buy on sale for like 3 dollars. 15 is low but too high for this. No longer updating - dead game.
The game is very fun for the little bit of gameplay you get out of it. There just is not enough content or purpose in the game to enjoy anything. Quests are lame and much of the time confusing when it comes to who to turn them into, and some quests seem to think they have not finished when they have or have finished when they havent.
It had a lot of potential but they gave up and abandoned it. I assumed I was waiting for more updates but actually looked today and realized it was completely ghosted.
You might be able to turn my 10 hours into 50 hours of enjoyment if you grind like crazy or join a lot of online groups. but forming groups online has been really lackluster and often unhelpful. Many people join and just ignore the other people. sometimes you get cool people who communicate and try to complete quests or dungeons with you. The best way to level i have seen is to join a group with someone much higher than you and let them carry you. That or spend countless hours slowly grinding away on weaker mobs that give very little xp. If the world and game itself were more interesting, then the grind can be fun... but it isnt.
There are fun things in this game... it is worth it at under 5 bucks to get a weekend or a few hours of fun out of it.
Avoid unless you get it for dirt cheap.
Co op action RPG with some interesting things going for it but ultimately its a big letdown.
+ There is a lot of content including bosses, gear, classes, races and such.
+ Some of the animations are nice and smooth and pretty well varied.
+ There are some interesting spells and they feel good, especially on the warrior.
+ Game is cheap and co op works well.
- Its just broken. Its stuttery, gameplay doesnt feel good, its laggy, camera jumps around all the time,
- Its clearly unfinished.
- Balance is terrible. Some bosses and normal mobs are laughable, others are doing crazy damage for some reason.
- Story is non existent.
- You cant see anything on the screen, especially in melee, so many spells and abilities going off its a visual mess.
Dont bother because its broken. Action RPG isnt worth playing if the gameplay isnt smooth and nice. Its a shame because there are good parts and clearly a lot of effort went into it.
I am enjoying it, but this game is NOT for everyone! It is janky, and it is most certainly a AA game. Look up some videos before you commit to buying.
the game is just complete - t works, its fun , its really good period!
Very fun game with great atmosphere, and you can tell there's a lot of passion put into it. The game can be clunky but often in a funny way. Also, it let me made a goblin rogue. 10/10.
Fun and under-rated game!
I hope this helps someone who is on the fence about if they should try it or not.
I wish listed this game about a year ago, it looked fun and i checked the current reviews to see mixed opinions with some saying its fun and others saying its buggy and incomplete. It went on sale in december for around $2.50 so i decided to buy it and let me say, for that price this game is PHENOMINAL!
Ive gotten around 24 hours of gameplay sofar and im not even at the endgame, There is 5 classes and 3 difficulty modes, ive completed all of the dungeons on the normal difficulty and about half of them on Hard, and after that there is a Nightmare difficulty where there is an actual challenge.
Now for my experience ingame, This game is like an MMO / Diablo like ARPG mixed together, you have tier based gearing in all your different slots, abilities to unlock and stats you can upgrade which make it very fun and progression feels satisfying. There are small bugs like getting stuck or ability targeting not going off ect, very small things that i believe the devs are making better with time but overall i would say it is not very impactful and doesnt ruin the game experience, just minorly frustrating at times.
Overall if you are deciding if you want to play, It isnt a completely polished game experience so if you are looking for AAA game this isnt it, but if you are looking for a casual game to run through some unique dungeons by yourself or a couple friends, with a decent endgame grind, GO FOR IT!
This game deeply admires, respects, and upholds the traditional tropes of fantasy. You'll hack your way through necromantic crypts, spider-infested forest citadels, druidic towers of beastly lore, and frosty caverns. Each location is rich in visual and mechanical character, featuring dozens of unique boss designs and stunning vistas. It's real good stuff.
This games a flop, graphically its nice and that's about it, the game play, interface, controls are absurd and playing this game is pure pain. Avoid it.
It does exactly what it says on the box. BUT!
It started randomly crashing. But i think it might have been my computer.
Only other gripe i have is combat feels too fast, like its a frame ahead. And sorting items is useless and frustrating to run through every item in your inventory to find whats best.
With that being said, the enemies are always unique and have their own AI and different classes. There s tons of variation in the dungeons, which are very large and they are generally well layed out.
I was reading in the forums that the devs abandoned it, but frankly the game is fine other than what i listed above.
I give it a thumbs up for sure. Its fun and does what it says.
very nice game. I wonder if it supports modding
After playing this game, I have a good idea of why it's on sale. I first saw about this game when I saw a video from GameSprout, of someone playing it, and got curious to look at it.
The first thing that caught my attention wasn't the lack of a main menu, which isn't really a issue. The issue was the game showing two pop ups asking if I wanted to start split screen mode, because I own a controller.
