Now, only one man can put a stop to Silver and his minions. That man is you, David, a promising young knight whose wife is among the captured. In order to succeed you'll need to recruit allies, master your swordplay, learn the art of magic, and venture through hostile worlds teeming with Silver's corrupt followers to find 8 lost artifacts. Key Features:
- Intuitive Swordplay: Silver's unique control method allows quick and intuitive handling of action, which is especially helpful in the heat of battle. In effect, the mouse becomes the player's "sword arm". Sweep the mouse to your left and your hero will slash to the left, sweep the mouse forward and your hero will lunge. Magical effects, throwing knives, arrow, and even catapults are also controlled through the mouse system.

I had memories of when a kid i borrowed this game from my cousin
This has suprisingly good mechanics for such a old title!
Sadly its the kind of game that can only be played with a keyboard and mouse, because i think controller would trivialize the gameplay by a lot
but overall a solid little game so far for the price, and i even bought it on sale so it was super worth it
Combat is fun, the story is generic and the characters as well

I bought a magazine back in the day that came with the game (still have the magazine, but the 2 CDs were borowed to a friend and I never saw them again...).
It still amazes me how these characters stuck with me throughout the years, the pre-render backgrounds are still gorgeous and so the music. As far as the story goes, it's a bit basic, with some twists here a there.
Silver is an older game and sometimes the combat can be a little clunky, although to me is completely fine. I believe younger people will have a bit of trouble when it comes to "what to do next", there is no log book, and the game doesn't hold your hand pointing you to the next objective.
There are a couple of compatibility issues with the inventory UI but minor things aside this was as fun as it was in the past.
Underrated gem of that era, would highly recommend to anyone addicted to CRPG

ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE.
This is one of the best games I've ever played in my life, absolutely encompasses everything good from retro gaming, the aesthetic is purely golden, and the writing and atmospheric design is timeless, the early 3d rendered backgrounds create this massive and expansive magical medieval world. The best part of the game is the combat being able to feel like your hand gestures actually affect whether or not you kill or get killed.
Honestly not sure why it hasn't been copied or remastered.
people say its a final fantasy vii clone, but other than similar visual limitation of the time, this game is far Superior and far more replayable.

before you play this game you should see a guide walkthrough because the game doesn't gave enough hints where you should go after obtain some orbs
childhood memories - definitely worth playing!
doesn't even have to be the steam version. GOG also has one. fully played through the GOG version and currently playing the steam version as well.
A classic game from everyone's childhood that deserves ALL the praise it can get !!

Shame on you Steam. Its full of bugs, incomplete (rain dungeon not available, glass palace unavailable, special attacks not available) and this is just after 4 hours of game play. I finished the game back in '99 but now it just feels like Steam robbed me of one of the best games from my childhood.
Game is awesome, but not this version that Steam sells.
