baseball made an impact in my friends that made them hit better as well and are team has become unbeatable!
The batting simulation is actually pretty good!
Granted, it doesn't hold a candle to WIN Reality. But if you don't have a Quest 2, or if you don't want to spend the $30 per month on Win Reality, this is the best alternative I've found.

Content wise it's literally a batting practice simulator. But honestly it has enough features to keep you coming back and honestly is insanely addictive.
You got different baseball sizes, different pitches that can be set to different speeds, and an option to juice the balls on how far they go when you hit them.

It has the best mechanics out of all VR baseball games I've played. It's a neat game to jump into every now and then. I can't remember how much I paid for it, but its worth it for me.
Not bad, decent, if you try to actually swing you'll lose tracking, but its fun to just hit absolute nukes when you're bored.

One of the best baseball batting sims on VR. When you put the pitches on HoF difficulty, it really feels like you are facing a major league pitcher. It does suck there isn't an actual 9 inning game option but you can use the batting practice and play games that way, just by keeping track in your head. Maybe one day we will get a full VR baseball sim. It's a pretty great feeling when you turn on a ball and watch it soar 500ft. Definitely one of the most satisfactory feelings I've ever had in VR. If you enjoy baseball or sports vr games in general, I recommend this one.
This game is everything I could've asked for in a vr baseball game. The hitting engine and mechanics are very realistic, responsive, and accurate. Anyone looking for a baseball vr game, this game is your best option. The price is very reasonable, and I have gotten my moneys worth for sure (over 500 hours recorded) and strongly recommend this game to anyone.

Because my review will be pretty lengthy, I will include my verdict right here so you can read and go or read my entire review.
VERDICT: Great game and a great way to get easy to access BP before a game and probably the best way to really mentally prepare yourself for a game. If you don't really play, then it's a great way to experience baseball at the plate and really hone your skills. BUT, I think $25 is just way too much this game is asking for. I understand that developers (Especially for VR games) spend months and years making these games, but $25 for a game with literally the sole purpose of batting is just too much to ask for. It is definitely a game you should pay for, just not $25. Drop this in your wishlist and wait for the devs to put this on sale. Not worth $25.
REVIEW: I have just finished my final year of High School Baseball. In preparation for college and having summer vacation, I have not had the chance of getting BP anywhere, and have become quite cage-sick. So I invested in this application. My local cage isnt too cheap, so having an alright option handy was very good. Tried it out and was quite impressed. It really yells indie and new so it lacks a lot of UI features and ease-of-use features like orientation and controls or instruction. But batting wise and playing-the-game-wise is pretty simple, you pull the trigger, then shmack that sucker. This game also has some great customization features to make hitting easier or harder. But in the end of the day, $25 for an indie start-up with a great idea is just too much. I advise you wait until the developers lower the price or choose to put it on sale. As of today, this game is not worth $25. At most: $10-15.

Thinkin I'm about the only one playing this game... Never tried to hit a live pitch when I started playing, now I can make contact with about 80% of regulation size fastballs in the 80-90mph range. Still working on incorporating breaking balls into my at-bats, but uh...

