Feels quite cheap and janky
Parkasaurus is a very cute and fun game, I love how cute the dinosaurs are. I also love many of the features, like science gathering and the hearts you get, and being able to search for fossils and buy from stores in-game(with in-game cash).
That being said, What I dislike is that the game doesn't have much content, My first zoo, I completed all research and was almost done with Hearts research. All within 2 hours of playing. Also the dinosaur sounds are way off, it sounds more like a dying bear than anything else, and some dinosaurs don't even have sounds. Also, the zoo maps are very small and there is no way you can have all dinosaurs in a park.
I completed the game with 11 hours on record, and most of that time was afk waiting for my park to produce the research, money and hearts needed to expand my park. But, I do recommend if you like this type of game, Just be warned that you may complete the game within a few hours of non-stop play. Also I was just thinking the price may not match the content and quality of the game, it may be over priced, just not sure of that sort of thing.
Saurus
Parkasaurus is a really great game that could entertain many different demographics.
I loved playing though with my "gumdrop" park because all of the colors in this game remind me of candy and fun. The game play is fairly simple and the important things are outlined pretty well in the tutorial. In this game you play through different parks and help "The Dinos" make exhibits to bring happiness up for dinosaurs. The ultimate goal is to help the dinos back to a rocket.
I would recommend Parkasaurus! It was a lot of fun and is a very cute game.
It's an easy dinosaur theme park game where you can make them wear hats. It's adorable.
the only issue i have with this game is that it gets laggy if you let it run too long without reloading it. other than that, i got sucked into it for 9 semi-continuous hours. if you like zoo tycoon types for the tedium and the ability to release deadly animals upon npcs, you'll go hog wild for this. it squeezes dopamine from my neurodevelopmentally warped brain cells the way zoo tycoon 2 for the nintendo ds did as a child. 9.5/10
Fun, not a big fan of games that require DLC to 100% but still fun
Its a decent game, and I've had it since it first released. It has some major flaws that make the game difficult to play any single park for as long as I'd like.
- Guest AI seems rather arbitrary.
- Dinosaur needs are not clearly communicated. For example a dinosaur might need a 400m^2 exhibit and that's all fine, but adding another dinosaur doesn't increase that to 800m^2 or any clear multiple of the base exhibit size. It becomes this really annoying guessing game of adding dinosaurs and modifying exhibits to have a 'just right' size.
- Game mechanics are counter productive. Dinosaur's need more privacy. Increasing the privacy of the exhibit leads to the dinosaurs never being visible to guests and greatly decreases your profits. It makes this feedback loop of treating your dinosaurs better decreasing profits. I went so far as to test this out and see how extreme it was. I made a small exhibit with zero privacy and 6 dinosaurs in it and it made significantly more profit than a large exhibit with decent privacy and 6 dinosaurs.
- Too many clicks to get things done and confusing nested menus. Unlocking a new dinosaur just feels like too much effort and isn't fun. You have to unlock the ability to search for fossils in the egg store, search for those fossils in the portal room, buy the right gem in the gem store, and only then can you buy the egg from the egg store. It just requires a very roundabout process to get the dinosaurs. I think all the middle steps could be removed and no one would notice. The portal room and the fossils could just be deleted from the game in my opinion, leaving just buying eggs which would in fact be a well needed science point sink.
And finally, the biggest problem of all in this game is just how buggy it is. Selecting things with the mouse only works about 1/3rd of the time. I'm not entirely sure why this is. If I had to guess I would say this game uses raycasting from the mouse position and physics collisions to select objects and it simply doesn't work most the time. The menus are inconsistent. Sometimes you can close them by right clicking, sometimes you can close them by hitting escape, and sometimes you need to actually click the x in the corner of the window to close it. Frequently when I place objects, the cost popup never disappears and I have to reload the park. I don't remember any of these being problems back when I originally purchased it, they seem to have come with updates.
That's all I really have to say about it. It's a decent game that I enjoy, but its too buggy and broken to really tell someone else they should buy it with real money.

Parkasaurus is a charming indie simulation game where you create and manage a dinosaur zoo. It’s a relaxing experience and gave me similar vibes to the classic Zoo Tycoon games. The game has a colorful, mid-poly art style, with characters and dinos looking adorable and sometimes a bit goofy.
The building system uses a grid, making park design easy and intuitive, while offering customization through terrain, vegetation, and water manipulation. You can also place paths, buildings, decorations, and enclosures. However, there’s no undo button when building, making fixing mistakes a bit frustrating.
Each dinosaur species has different needs, like enclosure size, biome type, and whether they're herbivores or carnivores. Unlocking new species is only possible through the fossil excavation mini-game, which can feel repetitive but is automatable for a fee. Customizing dinosaurs with hats adds a fun touch and even provides bonuses.
While customization is fun, the game suffers from limited animations and some clipping issues. There's also not much color variety among dinosaurs, making larger exhibits feel visually repetitive. Another small issue is the limited name database, which results in multiple dinos sharing the same names.
The game's difficulty level is fairly low, though at times it feels too simple—you may find yourself just waiting for money to accumulate to expand further.
This game is fun and adorable. It's a little wonky at times, but whom among us isn't?
Only good dinosaur zoo game.

Not very fun for a dino zoo type game. I got it on sale at $9.99 usd and it might be worth $10, but definitely not it's full price of $24.99.
If I could do a neutral review, I would.
I play quite a few zoo games and like to know I'm taking proper care of the critters, but this game doesn't give the feeling of that. I'm not sure if there is a 1-way fence available in the unlocks, which both the science and hearts unlock trees are confusing and the popup to read what it consists of is buggy so I don't even try and just go in order hoping to find what I need, the animals always are upset about privacy to an extent, and even if all their other needs are well met, they will still bash the fences the moment they come out of the tall grass and shelters once you have so many guests they lower the privacy fast. I usually love the audio in games, but I had to turn my volume down because the animals sound annoying, and the humans are even worse, especially if you buy a haunted pumpkin and get the night visitors, had to mute that! Don't mind the music though.
For some reason the game is super focused around hats?
Some of the ideas are unique and would be fun if the other aspects were not making it bad.
The idea of how to earn footprints and skulls is fun and being able to upgrade your employees and their level ups from natural experience is just amazing! Some of the decor is super cool, like the hanging lights is something I love.
The way you NEED to tailor the habitat for the specific species is very pleasing on it's own and the way certain biomes are linked to the ground type and depend on elevation and humidity is unique and cool, more games should do this! The way to place water, hills and valleys is pretty annoying though, because it's all squares, it always is fairly unnatural looking and the water glitches out sometimes, especially the smart water tool. Somehow ZT2 has nicer terrain edit tools than a game almost 2 decades newer?
One thing that irked me right within the tutorial is how many balloons the guests let go the moment I bought the balloon shop. I feel the rate at which they lose them is too high or common.
Honestly, it feels like I'm playing a mobile game in a lot of ways except I can turn the camera view and go into 1st person view.
If I see updates on the bugs and unbalanced things I might change my opinion and review. It's not an unplayable game and not everything is that bad, but there is enough to turn me away from recommending it at full price.

Honestly I love this game so much. I like dinosaurs and I grew up playing zoo tycoon this is kind of like zoo tycoon with the game play.

I love this game. It's cute, fun, easy to play and has loads of dinos!
It's a nice builder-type game, where you can set up your own sandbox park or play through the campaign. You can customise pretty much everything from colours of your toilets, all the way up to chosing what type of food you serve and how much it costs.
This game has given me hours of fun and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who likes management sim type games. Also dinos.
