great game, play normal, it's a great story telling game, always a blast playing wolfenstein .

A very good FPS

From a pure gameplay perspective, The New Colossus is great! The combat is fast and visceral. Movement and fast improvisation is highly rewarded, especially on higher difficulties. There is a moderately sized arsenal with some very satisfying weapons. There is also some new equipment and abilities that shake up how the game is played. There are some standout set pieces and a lot of impressive locations.

Biggest letdown is the story, it is a bit all over the place. There are many plot threads that come and go and a bit too many wacky characters that do not contribute to the main story. And all of a sudden, the story ends with a lot of unresolved plot lines, making the whole thing seem rushed and unfinished. There are some optional side missions during the later half of the game that seem to be put there to hold leftover content.

But overall, it is well worth it just for the excellent FPS-gameplay, even if it has some issues with the story an structure.

Killing Nazis is fun. The story is not as good as New Order but the gunplay is impeccable. Have fun with it.

To say the writers have dropped the ball with this game would be an understatement. It would be a kindness to simply say that in the face of the atrocities they have committed against the characters and world of this game and franchise overall.

This game, obviously, deals with Nazis and their heinous acts and what have you, but what really is heinous here is the writing and dialogue. It starts off good but then... it dips down to levels where I cannot recommend this game just on the merit of the writing alone. It is that bad.

Blazko is near unrecognizable. What have they done to the man is just sad. Fergus is reduced to a love interest of another NPC and that's it.

The whole game builds up to something that it never reaches, incredibly dissatisfying and bad ending. Like, what was all that build up for?

The entire game stinks of lecturing and "I'm holier-than-thou". A major character is decimated, and I get it, it's war and the cost of war is blood. But then, she is replaced by "Sister grace" who "knows it all" and "Can do no wrong". The quality of story-telling has plummeted so hard that it's impossible to believe that those are the same people who made the Wolfenstein the Old Blood



Even though the game is more polished and runs better than the previous ones, that's merely due to tech improving over time and it's only natural that the newest game would look better and be more polished than the past ones.

I very strongly don't recommend this game. Even if the combat is fun, what's the point of it all if every cut-scene is cringe? if the whole settings don't feel right and you are, the player, constantly being berated?

Everyone's character has been tampered with and borderline ruined. Good thing Max can only say two words so they couldn't really also mess him up.

This game is very fun and we can easily play for hours without realizing it.

Better than New Order in any aspect. Rare occasion, when game looks just like or even better than on screenshots

The game has a great story filled with humor that hits just right. The characters and wild moments keep you hooked, and the gunplay feels great. But man, it can get seriously frustrating when you’re stuck wandering around with no clue where to go, totally kills the momentum and is quite frustrating at times. Plus, enemies spawning right next to you out of nowhere is a bit odd. Still, despite the annoyances, it’s a fun, but short ride that’s absolutely worth diving into if the game gets on sale again.

A worthy sucessor to last game. I liked the story a lot, although it jumps the shark way too much and copies the previous one. Have to say the gameplay didn't improve a lot, with stealth being somehow worse and your health draining wayy to fast in open combat. The side stuff also doesn't feel particularly engaging. Still, pretty fun, do recommend.

Compelling story, visually while the game is 8 years old, still looks great. Good practice for what is to come =p

Since the Witcher 3, I have not played a video game that truly earned its M for mature rating according to my standards. Wolfenstein II The New Colossus does not hold back, and Bethesda has proved to the world that talented minds. and imaginations, can craft something truly beautiful.

Wolfenstein II drops the N bomb, in the first hour at that, in the same way that Django Unchained does. This may be a video game, but this game is truly a period piece, and a work of art. (This is what I think the Mafia series was trying to do, but never truly accomplished. I hate the Mafia games, I think they are rip offs of Grand Theft Auto.) This installment in the Wolfenstein series is a piece of gold, and by no means has Bethesda copied Call of Duty.

This game is not for the faint of heart, and will turn stomachs. It is a movie inside of a video game, and a damn scary one. The game-play must have gotten my heart beat up to 100 bpm. This is a FAST PACED First Person Shooter, and no matter how I go about things I manage to die several times before advancing, and I have been playing shooters since I was a wee lad. Please give this game a shot, it's worth the full price purchase and then some.