I even had started it by accident at first because the game was freezing when it first opened for some reason.
The biggest issue so far in the game, is the excuse of a translation they added to portuguese, with text brought directly from google translator, and shoved into the game. Such practice is lazy and will not produce accurate translation of what is written, with the example being the word "Party", whose in portuguese can be translated to "Grupo" (which fits the game style, since is for a group of characters), but is actually translated to "Festa" (which is the word used for celebration, like, the party where you have fun and stuff).
To begin the weirdness, classes that are non human like, like Orcs, the Dragon one and the race that was in between them, you can't pick the character gender. It's really weird that that's a thing. Maybe the developers didn't wanted to make a female model for those races, who knows?
The gameplay so far seems basic, with a town with a number of services you can do, and when you're done, you can leave the town to check Sundaria world map, which has multiple dungeons to pick.
The gameplay is third person, but if you're playing with a ranged class, you'll have troubles aiming because your character torax is right in the middle of the reticle. This game seems really generous with loot, way too generous. I've been getting a lot of items on the first floor of the crypt dungeon, and ended up making my sorcerer look ridiculous.
The combat so far seems alright. Your character has a number of skills whose you'll probably not know what it does unless you trial and error, unless you press I to open your inventory, and check the abilities tab, which the game doesn't tell you to do, to know what the skills does.
The dungeon itself had quite a number of npcs to kill, but I sometimes couldn't understand what was happening at times. Like, sometimes I was attacking a npc, and then hearts begun showing up on the npc head. Since I was playing as some kind of dragon character, I thought maybe the firebolts made the npc fall in love with scalies or something.
The dungeons are filled with chests, breakable objects and other things that gives loot, alongside npcs that also give loot. There are also bosses and minibosses too. The dungeon I did had 2 bosses I had to face in the floor, being that the second one I managed to kill before his entire mechanic ended, which caused the shielded npcs in the arena to start mobbing me after the boss died.
The dungeons seems to have multiple floors, but I didn't explored it further. The only thing I know is that the second floor wasn't a copy paste of the first, because it not only had different design, but also had new mobs in it, like rats and zombies.
I returned to town with the loot I got from the dungeon, and beside getting several rows of loot, I think most of it was literally sold only for 1 silver, making loot feel worthless. There was a salvage tab on the blacksmith too, and I wish I had checked it before selling all loot. But anyways, I was already done with the game at this point.
If you buy the game when on sale, maybe it could be handy as a passtime, but I really think this game needs some work to improve the gameplay quality, and also add an actual translation of game texts, instead of that sorry excuse of translation.
I bought this game for my son and I because well...why not? It's two dollars and if the game even provides a few hours of entertainment then it is worth it. Well it does much more than that, this game has a mixture of diablo, world of warcraft, and oblivion vibes to it. The game isn't overly complicated to where my 8 year old son was able to understand the mechanics, and the amount of bosses you fight really keeps you engaged. I did not buy this game expecting it to be a AAA game or to beat Elden Ring in terms of playability, for what this game intends to be with its dungeon diving and leveling system it is a 10/10. Some others have said the game crashes and there are plenty of bugs, but I will say we have put in about 4 hours into this game and have not had a single crash or glitch (knock on wood).
Its that kind of jank that makes you smile rather than rage.
On sale for $2.24 USD right now.
This is a good deal. This game has a lot of fun dungeons with like a hundred different bosses in each one.
Game go fast
zoom zip kill get gear repeat
yay
Loving the split screen option. Having so much fun with my daughter.
got on sale for like $3 so any enjoyment i got was already worth it. Was just fun to run around a dungeon killing things. Felt pretty easy to just jump in and play. Started a ranger and am enjoying the gameplay. Maybe some complexity later, not sure, but so far just some mindless fun for me.
Poor camera and lack of camera options. Combat is a spam fest. Endless gear to sort through. The dungeon layouts seem okay and there's a lot to do here but the game isn't particularly satisfying.

Love it.
Fun little game. Plays like an action MMO but just the fun part where you're doing a dungeon with your buddies.
Cool concept, good execution, I like it.
Long dungeons and a lot of fun i dove right into the second tier difficulty and enjoyed the challenge of defeating the bosses, rogue can kinda cheat and get high rarity gear really quick by going to the highest level of the hardest dungeon and sneaking around and opening chests, the Ciric chests are awsome once you get his quest. Overall pretty fun so far.
Great game, last boss isn't good or fun to fight, everything till that point is good.
Really good game, please add more loot, maybe boss specific drops, rare drops, rare cosmetic items that drop from some hard to find chest or something, just more reasons to get more stuff, endgame items are the exact same as beginning of the game with just different stats
The first few hours were great fun but unfortunately, the further I pushed into the content the more it showed how bugged and broken it was. Bosses stuck in re-spawn loops, quests bugging. So frustrating because it had potential but unfortunately, I highly doubt it'll ever get there.
