Its clunky and frustrating to play, the games physics are also quite broken.
This game is such a nostalgia trip for me. It's got so many fun games that I used to see at Chuck E Cheese and Celebration Station, and if you're someone that grew up in that era it's a fantastic trip down memory lane. All the machines are made with love and attention to detail and there's tons to do and play.
I think the general idea of the game is fun but I wish there were more ways to reliably make money in survival mode for us nohands, the developer seems to be rather active though which is neat
This isn't just arcade games, but there's a 18 hole minigolfing minigame as well as an amusement park. I've spent most of my time exploring, so you'll get a few good hours out of that alone. Only thing I don't like is the game runs quite poorly on my computer at the lowest settings, and the computer I have isn't even a bad computer. The initial graphics are quite poor (I started at "potato" quality graphics), so turn those graphics up. Also, at that "potato" quality, rocks would despawn like, 10 feet away. I can't be darned to edit this afterwards, so just keep that in your mind. Other things I was surprised about was the lack of a good jump. I was hoping this kind of game would have a fun movement system that rewarded using it to go to out of the way places, but I haven't seen that thus far.
In summary, lots of content not including the tons of arcade games you can play and the game's pretty fun to explore as well, but it lacks the kind of exploration to really make the game shine in that way. A great game for 10 dollars (on sale) that maybe, one day, will shine even brighter in the future.
The only thing keeping me from spending $10,000 on real arcade machines is this game
the part where the coin played a game was the best part
I enjoy the game, alot cheaper then going to a actual arcade but for the life of the development of this game post a development update (not a game update) of this game every 2 months because half of the time I don't know if the main dev is alive until December without updates.
but enjoyable otherwise
been playing on and off for 5 years. never uninstalled the game or re downloaded. game is incredibly unique and i keep coming back from time to time. the devs really care and have been keeping up to date for years and still implement large updates to the game. truly a gem.
This game is so relaxing for me, when I really wanna go to a arcade without going out is awesome for me! TY!
I love this game so much. There is a lot of humor sprinkled through out the game on top of the already fun of playing games. I cant wait for more updates.
This game is really fun, its super nice exploring the map and seeing what it has. The only thing i really really dont like are the player models, they look so weird and off putting. I really really dont like the female player model, its weirdly sexualized. I would love if the 2 player models where more simplistic and stylized.
its very well emulated. Tons of fun!
Do you love that adrenaline rush from hitting a JACKPOT watching the machine puking out tickets! Wondering what prize you can afford at the counter, no cheap finger finger trap today! This game will probably bring you joy. It contains such a delightful variety of coin games, and other activities. The coin pushers are excellent!
If you are an indie game lover like me, give this game a look. Its got wonderful game play, and a quirky world that is fun to explore. I always excitedly check out the new updates!
The Coin game me with so much warm nostalgia. That feeling of heading to your local fun center/pizzeria...so amazing. Heady even! Just get this game. Even if you play it for an hour once a year you will be happy to have this.
good game lol
fun for people that love arcade games
arcade simulator with even more definitely worth a buy especially for the price and amount of stuff to do
good but needs multiplayer and more arcades
really makes you FEEL like a coin game
Itches a specific spot on my autistic brain.
good child casino simulator. one thing i would like to see is some more arcadey type games thrown into the mix instead of just the ticket machines. would be cool to see other peoples high scores and such on them. maybe also open up Workshop support at some point so that people can imput custom games into the game. . elsewise i cant complain. its a cozy beach town simulator with arcade machines thrown in.
almost feels like a real arcade
I love gambling with the coin droppers
LEIGFHTON
Good Game
Better than spending real money on arcade games
veryy nicee
Awesome fun for kids and adults, lifelike animaton and action thats realistic.
If you like arcade games this game is for you.
This is one of my favorite games! If you like playing arcade games but without getting scammed out of your actual money, this is the game for you. I am addicted to the coin pusher games.
amazing
I love this game, I really hope it also gets support for Mac one day
My GTA 6
I think it's pretty good game, like the dunko and crane games
pretty good
Perfect beautiful flawless
Love this game. Nothing like playing some old arcade games and then going to the movie theater at the mall to watch Don't Hug Me I'm Scared episode 6 on the silver screen. Game of the year.
After watching BrutalMoose play this for years I decided to grab it after getting a new gaming laptop for Christmas. It's everything I had hoped it would be. Love playing all the games without having to spend the real money to do so. I live about an hour from Funspot in New Hampshire and each trip easily cost me $50+. Being able to play most of the games I can there on here for free is amazing. Would love to see a jukebox (perhaps with the ability to add our own songs) and bowling alley added. Fantastic game, thank you so much!
Arcade survival simulator? I'm all in for it.
Incredibly addicting and lots of great details.
Very Suprise by this one i tought i buy a arcade shop with some coin games
but im walking around in a open city with stuff happening everywhere
and new camers around every corner a cinema. a mall ,a pirate place ,pawnshop ect ect
and for a nice price
The only thing i had some trouble with is with controller its feels a bit off but it EA so i hope that wil still improve
I found this game because I was looking for a coin pusher game, because I spend on them in real life. This game has so much more than I expected! I love the coin pushers, but it also has all the other popular arcade games. It's so fun because you aren't spending actual money on all the arcade games. I've been making in game money from those money catcher arcade games but I think you can deliver pizzas too! You can explore the world on foot, or with vehicles. There is a mall, a place with mini golf, a carnival with rides and games. You can get prizes and add them to your home. I can't wait to see what more gets added to this game!
