In You Are God, you [the player] must care for a new planet. Warm the planet with sunlight and wet it down with rain to produce the best conditions for life to develop. If the conditions are right, plant life may develop. If there is plant life, it's possible that animal life may form. Once there is animal life, it may develop sentience. Once this happens the lifeforms will create a new religion to offer solace to their fears and desires.
Will they worship you, or will they come up with a different God? Will the different nations turn on each other, fighting over which religion is correct, or will they unite in harmony and develop new technologies together? Will they become advanced enough to journey into space and potentially leave the planet entirely? They will live their lives, following their own free will, but you must guide them and care for them if they are to reach their full potential.
There are three continents (nations) that grow and run by their own sets of rules. These rules are dictated by the religion they design and follow. If you are the God they worship, you will have more influence over them, but you can never control them. If you are unknown or despised by the people they may turn against you. If the nations have different Gods, they may fight and could even destroy the planet in the process.
The endgame idea is for the people on the planet to discover another world and leave their home planet behind. As the technology level rises, the people will notice the stars, go to space, colonize the moon, research other planets and eventually leave to colonize on another world. Of course, it's also possible to keep them on the planet and under your care with religious influence.

some random ass game i bought in like 2017ish and they haven't even updated since and its devolved into a buggy mess lol
This game is a SCAM. The developers shut down their old website for this game willingly and again, willingly let it collect money on Steam while they have ZERO intention of updating. Such a cool concept but horribly executed. The current state of the game is buggy and bland. Not worth the purchase
They seem to have given up on this game. No updates or communication of any kind from the devs for quite a long time. The game should be removed from the store.
Not a good game for the following reasons
- Not fun, like at all
- Very *very* limited features
- Low FPS on my machine, and cannot optimize it

my people died randomly, when i opened the town building window, which i didn't know about, i couldnt exit it, but i can drown the planet so its not all bad.

By buying this game You are paying for nothing. You can not even call it a game, what is it? What is it doing on Steam?
Haven't had any sort of update, even a "mea culpa, this is taking longer than we thought" in 3 months.
I can't recommend folks invest money in this. Most EA games show /some/ progress, even if it's just an update on what's being done without any code released.
Not a playable game at the moment and not much happening so unless there are some major developements over the next few weeks then this game will turn in to another early access that gets removed from my hard drive and not played again as the last update was well over a month ago and no new news on developement tells me the dev took the money and ran.
A let down, another game idea that started to look promising but left me who got it early access feeling cheated out of either a potentially good game or the money I parted with to support it.
The game isn't explained at all so it takes a long time to figure anything out and even if you do, it doesn't matter, several of the meters don't even seem to work and those that do don't work logically. What I mean is that animals will always out populate plants and while animals go up, plants go down. I figured out a few things like it's insanely easy to lose your plant population and thus causing your sentient and animal life population to go down far too easily and fast. Frankly, it doesn't seem to matter too much what you do, things go downhill far too easily and it takes too long for it to return. And even if you get all the population bars to max, it doesn't do anything. And you don't really feel any impact from the science and religion bars besides annoyance at constantly having to attack the planet to keep the morons in line every five minutes. It's just a chore, don't bother.
I'd wait until this game is more developed. Can't really do anything, nor does it provide you with basic knowledge on what to do.
Good game. I like it. But you could add a high resolution of the planet to see all nations and peoples, study the research, add a planetary constructor and a normal design.
I wouldn't recommend purchasing this game as it is. Tons of potential, but at this point the UI is terrible and incomplete, the amount of player control in general is low and the actions you are suppose to take aren't intuitive, thus you're left guessing at what you're even doing with the ui for the most part.
I hope this game becomes something great, because I feel like it could, but right now it's pretty trash.

Right now there is not much you can do in the game right now but i think when the game develops it will be amazing
A game? low degree of freedom, only human planet, now is still very insufficient (I don't know the role of the button, for example, human needs and the flower, the elephant, the flag.....), but can continue to optimize,improve space is very big, I want to see a good game in the future
At its current state it is not a game, there is almost nothing you can do.
That is after you figure out how to 'play' the game, since the 'Start tutorial' option dissappears when you change the game settings.
Also there are bugs, I had to restart the game about 5 times in 10 minutes of play.
I should ask for a refund but I am too lazy to find that hidden option and I wonder how the game evolves when it gets playable.
This game is not even in alpha, I do not understand why Steam released this!

I barely know how to code and I could probably make this game in a week. Absolutely do not buy this game. I have no idea what is going on, cannot access the tutorial. I sat around for 20 minutes trying to wait for the tech bar to go all the way up (Which I have no idea what that does btw) and honestly, would have rather listened to Justin Bieber for that amount of time. Do not play this. Do not buy it. Definitely a refund.
Honestly this game is right on the edge of recommended or not for me. I can go ahead and recommend this game because of its potential and the very fair price. The game does show great potential but still it is missing in areas. Its kind of hard to figure out at fist and I feel some much needed features are missing. It is tons of fun to play god but I feel the planet lacks detail and the gameplay can become dull after awhile. That being said I dont feel like I was ripped off buying this game but make sure you know what you are getting before you drop your cash on it!