Summary
A game with a fair amount of features and content, but stretched far too thin.
I bought this to play with my three sons and I played this game local multiplayer.
I had low expectations. It was mildly entertaining for a while, but didn't last long enough.
The game is janky and unfinished, but poor design is the biggest issue. If the existing elements of the game had been arranged better, it would be far more enjoyable.
Item levels
One of the prime examples of bad design is the item levels.
This is a hardcore looter, with constantly higher level equipment piling up around the players.
Equipment has different rarities, but rarity is largely meaningless.
Rarity level effectively is a trivial +X modifier to item level, so you might find a Rare level 10 sword, but a half hour later find a Common level 15 sword which is superior.
Normally in RPGs, item rarity imbues a little more longevity.
1st dungeon is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long but thanks for letting the player back to town and go back to the dungeon on the exact spot so i dont need to backtrack everything, secret rooms and hidden bosses are a blast! there are different mechanics each boss and it's so good to learn. gonna update this review after i get further into the game :D cheers
One of the first major things I said about this game to my friends was "this feels like a Roblox game" which sums up a lot about the game, but it's so much more than meets the eye.
The screenshots and trailer for this game do not do it justice as they make the game look janky, which is absolutely is, but what they don't convey is how much fun it is creating a character, learning your class, figuring out how to use your abilities best, finding better loot for killing a boss, and exploring new dungeons. If you can get past some of the bugs (like a bridge randomly turning pink or falling into a collection of rocks and having to spam roll to become unstuck sometimes) it is a great time with friends that feels kind of like world of warcraft or any other hotbar based MMO.
It's some of the most fun I've had with my friends for a very long time and for the price I paid, £2.59, it is an absolute steal, I feel like I should've paid a lot more. However the experience on your own isn't fantastic and feels kind of lonely.
9/10 with friends, 7/10 without
Old fashioned janky fun, could definitely use some polish but excited for more content and fun to just play and vibe with friends!
I thought this was gonna be exactly what I've been hoping for but sadly there's no randomisation meaning it gets incredibly boring incredibly fast and kinda makes the game pointless. This type of game really needs procedurally generated dungeons. If someone makes something similar to this, adds a bit more polish, adds a little bit more depth and work to the combat and makes it procedurally generated for infinite play... ideal.
Got this game on sale and was pleasantly surprised by how good it is. Each dungeon has unique enemies and you can choose to increase difficulty when completing a dungeon again. One of the best features of the game in my opinion was the ability to save your place in a dungeon and return to it later. There's tons of loot to be had in these dungeons so loot EVERYTHING. The feature where you can go back to town and return to where you left the dungeon will come in handy when you have too much loot because you can go sell what you don't need. Dungeons do feel repetitive in replays, but they are just challenging enough that if you don't scale your gear properly it won't be easy. Overall, a pleasant game to play with a couple of friends in between your other main games.
looting in group is a nightmare, but otherwise very fun
If you're interested in buying Dungeons of Sundaria, please be aware of the cool sale that the game can get!
Game drops to around 3 buckos occasionally and is a steal.
Dungeons of Sundaria has large dungeons with different themes, their lengths are absurd when you are lower level and want to explore. progression is okay, until you hit lvl 20 and sky rocket... Me and my friends went into a Nightmare difficulty map, around level 18 and it was rough. But hitting level 20 opens up the fast track to power, giving a duo the ability to wipe the third or fourth dungeon in around 10 minutes.
Multiplayer is smooth and our party of 4 had relatively little desync or other problems.
TLDR 4.5/10, ONLY BUY ON SALE. Didn't like it, but have to admit it is okay for the money I paid for it.
I keep coming back to this game. It's a fun game to grind dungeons solo or with friends.
Fun little dungeon crawler that gives me Champions of Norrath vibes.
Super worth it on sale! Worth it full price if with friends :)
It´s better than you think it is. And for 3 bucks you can´t go wrong with this one. Get yourself some hackn´slash action without too much thinking. Theres no complex Skilltree or Leveldesign, but it´s nice for some couple of hours.
Great to play with friends. Like the focus of developers on this one, something that has lacked in previous attempts of releasing a game.
can't use keyboard if it's not the same as the devs. problem reported for years and they haven't fixed it. unplayable. the game appears to be very half-baked and clunky and a quick check at the forums indicate that it has many annoying, if not game-breaking bugs
Amazing that this game went on sale for $3!
Honestly best $3 I'd ever spent. I'd have payed full price for it if I knew it was this good. Bring some friends for sure
Great fun in coop and scratches the dark fantasy itch.
The game is not bugfree. Sometimes you stuck in a place. But if you are not picky, the game is fun.