A very cozy game with nice aesthetics. I haven't been able to visit many arcades in real life and when I had the chance there was always the issue of choosing what to play wisely so as to not dry up the funds for playing, The Coin Game, even if it's not tantamount to the real thing, is a pretty nice simulator that doesn't contain the issues mentioned, which make it quite relaxing.
It's quite freeing to be able to enjoy all different kinds of games without the worry of time or funds. Still, it's in early access, but the developers' effort in adding new machines and locales shows they care about improving the game. Hopefully, its full release will polish some of the more clunky aspects of the game but so far I've had my share of fun with it!
Let me first start by saying, I love this game. The game absolutely nails the nostalgic feel as most of the games in this game are from my childhood! After recently seeing that the game was still being updated, I decided to give it another go.
While I was pleasantly surprised to see how much new content had been added, I was ultimately disappointed by how unpolished the game still is after the few years it's been out.
Bugs:
- The game doesn't pause when trying to use the pause menu. I got up and left to handle something only to come back to discover that I somehow still passed out from starvation, losing me hours of gameplay.
- Couches have some sort of boundary box that cause you to either get stuck or just slide off should you try to jump on top of them. This becomes a major issue during the babysitting job if one of the toys land on the couch.
- My character gets trapped inside of the bike if I accidentally walk over it or it drifts into me when I've put it down.
- There's a bug that causes actions to become unavailable upon starting the game in survival mode.
- The jackpot on the Big Bass Wheel only gives 4 tickets.
- The Dunko machines only put out the same 4 colored cards red, blue, yellow and occasionally orange. I've yet to see a black or green card.
- CARS ARE THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE. They do not stop for you nor will they go around you! Sometimes you can't hear them until you're seconds away from getting hit. This is a major annoyance because the collision will sometimes freak out and launch my character several feet into the air. The game will automatically try to reset you at your last landing point, but doesn't do so from when you were last on the ground. No, it resets you from where you were a few seconds ago. So if you're still free falling, you'll be reset to the last point you were falling from, over and over and over again.
- The Ball dropper game at Larry's doesn't always work properly. Sometimes the physics straight up don't work and the ball either doesn't drop at all or just quickly phases through the machine without landing in a slot, resulting in the game awarding you a random amount of points—usually 25. Other times, it has ended the game early after just two turns, and will sometimes skip the bonus rounds.
Survival Mode:
- Great concept and fun when it's fun but it needs a bit of tweaking imo.
- Nanny bot serves no purpose. She will only restock food for the house if you pay her $20 via your savings which is pointless because you can just buy things yourself. I feel like she should at least buy food for the fish and Douglas.
- The pizza delivery job, while a great addition, makes very little sense. It COSTS $7.00 per pizza you want to deliver? Why? We're the delivery driver, we shouldn't have to pay for the pizza?
- There's no ability to pin the GPS if you're delivering pizzas on a bike. Unless you've memorized the entire map, you'll have to keep stopping to check the GPS on your watch to make sure youre going the right way, which wastes time. Most of these houses were once just background assets so the gps is very much needed. What's worse is if you miss the deadline, you've now wasted $7.00 on a failed pizza delivery that you can do nothing with. You can't eat it nor can you redeliver it.
- The mall, while another great addition, feels pointless. All of the items at the offbrand Spencer's are things you can win in the arcades, being sold at insanely expensive prices. The food court has your typical vendors you can find in other locations, and the movie theater while an awesome idea, has no movies running. There's almost no customization so no clothes shopping or jewelry.
- Kenny's Waterpark looks SO FUN but alas, we can't enjoy it because water chops off -2 health points for every few seconds that youre under water.
- The game doesn't autosave so passing out or being out past curfew = game over as in you get kicked back to the main menu. So make sure you save constantly.
- This isn't a survival mode gripe but i wish the van was available in birthday mode.
All in all, if you were born in the late 90's/ early 2000's and want to relive the nostalgic feeling of early 2000's Chuck-E-Cheese/Mall arcades, definitely play this game but be warned, it is still pretty bugged. I myself will still play it, but may stay away from survival mode for now until things improve.
Honestly for what this game is and what it gives out, it's honestly pretty fun, It really brings out the inner child/gambler in me that constantly tries to grind games like "pop the lock" or "Quick Drop" for the most tickets I can, a bit buggy at times and honestly after you explore everything it's just a "Rinse and Repeat" grind fest but for what it's worth 7/10, kinda wish there were more arcade games or even Arcade Store Simulators where ya can run a prize corner and test games.
HEY! What are you doing down here? Just scroll back up and buy this game already.
i play coin pusher
8/10 experience
buy every game on sale
never spend more than 15 dollar
PLAYED ON: ROG Ally and PC
RATING: ⭐⭐
REPLAYABILITY: Has potential
As a lover of arcades, I REALLY wanted to love this game. Sadly, I found myself struggling with quality and found a lot of the gameplay to be lacking.
The gameplay itself can be laggy (even on my proper gaming PC) and it’s not very user friendly. There’s no proper tutorials or set goals. Survival mode, while a great concept, definitely still needs work. Rewards could be better throughout the game, I didn’t find myself excited to try to win anything which greatly reduced my chances of enjoying a grind for tickets.
I understand that this game is from a small studio, in Early Access, and needs work. I’ll keep my eye out on it in the future to see if it can win me back with some critically needed patches, content, and updates. I still have high hopes for its future and will review again when I see improvements!
Everytime I try and replay this game there is a new bug and I just waste time trying to do a task. Couldn't grab a toy for the job I was doing because it was on the couch. No matter how hard I push it or try and grab it all i can do is sit.