2 words: very realistiic. Especially when you turn the baseball size down to 1.0 (real size) and turn the pitching to average or starter. Really awesome way to take free BP at home. Very addictive. Make sure to supersample if you make the baseball normal size, cause it is small! Very rewarding to hit home runs as it is not easy, but for those who don't want the realistic experience, you can make the ball huge and juice it :)
Great little VR batting simulator.
After many hours on this game with homerun derby tournaments vs friends, and many more challenging myself with a all HOF pitcher (hall of fame) (very difficult by the way but I like a challenge) I have found this to be by far my favorite sports game even over rec room and many others. It feels very consistent and smooth and although it can be a bit FRUSTRATING AT TIMES if you just step back and take a deep breath you're back in homer land. Don't get me wrong this game is great and is one of the more fun vr experiences especially for a high school b-ball player like myself, but... it would be nice to have some sort of progression (some different bat skins or ball coverings etc.) or some new pitches like maybe a impossible to hit knuckle ball or a two-seam or something along those lines.
SHORT SUMMARY: This is a good game for anyone who is passionate about baseball and wants to see how it feels to be in a major league batters box. (btw don't buy pitch-hit vr baseball it is boring)
Big Hit VR Baseball is generally one of the big things I wanted in a VR baseball experience: Batting practice. Homerun derby and homerun smashing all the way around is real fun. First day I got it I probably swung at 800 or so pitches and my arm won't be feeling too great tomorrow.
PROS:
-Hitting is pretty smooth
-6 different pitches, 5 different difficulty (speeds) each, and the ability to spot pitches means fantastic variety
-Can change ball size for a little help or general fun
-Can change how hard the ball is hit and flies for REAL fun... Get to see balls soar over buildings and hit 800ft on a line
-Simple controls
CONS:
-Price: $25 is not really reasonable for the content provided in this game. I paid becuase I was willing to give it a chance so I could give feedback in HOPES that the developers add new stuff or change a couple of the bugs I found
-Bug 1: So people have been saying the ability to refresh a pitch and reload the pitcher bugs out on them, some say they have to reset for it to fix... I encountered this issue and my findings is that it glitches like that if you press the bottom button to open up the Steam/Vive menu (opening the in game menu to change pitch selections is fine, but the other way around will cause the pitch to fail to be reloaded when you don't make contact). I don't know if this is the only reason it happens, but I started to notice the pattern a couple hours in, then I was able to properly load all my pitches when I didn't look at the Steam menu during a 450 pitch marathon.
-Bug 2: The achievement 'Measuring Tape' in which you hit a ball 800 feet failed to register for me even after hitting 4 balls over 800 feet. I don't see any extra stipulations and I did it with HOF fastball, juice 5, ball x1 size.
-Can wear ya out pretty fast: Swinging a lot can hurt if you don't stop when you should, but otherwise it really can't hold someone's attention that doesn't like just swinging a bat. It'd be nice to get to do a full 9 inning game, or some other things like leaderboards for homerun derby's and homerun distances per pitch.
EDIT:
One thing I forgot to mention; it'd be nice if you could recalibrate and reposition the homeplate positioning in the play area. For me it had the homeplate almost in the wall of my boundary, it wasn't much of an issue but it'd be nice to not have to worry about swinging your remote into a dresser or a wall by moving or recalibrating a few inches back or so.
EDIT 2:
Another thing I just found out about the achievements... They fail to register and award you the achievements for hitting 10 homeruns in homerun derby. Yes I made sure the pitcher was Ace, ball was no greater than x4, and it was juice 3. Just another bug that I hope can be fixed.
I'd recommend this game. If you get the ball size down to 1.0x and juice level of 1, it's a pretty cool batting simulator. It is very difficult at first but after a while you will be rewarded with a long ball that will feel well earned.
My only critique, and this is more erogomic than having to do with the game, is the minimal weight of the Vive controller and how that effects the realism of a swing. In a year, when the vive trackers are more ubiquitous, I'm sure we will have 3rd party weighed bat handle grips that will take care of the problem, but until then this poses a hole in the gameplay.
I've put in about five hours into the game and am happy to report that this is the best VR baseball hitting simulator to date! The inclusion of 6 different pitches adds an extra element that makes batting practice that much more realistic/enjoyable. Don't believe me? Set the pitcher to lefty, HOF, with nothing but fastball and slider (hello Aroldis Chapman).
The HR derby mode is great and allows for customization. There are definitely a few kinks to be worked out (sometimes the settings don't carry over when you reset a game), but overall this is a great product if you're looking for a baseball simulator.
I would love a "story mode" where you go up against pre-programmed pitchers with different pitch sets and your job is to score a certain number of runs off of them. Have them move pitches around and intentionally throw balls and strikes.
If you don't love baseball and going to a batting cage, then this game may not be for you. But if that's your cup of tea, you'll love this simulator!
Update - 5/15/2017
The game as it currently stands appears to be broken/very glitchy. When a pitch is thrown, the game doesn't register that it's been thrown and you're forced to reset the game in order to have another pitch thrown. This is very frustrating as it's been happening more times than not right now. It seems like it's happening when a ball is thrown and the system doesn't register that the pitch passed through the plate. Please work on a fix for this!
New Review:
In much faster turnaround then expected, the bugs listed below were fixed or greatly improved. While there is still some room for improvment (like additional game modes) I can now feel like I just suck instead of the game not working correctly. Still a high price point for how much content there is, but it keeps feeling better every patch.
Old review:
I have been looking for a good baseball game for VR but this just wont do. I think tracking on the swings is a bit messed up, but even if it isnt and I just suck there are a good number of game breaking bugs. Not the least of which is that after a few pitches the ball will start to stand still where it should have connected with your bat, allowing you to swing again, almost guaranteeing a homerun.
The ball also likes to get stuck in the 'catchers' mitt with no hitbox but the pitcher will refuse to throw a new ball. Aside from that, it also doesnt like ending the game after a round of homerun derby is over.
The good parts about this game are the customizable options to make the game match your skill level. But the core mechanics are broken so I cant reccommend this title.
For $20+ I took a huge gamble and struck out.
