better then need for speed unbound
+ relaxed racing minigame
+ all achievments work
+ for Singleplayer or Multiplayer
I picked this up on sale, but it turned out to be a rather lackluster experience. The capped speed felt too slow, and the tracks were incredibly repetitive, almost identical with each other. The race was so boring that I nearly fell asleep. On the bright side, it did provide a decent amount of achievements tho.
Wow this takes me back to my childhood from the graphic style
feels like playing Revolt on the sega dreamcast, Just missing weapons and boosts
this is a simple game with the added fun.
i would recommend this game.
6/10
Honestly fun to play when your bored, the npc cars are not the best but it’s still fun to play with it, I would recommend and it’s also very cheap.
Cheap, simple, minimalist, quirky, fun little time-waster. This is my impression of Barro, the arcade racing game. Reminds of and makes want to play Re-Volt from 1999, because the screeching of the tires on the curves reminded me of it. Fun times! Achievement printer that you can 100% in less than two hours.
the game is just to basic and repetitive, maybe just not my type
Silly Cars, Silly Fun, Silly Achievements
Barro is as basic as it gets—a toy-car racer that’s good for a quick laugh and not much else. You’ll get an hour or two hours of entertainment (I'm being generous), mostly farming its 109 achievements, which is clearly the main draw. They spam you nonstop—some for winning on certain tracks or tweaking weather, but most just pop up like confetti for no reason. Tracks are a mixed bag: the twisty ones with jumps are a blast, especially in first-person mode for that trippy vibe, but the long straights? Yawn.
It’s barebones—only 3 AI opponents max (a friend reckons more racers would’ve spiced it up), no boost anymore (RIP left shift), and I couldn’t drop below 3 laps, though my buddy could. Weird. Early on, it crashed at the Unity screen, but the dev fixed it fast after forum concerns—shoutout there. For 44p in a sale, it’s a quick completion or a few fun multiplayer laps. Don’t expect depth.
Playtime: ~2 hours (at a push)
if it's on sale for $0.49, it's not bad and it's even pretty decent for what it is. However $5 feels like a waste for what you can otherwise get in comparison from the store.
good fun game but the online is dead which is sad to see a cool game dead
7/10
TL:DR: charging about 5 USD for an unity store asset with little to no changes?!
long story: Barro is a car game.
That's about it, really, sure there is a few modes like a time trial mode or racing against CPUs (max 3), but considering some reviews say this is basically an asset flip, I couldn't agree more.
Also, this game's control mapping says you could boost with the L. Shift button, but it seems that's non-functional too. ALSO Also, when you first boot up the game without checking the 'Launch without launcher' option, it sends you to a 'game launcher' with a button that basically allows you to get achievements from this game without any effort. Yep, this is just an achievement farm!
In conclusion, it's not a bad game with horrid controls, unappealing graphics, or ear-bleeding music, it's basically just a game that sits in your collection once you got basically everything from it.
10/10 game! Peak. Worth EVERY penny. I love how "complex" the driving is, really makes you feel like your driving a real car, Forza got nothing on this.
fun game
Not a bad game for what I paid ($0.49). Some suggestions to make it better:
Make the cars go faster, then you actually will have to slow down to make it around curves which requires more racing skill. As it is now I can basically full throttle the whole course without worry.
Consider adding boosts the players can use strategically
this game is a masterpiece. i am begging you to release the menu music somewhere
Good handling and challenging opponents. However, there were too many free achievements and respawning should be quicker.
Here's what you do with this game:
Step 1) Buy it on sale for like 50 cents or whatever, and gift a bunch of copies to your friends.
Step 2) Get them drunk, and start taunting them like "I am going MLG at this game, it's the next big thing, you can't beat me."
Step 3) They will play the game for the first time, and say something like "This game sucks and is stupid easy, psh!"
Step 4) Say "Well if it's so easy then let's make things interesting." Bet them hard money on the next race.
Step 5) Absolutely rinse them (Profit!)
Hard to complain over 64 cents but goddamn this is ass
Don't ever barrage my steam with achievements again
Very good game, i enjoyed it playing for like 20 mins, now I will never play it again probably.
But very fun with friends

The other Barro games ussually only have new maps and sometimes cars. There are a few exceptions to this.
JAG SBARRO!!!!
"A Slow and Unpolished Experience"
Game Name: Barro
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟☆☆☆☆☆ (5/10)
My Experience: 🏞️
I dove into Barro expecting an engaging adventure, but I quickly found the experience to be underwhelming. The game’s atmosphere has a certain charm, but it’s weighed down by slow pacing and rough mechanics. Despite its intriguing premise, I struggled to get into the flow of the game, and it took a while to feel motivated to continue.
Gameplay: 🛠️
The gameplay in Barro revolves around exploration and puzzle-solving, but it often feels clunky and disconnected. The puzzles, while creative, are sometimes too vague or unintuitive, leading to frustration rather than satisfaction. Movement feels slow, and the controls aren’t as responsive as they could be. This makes the game feel like it’s dragging at times, making it harder to stay engaged for long stretches.
Conclusion: 🌑
While Barro has some potential, it doesn’t fully capitalize on it. The game’s atmosphere and ideas are good, but the unpolished mechanics and lack of excitement prevent it from being a truly enjoyable experience. It’s a title that may appeal to some, but overall it feels like it needs a lot of refinement to become something worth recommending.
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟☆☆☆☆☆ (5/10)
There isn’t much content, so it might get boring after a while. But if you like arcade style racing and just want something quick to play, it’s worth a try.
Pros:
✔ Easy to pick up
✔ Clean and simple graphics
✔ Good for short play sessions
✔ Worth it on sale
Cons:
✘ Slippery controls
✘ Not much variety
Rating: 6.5/10 – Fun for a little while, but not much depth.

