Save Their Souls is a badly made Brazilian 2D retro pixel "platformer" (I guess it's a platformer, you can't jump but you do go upstairs so I guess it's like a platformer more than anything else) with a "memory" quirk... but not in the fun kind of way. You're given a list at the beginning of each level with the room numbers you have to open. Run to each room and open it. If you open a room that's not on the list you take damage. There's also a timer. That's all there is to this incredibly shallow shovelware.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result.
There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision.
Bewilderingly, the game doesn't include proper audio controls, so you can't turn off the annoying background music, you'll need to alt+tab out and stop the music using the Windows sound mixer. This is obviously not okay and it's unclear why the developers chose not to include this basic feature.
The controls and game handling are notably very clunky and unsmooth here. It's janky and unsatisfying to play... and any experienced gamer will tell you, the handling, responsiveness and general gameplay feel of the control scheme must be well polished for this kind of game to succeed. Unfortunately, this is something the developer seems to have phoned in, with little to no apparent gameplay testing. They dropped the ball on this one.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only appears around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards.
Save Their Souls is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.

Nice game! You can beat the game in just some minutes. Sound Track is very nice and game mood is funny.
It's a short game. I wish that it was longer. It was hard if you play alone. Other than that it's fun to play with your friends!

I manage to finish the game in 12 mins by myself……I guess it would be more fun to play with your friends lol. If you have someone to play the game with in real life, you should try the game. Looking forward for more and harder levels (｡･ω･｡)ﾉ♡
It's a really cute little game but needs more to it. Getting up and down stairs could be a problem but it was entertaining and kept me busy for an hour =3 It should worth playing again with someone just for the giggles. All in all, great retro vibe and I hope it becomes the stepping block to greatness for the developers.
STS is a great retro game. It is simple, yet charming, easy in mechanics yet challenging in gameplay. The music gets you all pumped up, the pixel art graphics are well made and bring a good sensation of nostalgia from the earlier console age. You can play it once for the challenge of beating it and many other times with your friend/s just for the fun of it.
10/10 would say the wrong door to my friend again just to make him burn. :D
a fun little game where you have to save people from a fire. While this seems simple, it gets progressively harder the higher levels you go. Opening a door you are not sure of is a tense moment. The music is great and bouncy!