Fantastic so far, very emotional but balanced with just enough comedy to get you through it. All of the serious scenes are ruined however as I cannot get over the fact Terror-Billy sounds exactly like General Warren R. Monger from the hit franchise Monsters vs Aliens.

i really dont know how i feel about this game i really like the other 2 before this but man this game feels like 50% cut scenes and 50% game play and that doesn't help that i beat this game in 7 hours i mean don't get me wrong i love this series i just left disappointed. its like a 6.5/10 for me

Gratuitous and ridiculous. Accomplishes telling a pretty great story in a very silly universe.
A good mix of stealth and action (especially when playing on highest difficulty and five bullets will kill you dead).
Slightly boring weapons (pretty much just variants of hitscan), slightly boring enemies (pretty much just different size humanoids, with the occasional dog).
If you just want a run'n'gun shooter, go for Doom. If you prefer switching between stealth and action, this might be your cup of tea.

It's a great sequel. I'd say even a perfect follow up, I will always look at New order and Colossus as one big narration, both fit together perfectly gameplay and story wise. One thing that really amazes me in both of thoes game is art direction, it's bold, big, iconic, terrifying and for the lack of better word - metal as f!ck. Yeah great stuff all around, could have even been a bit longer tho! and why are there no Boss enemies in this one?!

I loved this game! It has an amazing story, great gunplay, cool characters, and great levels. Only thing I wish is that it was longer and more post game content other than collectable hunting and Ubercommander killing.

OMG what a game i loved it the gameplay with those intense moments is just pure adrenaline rush. The story all i can say is i loved it and the graphics was great too i realy liked the lighting in the game. I really loved that they provided the recap/summary of the new order. The is a perfect package 8/10.

this game is fuckin great. My kinda graphics, I hate Nazis, I sure love slaughtering them, this game is so chaotic, can be very hard at times, story is amazing, Irene is a GREAT villain, however some of the levels in this game pissed me off lol, but overall great game.

Good game but a lot of bugs!! Like legit a lot... frequent crashes etc... Apart from that pretty good game.. Getting all the perks can be a grind but the story, as continued from previous versions, makes up for it... The interface is pretty dope too! Fun game.
PS: The perk system has changed from previous versions in the sense that now there are 5 levels (repetitions) to achieve the full extent of the perk available!

The game is a competent shooter, but too many areas need to be repeated to finish optional objectives and the story is inferior to the first game. It has shining moments like piloting a mech through a concentration camp annihilating nazis, but then repetitiveness and step down from the first game ruin the overall experience.

Always a good time when you're killin' Nazis! Game itself is fun with a few solid additions since the first one, but keeps the same over-the-top action pace. Had a couple issues with a memory leak, but nothing too gnarly where I couldn't get all the way through the campaign.

I'm sure the game itself is good but it currently unplayable if you have multiple monitors on Windows 11.

The game just won't lock your mouse cursor in the game window. So you frequently tab out to the desktop by accident, rendering the game unplayable. Tried Windowed, Fullscreen Windows and Exclusive Fullscreen and none of them worked. Disabling the Windows Game Bar and other overlays didn't help, either.

great graphics but sadly takes 15 hours to beat it

last game of trilogy but instead making great story finish it with worst way ever . i dont tell about bugs or hole in stroy i have problem with whole story. i think writer rushed to finish it because idk why but after u reach half of game its done for u after that story will be fantasy ... and one thing make me angry is the jokes every cinematic have jokes in it why?

10/10 engaging storyline, great graphics, and cool characters. Lets be honest, who wouldn't want to run around killing Nazis?

Good overall, but it has its issues. Played on max difficulty. Even more so than the last game, the devs seem to think instant death from every enemy equates to difficulty. You can get 100% overstack and full armour and still just instantly die to basically any enemy.

Compared to previous games, a couple gripes stand out.
1. I was able to accomplish literally every mission and every task with the assault rifle. The nail gun, shotgun, grenade pistol, all were 100% useless to me.
2. Besides the assault rifle, all the weapons felt like crap.
3. The heavy weapons, besides the laser cannon were worthless except for one situation I can think of.
4. The most egregious thing imo is the dual wield weapon selection not automatically equipping two of each weapon when you use the number keys. I think maybe if you use the weapon radial menu, that you can solve this, but I'm not using that shit.
5. Building on number 4, dual wield rarely felt necessary or convenient. The best strategy was just headshotting enemies in stealth with the pistol, then when you fuck it up, burst firing the assault rifle, killing most enemies in a few hits or headshots on larger threats.
6. I literally never once bothered to kill any of the larger robots. Not worth the effort, I just skirted passed them every time and went to the next area.
7. The bfg-style weapon was underwhelming because the charge up time is absurd.

This game has some of the worst auto saves I've seen make sure to manually save often. I crashed and had to redo a whole level.

Good campaign, weirdly woke story, mein leben difficulty isn't as bad as people say, you just have to be good (I haven't beat it yet)

Also fuck throwing hatchets, they disappear into thing air and alert enemies needlessly and clip with walls and obstacles.

