The game in itself is awesome, but it crashes constantly to the point of sometimes you're not even able to move past the main menu.
I can't even play the game. It just crashes when I try to go into the game.
I enjoyed playing this game back when I was a kid, but I can't recommend it because I am unable to get past the menu screen. I tried to google some fixes, but none of my attempts worked. :(
When I press the play button, I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error. This is the only steam game that has given me this error.

Hoggy 2 is based on a simple mechanic - whenever you jump, you stick to the ceiling! Sort of like VVVVVV, but with one big change - you can't fall of platforms. Stack this atop various enemies that each do their own thing, the Makermall, which lets you make and share your own levels and power ups, and you've got a pretty cool game! The game is also free on mobile, but it includes ads. Both this game on PC and the AdBGone for the mobile version cost the same, so it's really up to you as to how you get the game. The game also includes the original 40 levels from the original iOS Hoggy in addition to the 220 (!!) that this game has.

As of the current update, the game doesn't function, we are not able to play it.
Pressing the [PLAY] button on the main menu crashes the game.
Pressing the playtest button in the editor crashes the game.
This makes playing the main campaign or making levels not possible unless you mod the game.
I will update this review when Raptisoft fixes the game to be playable.

This game is amazing, you play as a little creature called hoggy, where instead of jumping, you switch gravity, but only for yourself, there are over 200 levels with tons of puzzle elements, and not to mention that there is a level creator, so you can make your own levels and playing more levels . And each one is really fun. I definitely recommend this game
I love this game. Just like the first one, it's a hard game and at the same time it's fun + The levels created by other players are awesome!
Yeah, I'll admit, sometimes it's a bit too hard and I get mad at the game, but the feeling you get after you beat a hard level... I love it!
It's a 10/10 from me! :D
Highly intelligent, very fun game from my favorite arcade game developer,
8/10 fun when playing levels that focus on being solved
0/10 to 2/10 when playing levels that try to be action levels
Overall 6/10, but would recommend because mostly well done.
To explain:
-around 220 levels
-gather keys in them to unlock access to further areas and rarely stars to do the same
-a little story around the game which is nice
-mechanics are based on eating stuff to transform the character, causing changed functionalities and jumping (sticks to top / bottom of walls) with environment and enemies also contributing to the mechanics
-the game autosaves once a level is entered / completed and when you exit the game
Issues:
-switching fullscreen and windowed after some time of playing crashes the game as well as alt-tabbing after some time of playing
The good:
Levels that are fun to solve by focussing on their "figure it out" part instead of stressing the player.
R-button for reloading the level or the most recent checkpoint works fast and well whenever needed.
Nice animations and design.
The bad:
Levels that try to put pressure on the player with tight timings, sudden things appearing, manipulations of other kinds that cause disadvantages on the user's side (camera not showing the other part of the level until almost entering it / vision manipulation / very low time to react), levels that require precise, almost pixel-accurate movement to not die, often causing a frustration loop of being stuck in repetitive, annoying tasks of such kind and often also lacking a save point where it matters. Thankfully such levels are only a few but they are superiorly annoying and drag the game down as the boss fights are of such kind.
Mixed feeling on that one in terms of recommending it. It's mostly good to very good but the bad parts drag it down.
One thing should've been explained: What "secrets" are and how they work because they aren't actually "secrets" like hidden things. It's more that such "?"-marked levels, if solved correctly, enable the player to finish them while still being transformed, allowing to use the transformed bonus outside the level, in the world. This way access to furthr areas can be unlocked.
Room for improvement:
1) The game would be much better if it had a button that, while pressed, would increase game speed by a modificator. The blocks doing that for enemy movement only aren't always there where needed.
2) Sometimes I'd also like a grid displayed to know when falling like a whole screen of distance whether or not I'll hit the spot I want to hit and whenever I'm already touching the next grid, eventually touching a bomb block when jumping then.
3) 3 rows of usable quicksaves would also be nice instead of checkpoint-like saves as those can't be re-used, just swapped and most often aren't there when and where needed the most.
4) An interact button would've been a better choice when there are signs, screens, info blocks and even jars instead of often using that accidently and unintended just by passing by.
5) I bought this game for it's "figure it out" part, not for having a jump'n run game. There are other games more dedicated to this that are actually fun that way. This one is not. It's just a frustration loop with it's bad, action-like levels, where the player is forced to do perfectly x times in a row before being allowed to save and progress or just progress. It's also not okay to force situations that will always 100% kill the player if not having the knowledge of the level and situation in advance.
6) For boss fights: Stop the game while anyone talks so that there's time to read ! Also let the player use the interact button or some other non-accidently pressed button to scroll through the dialogue or skip it.
Hint: There's a gate with a ?-icon in the underground area early on that, if trying to enter asks whether or not it should open the Hoggy1 levels in your browser. Decline. Otherwise hundreds of tabs may flood your browser (don't know why they did it that way instead of a single downloadable file with level selection) and due to the mentioned fullscreen / windowed mode / alt-tab crash issue after some time of playing your game might also crash.