If there were no other games (racing or otherwise), you might be tempted to play this. But it's really no fun at all. There's no handling to speak of, no jeopardy. Just foot to the floor and steer. Astonishingly bad.
If you're suffering with insomnia, play it!

Car 10/10
This game changed the way i look at life.
The game is based off of a real story, which makes it even better.
The game makes you feel like life is a little road around and around.
The only time you fail, is when you fall off track.
But you can restart anytime, which is realistic.
This game is implifying that you can always start over in life and still succeed.
10/10.
If you’re looking for something completely ridiculous, the Barro series is worth a shot. Yes, the games are a bit rubbish - but they’re fun rubbish. With silly racecourses, simple graphics, and seemingly unintended over-the-top chaos, it’s the kind of game that doesn’t take itself seriously, or does it? For half a dollar, it’s hard to complain, especially since it made me laugh out loud more than once.
I’ve also tried Barro F and Barro GT. Barro F is a little less wacky, though it still features tracks with deadly drops that will have your car exploding and then placing you back on the course again. Repeatedly, so it’s not exactly tame. If you want something closer to realism (and I use that word loosely), Barro GT is your best bet. Its tracks don’t feel like they were designed to kill you, which is as close to “realistic” as this series gets.
The games are basic, both in graphics and gameplay, but we know what they are: cheap, silly fun. The humor comes from the absurdity of it all. It’s not about polished mechanics or deep gameplay, it’s about having a laugh, and for the price, it delivers on that.
I started collecting games on Steam as a hobby and plan to publish my own game someday. Exploring titles like this helps me understand what kind of games people might enjoy at different price points. If you’ve got a sense of humour and don’t mind a little chaos, I’d recommend giving Barro a try. Just don’t expect anything more than pure, unpolished silliness, while not going full out introducing cartoon characters that eat you or giant traps. Silliness with a sense that it was meant to be sensible 20 years ago, maybe. Perhaps that was why it really made me laugh.
i did all achievement in 1 hour. good.
the game is fun and really chip: i picked it up for 50 europe cents.

Cool game for your money you can buy at discounts
It's fun to play for 20 minutes. There are 19 very easy maps. The handling is great. The cars are very slow like they're supposed to. You can tell they put a lot of effort into this. Don't spend more than $0.01 on this.
(ENGLISH + SPANISH)
I have quite a few things to say about the game Barro. First of all, I was surprised at how it's always on sale, with a 90% or 95% discount, practically being given away. Honestly, I don’t understand why they never made it free, because at those prices, it’s clear they just want everyone to own it. But that’s not the point. What caught my attention from the start was how such a cheap game could spark so much curiosity.
Now, about the game itself, I have to say it’s literally foolproof. And I don’t mean that in a derogatory way, but because it’s so simple and easy that anyone can platinum it without breaking a sweat. For starters, half of the achievements are handed to you as soon as you start, and all that’s left is to complete all the races. Even on the highest difficulty, the AI poses no real challenge. I’m convinced that even a little kid could finish it without any problems.
Despite its simplicity, the game has a special charm. It’s so easy that it ends up being relaxing. In fact, something I found very curious is that the sound of the engine at full throttle felt oddly soothing. It’s clear that the sound is super basic, but there’s something hypnotic about it that even made me feel sleepy at some point. I don’t know if that says much about the game, but it’s a detail I found interesting.
I completed all 19 tracks in one go, even though the achievements only require you to finish up to the tenth, which is also a bit odd. But since I was already playing, I went all the way to the end. If you’re not a fan of racing games because you find them too hard or feel like you’re not skilled enough, this game is perfect for you. It’s so straightforward that there’s no way to get frustrated, and you end up enjoying it for its sheer simplicity.
Another thing I’d like to mention about Barro is that the tracks don’t have much variety. They’re quite similar in design and difficulty, which takes away some of the fun if you’re looking for something more dynamic. As for the vehicles, there’s not much to highlight either: you only have four types of cars available, and the differences between them are just skins rather than performance. In other words, there’s no customization or significant changes in gameplay, which makes everything feel pretty basic.
That said, in addition to the standard racing mode, the game includes a time trial mode and a local multiplayer mode. However, to be honest, I haven’t had the chance to try the multiplayer with someone else yet. I’ll probably test it out at some point, but it got me thinking about how interesting it would be if this game had an online multiplayer mode. The possibility of competing against more players instead of just four would add a lot to the experience. Although realistically, I doubt that will ever be implemented, it’s something many of us would appreciate.
Do I recommend it? Yes, mainly because I think it’s important to support independent developers. It’s a humble game, but it delivers on what it promises. Plus, for the price, you don’t have much to lose. So yes, go ahead, give it a try, and play it at your leisure!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
funny game but is so eazy , you need to make levels a litle bit harder
It's not a bad game, but if it wasn't on sale I probably wouldn't have bought it.
Cheap achievement spamming game. Not fun.
