Could not even run the game.
For an abandoned game forever stuck in beta, it’s OK. All six coasters feel beta, even the house and pirate ship coasters feel unfinished, like better graphics or more surprises were coming. I kept expecting giant people in the home, for example, alas, no.
This main problem with this game is that it misses a lot of chances it sets up for itself. Like I expected a kraken attack on the pirate ship, or cannons, or pirates. Nope. There were no giant people in the house setting and the city started strong with a vertical climb and planes, then nothing.
I like that the game tried to be original, and there were fun moments like the stairs in the house and underwater sections with the pirate ship, but if we are honest almost all these settings have been done before and with more polish. The city coasters, for example can’t stand up to more finished coasters complete with flaming wrecks and zombie invasions. I’d have rather seen one fantastic coaster than two good coasters and four meh ones.
And that’s a shame because what this game does get right is fantastic. I enjoyed the balls on the stairs in the house and the animals underwater, plus the vertical climb in the city game me serious vertigo, all great stuff. It just never got the love it needed to become a serious coaster pack.
I’m barely recommending it because the good parts are worth seeing, though I do feel it is overpriced. Honestly if it is abandonware it is worth 99 cents at most.
i love it. any plan on more coater idea?
This would have been a negative review IF not for the fact that I played the best two coasters last. The first one that I enjoyed was the new underwater one that he apparently recently released as an update. The water on the visor effects when you emerge from water are really cool. I also felt like it was a more exciting coaster than most in this collection. I also loved seeing the sea creatures as you pass by them on the coaster.
The second and probably my favorite coaster is the minature one where you travel through a house that's either really giant, or is normal sized and you're really tiny. The scale is amazing and is the most interesting in terms of theming, things to look, etc.
My suggestion to improve in the future is go back to the drawing board on the Theme park, Mountain and Mine tracks....It's better to have quality over quantity and if those three were up to the quality of the two I mentioned, that would be way better than adding a bunch of coasters that aren't up to snuff.
Conclusion 6/10
The two coasters I mentioned make me reasonably satisfied with the purchase, but it still needs time in the oven to wholeheartedly reccommended.
i dont even know where to start but this game is really just bad.. the graphics are (nicely said) lousy and the rollercoasters are no fun.
the fairground one is not that bad as it is quite a classic coaster but the others are horrible. expecially the underground one in the mine, there you can clearly see that this game got thrown together as fast as possible with no love at all. the tracks of the mine coaster run trough rocks and walls and all kind of objects and at some points theres not even enough space so it could fit trough.
the turns are rough and edgy and the speeds vary from "falling asleep"-slow to "cant see anything anymore"-fast.
with something like unity you could probably create a "game" like that in a few hours, if even..
im now using steam for over 12yrs and collected quite some good and very bad games.. but for thisone im actually thinking about getting a refund for the very first time.
NOT WORTH THE PRICE
I would compare this so called "game" to a free app on an iPhone made for those crappy vr boxes. There are 4 rollercoasters and I was only able to enjoy the fairground one. The rest are trash. The mine and mountains rollercoaster both sent me falling through the map after not making a jump, something I never wanted to experience in virtual reality. The house rollercoaster gave me motion sickness for the second time in my 5 months of playing a vive. (the first was a motion tracking issue, not the game's fault.) The rollercoasters are also very bad design, there arn't any gliding, fun coasters, just ones where you go so fast you cant even comprehend the turns, which just makes it unbelivable and completely ruins the immersion surronding the VIVE's amazing tehchnology
Do yourself a favor and go buy another game with that $5, like tacoface, tiny wheels or rec room. all of which are great games, cheaper than this load of crap
This game gave me motion sickness with only playing it for 5 or 6 minutes. In my 2 months of having the HTC Vive this is the first time I got motion sickness from it. I cant lie the concept is cool but I cant play it no more. I can't refund it though because when I tried to shut it down it only closed out the window but it still apeared running on the steam library.
For the price it is worth it, needs work, but it's early. Two of the coasters are realy Jerky. The fair one and toy one are nice. You would spend 5$ for fast food. Its a work in progress, but nice.
It would be a great game if not so jerky. I have never had a problem with motion sickness until I played this through all of the tracks. Never even had an issue on the real coasters or when I was out fishing in the ocean. This is pretty jerky to get to me. I had to quit and settle down my stomach.
All in all not a great game and not a terrible one, just somewhere in between.
I like the idea of hands. The game definately has pontential but I agree with above post, it does need some work and the speed feels a little janky in places. The fact that the coaster track in places seems to be suspended in air without any ground pillars adds to the motion sickness a bit. All in all I do believe it is worth the $5 price tag as long as the developers continue support. I do love me a good old VR coaster ride. Keep it up :)