Wouldn't recommend unless its on sale (I bought it for $5)

I played through the game in about 13 h on "do or die" difficulty ("hard difficulty settings for experienced gamers" there are three more above, though) and enjoyed every bit of it, apart from the occasional story drama that is. But, cut scenes are skipp able, so no problem. Ther are apparently side quests and, after finishing the game, you can re-visit some of the areas for a nazi hunts, but I haven't tapped into that yet.
The game actually doesn't botther to tell you about the side quests, I only found out about it while googling other stuff, but I didn't botther to explore the maze like hub myself. Some NPC certainly has something to say about it...

I have not experienced any of the bigger issues other reviews mention, like the inability to load files properly or any kind of crashes. Some minor bugs or glitches like getting stuck in a door frame for a moment appeared, but nothing that would diminish the experience.

Still one of the best single player shooters around. Great gameplay, atmosphere and characters. And for an action shooter even the story is good.

My PC has a weird issue. Sometimes on a random startup my framerate goes down by 300% or more in some games. This game is perfect to test that.
Perfect game to see if the pharaoh's curse is in effect in my system.

Unbelievable cutscenes, amazing voice actors, and dialogue. Overall, a great pew-pew game!

Reinstalled and played again after about 8 years. Despite its age, the graphics are still quite decent. The presentation, gameplay, feedback, and overall experience are still absolutely top-notch. Other AAA titles could definitely take some notes...

Wolfenstein II is an uncannily-current game despite its release date nearly eight years ago.

The map design suffers from the same issues in the first title--I got stuck more often than I'd like, and progress was never very clear for such a linear game. Even so, it's a rootin' tootin' shooter and it absolutely had its moments.

All in all, past the mechanical frustration I found this game to be largely enjoyable.

If you enjoy the fast pace of a game like Doom and you enjoy killing Nazi scum this is a great game!

I just finished the story for the first time on "Bring it on" difficulty, Fergus timeline.
I wholeheartedly recommend this game, it is a MAJOR upgrade in EVERY aspect from the previous "The New Order" which in it of itself was just great.
I love the retro-futurism and the whole artistic style and vibe of the whole franchise and it shines bright in "The New Colossus", sounds are amazing, gunplay and takedowns are at all time craze, the story is a well mastered emotional roller coaster and even after its done you still end up with some extra missions and side activities.
Now for the bad...
The crashes... the game freezes/crashes randomly and its a well known issue, sometimes in action packed sequences and it takes a quite bit away from the fun. I didn't get into it way too much to resolve it but just be prepared to either try and fix it once it happens or be patient enough to re-launch the game.

9/10 just because of the bad part above.

This game takes me back to a time when you were supposed to shoot Nazis, not elect them as your president so they can publicly deepthroat-gag on the cock of a foreign dictator who invades your allied countries. You know - back when you were supposed to jam the barrel of your Thompson down their throat and hold down the trigger, instead of passively watching them dismantle your government, install a loyalist Nazi regime and sabotage your economy.

Someone needs to make a MAGA hat mod for this entire series.

Nahh pre DLSS games are pure beauty. It shows when a dev team puts maximum efforts in their game.
This game has no right to look so good, and i cant believe its the same publisher that made starfield.

I enjoyed this game, the peace is fast yet challenging and compared to the previous titles it proves certain evolution at least in the game engine. I like the approach of the new mechanics that give more re-playable value but the missions are very repetitive, and the story is generally regular didn't like the fact that there were too much cinematics. Audio design is on point. The game shows some instability, bugs and technical issue. The big picture is antoher Wolfenstein n*zi shooting fps that will give you fun for some hours, get it on sale.

This was good fun. Slightly silly at times and definitely over the top at others, the game has excellent pacing the first half. It gets slightly repetitive towards the last few scenarios, even though the locations change.

I'm glad I played it, but I'm also glad it ended where it ended and it didn't continue. Thelast Wolfenstein game I've played was "Return To Castle Wolfenstein", this is definitely not like that. The plot is good enough, the characters are extremely-well voice acted. Makes them more memorable.

So much to love & so much to nitpick...

The graphics are amazing but also look blurry (high-ultra settings).
The gameplay is awesome but there is a step learning curve.
The music is fantastic but poorly mixed into the gameplay.
The story is great but ends abruptly (imo).
The extra content is welcomed but get's repetitive quickly.

Still would Recommend!
However you should play Wolfenstein: The New Order FIRST!

Fun game that definitely has absolutely nothing to do with real life whatsoever
