This is one of the clunkiest games I have ever played in my life. It is actually unbelievable how poorly this game was developed. If you land on a jump, the game can't register that you're trying to do a trick off of it. The games been out for how many years and you cant fix that?
Best skiing game since whatever the last good skiing game was, needs a sequel ASAP.
Fantastic game, were it not for the occasional availability of the servers.
I absolutely love steep its great and much better then riders republic which is utter garbage
this is one of the best boarding games / ski,sled, soar,glide,fly whatev you wanna do. i bought it on xbox one and loved it so i bought it again on pc just to see how much more beautiful the game was. Everything i wanted and then some, but its ubisoft and you can no longer connect to the servers. i tried my xbox steep copy and servers seem to be up...for now at least.. id give it 10/10 but cant because you literally can no longer access any of your dlc, other mountain maps. just bare minimum free play....alone....on a mountain.......
Edit: servers work now, guess it was just ubisoft connect update. i just uninstalled and reinstalled.
Constant errors when launching, the game servers never work and it does not let me play!
im not sure why they put this game up on sale considering their servers are down and i am stuck in an endless loop of going back to the main menu / going in game and getting an error msg.
Honestly a very shitty of them if this was just a cash grab idea
I like how realistic it is, and the snow graphics is just a cherry on top
Good game gets boring but still worth it (got it on sale) fun to js mess around in the park wit friends or listen to music and glide down the mountain listening to music at 2am
Bought to play with a friend.
Started off a new game, but Ubisoft servers were down so I was put into an endless error/loading screen loop which kept me from playing multiplayer AND singleplayer.
Started the game 24 hours later to try again and servers were either still down or down again, so I enjoyed another endless loading/error screen loop.
Looked more fun than it was. Thanks, Ubisoft.
not playable under Linux... why because of the graphics emulation? no! problems with audio or controller input? no no no...! what do you think... yes, that's right, Ubisoft and their cancer called crack the shit out of my brain ubisoft monkey launcher bullshit, with online requirement, and data crawlers, diagnostic services and connection problems with the shit bricks called Ubisoft servers.
We remember, no rage without a solution! The solution:

Was actually pretty fun... until you find out that you can't complete any challenges in offline mode!!! What happens when ubisoft stops maintaining the servers? Well, have fun with your 30.00$ snowboarding game with nothing to do other than just enjoy the slopes. It's a bit frustrating, as it isn't as though the core challenges change, just the temporary ones.
It has amazing graphics and even better game-play. Defedently worth the money.
The game really gets the feeling of snowboarding down good. As an avid snowboarder, I can say that this game feels like I am snowboarding. Pretty relaxing game to just listen to music and hit the slopes.
This game is for who likes adrenaline sports game i personally think for some people this game will bore them but with some music at 12 pm hits hard so i think you should give it a try
It is stunningly beautiful game. You can just relax and explore the mountains. If you want some more action(frustration), you can also do the challenges around the mountains or play multiplayer. It is amazing game and despite being released 8 years ago in 2016 still looks wonderful. There might some issues here and there, but for casual player like me, they did not affect the experience at all. Definitely great game, also i recommend to buy on sale to get it for almost nothing. See ya on the mountain!

i love this game have for years looks great tricks are nice but its annoying when my guy spazzes out like a retard and has a seizure
even though the game is pretty old (lets be honest), it still has that unique vibe and idea and definitely worth to buy. but okay, this is pretty obvious, the game is good and etc., but wth i dont have any other languages except russian and chinese? we all know ubisoft are strange, but on what the world they got to delete other langueges???

Tony Hawk Pro Skater>Skate 3 | SSX Tricky>Steep
I've played a LOT of extreme sport games/sims, and Steep is truly one of a kind.
A learning curve to get going but once your brain locks in to Steep's unique rhythm of managing speed, timing jumps/tricks, and lining up smooth landings it's buttery smooth and has no problem hooking me into a flow state.
And if technical challenges and time trials aren't your vibe I'd still recommend the game on sale. This game has been as cheap as $3 dawg anyone with a pulse could enjoy it for that price.
Turn the HUD off and load up some music and enjoy the ride.
i am a divorcepilled 52 year old pick me baddie on the sigma grindset plowing my way through the Alaskan mountains. im the proud mama bear of a 413 month old pair of Skis I named Anna and Betty and two beautiful ski poles. i throw my used parachutes on the snow to help fill the mountains with microplastics. when the map doesn't have enough space for me, instead of waiting for the sleepy developers to add more like a loser, i make my own. an independent woman like me relies on NOBODY!
Honestly might not seem like I have a lot of hours but I usually play on my xbox I bought it on my pc for more fps and its one of my favourite games for sure. Level 89 right now and I always find something fun to do if you havn't played this game yet I highly recommend it.

Hard to enjoy for longer than a few minutes at a time.
Really struggled getting used to the controls and felt like the price wasnt worth the product I received. With that said, when it came out I really tried enjoying it and spent 20h grinding some PBs and PRs at specific tracks I liked.
One of the best games I played. If you are into mountain sports and want a game to play at home that captures a similar feeling of freedom and exploration, look no further.
Beautiful, fun and addictive. What else do you expect from this ?

Great game for chill nights or if u want a low effort game to play. Sometimes it does get boring and it is confusing on figuring out how to progress sometimes. Overall really fun but has few flaws
The only good thing about the game is the snow physics. It has the same problems as The crew 2, not surprising since it's the same publisher. The problem being that they do a lot of things extremely mediocre instead of one thing well. Seriously who cares about flying through the air with some stupid jetpack glider?
This is great game with awesome graphics and different types of modes. You can complete different tasks, competitions or just freely ride the mountains on your chosen equipment, such as snowboard, ski, wingsuit e.t.c
Controls are good, easy to understand but hard to master especially when completing red missions which require very precise turns on high speeds. Game is similar in some way to skating games like Tony Hawk and is good fun!
I bought this game on sale for £5 and enjoying it a lot.
There's a terrible lens flare effect that occurs, contacted Ubi with absolutely no help because "game support stopped". Do NOT buy.

I absolutely love this game. It's incredibly meditative and peaceful. I love skiing and snowboarding in real life in the winter, in the mountains or where there is snow and I miss it in the warm periods of my life when there is no snow and it is terribly hot all around
Better than riders republic and defo worth it bought it on multiple platforms as sadly no cross-platform but honestly i don't regret a thing this is the good side of ubisoft we desperately need more of
Really fun game to play with or without friends, but nothing beats running some sick lines with other people.