Absolute steal for the low price I paid of 5 dollars. My friend just got it for 2.99 and we are having a blast. I think this game is easily worth more than what I paid. It is fun despite the price as well.
Combat looks/feels cool but nothing new in market, maps have potential and bosses are on a good way to succes but game is just unfinished and i dont think ever will be. (make me wrong pls)
It normally takes me several tries to like an RPG, I usually get bored in the first hour, stop playing, play half an hour after some days, get bored again but this game got me playing 4.5 hours in a row the first time, think of Diablo II in third person.
It is a bit hard to understand the main interface with the buildings and the jobs of the NPCs but the systen is like most RPGs, buy, sell, upgrade, craft, buy spells, store items etc.
There is just 1 bug and 1 feature I didn't like
Bug: when I kill a creature it kind of explodes, there isn't any explosion but it is thrown away like 5 meters from the place it was killed instead of just dropping dead in the same place, also, some corpses on the floor start moving like if they were paper sheets flown away by air
Feature: the hotkey skills, if I hit a skill, for instance, 5 times, the character will cast it 5 times, like if it had memory how many times I hit the hotkey
casts
waits for cooldown

Some of the dungeons could use a map. Some of the bosses are too hard on normal difficulty.
Could use some QoL updates to it but overall gameplay is well worth it, especially as rogue (having tons of fun with this). Would love to see an ability book that show's you all your character abilities and the levels they are unlocked at rather than just being blind til you get the ability when you level up. Because ranged combat feels AWFUL but I think Hunter (in theory) could be fun, but ranged feeling so awful I don't wanna just blindly level up hoping it GETS good ya know?
Still, game worth it especially since all the melee classes are fun and mage seems fun enough.
TL/DR: Worth it at full price, super worth it on sale.
A surprising amount of fun with friends (local split screen) for the low price. However, when having 3 or more players, the game chugs are to the point of being unplayable in some instances. No amount of adjustments to the graphical settings or resolution seems to have any impact. I'm speculating an optimization issue given the machine we're playing on.
Playing a AMD Threadripper 3960X
nVidia RTX 3090 Ti
128GB Ram
While not specifically a "gaming" machine, it should be more than enough for this game, especially since it has zero issue with any other I have ever played. Here is hoping a patch fixed the issue.
it's buggy and repetitive but it scratches a specific itch. Worth the like $4 it was on sale for
Quite the enjoyable game.
Expected a hack and slash RPG, and that is exactly what I got.
As someone who enjoyed the old Lord of the Rings RPGs like "Lord of the Rings: War in the North", this has been one of the closest games to that same experience.
The game is a bit rough around the edges, has certain bugs that needs to be fixed, and certain mechanics that are either poorly scaled, or not very descriptive.
Game includes "one shot" mechanics that may take time to figure out, and platforming elements that can become frustrating.
The game doesn't have much story to it, it does have quests, but with little relevance - much like LotR: WitN the story becomes irrelevant on new game plus/higher difficulties.
I would highly suggest the following changes/improvements:
- Adding the ability to check your own buffs/debuffs (and enemy buffs/debuffs). Give us a button that toggle mouse movement to hover over buffs/debuffs to read them.
- Increased character limit. Currently possible to have 5 characters, so you can either have one of each class, or have to sacrifice a class. Playing solo and with different friend groups, you eventually run out of characters at a proper level.
- Character/party level scaling. Alternatively to more characters, the game scaling individually to each party member's level, as seen in MMORPGs (could be a party option, to still allow boosting). Seemingly past level 20, the game no longer scales, so only relevant in early game.
All in all, I highly recommend this game for anyone who enjoy old school hack and slash RPGs, and doesn't worry too much about story.
the game play combat and stuff was fun saw no point to cleric. story was a bit MEH i didn't feel invested for the story at all. the font size was horrible small. it got better in the setting but still horrible after making it max. please mind you i was local play. i checked in solo the font size was not bad then but i dont recommend people with bad eye sight get it.
now the reason this game got a NO!
ALL THE BUGS
there so many bugs. there was a trading bug where i was trading with my friend who i was remote playing with sometimes instead of putting in trade he or i would wear it this drove us nuts but was not the biggest deal breaker. second was in some of the dragon mountain level u can fall and not die which was annoying as hell! but the worst the one that made me uninstall and soon to HIDE and all that in my library is that we had 1 quest in the bog that just wouldnt complete and to make it worst before we did the quest the boss kept procing its intro. i have raised many worlds yours will be no different. or soemthing like that. the repeating intro annoying but id have went through its again the incapable of finishing a major quest that made me quit this game. soft/hard locked us out of progressing past the bog level which i only gotten 1 legendary item (for ranger. i was a mage and he was a rogue)
i DO NOT recommend you get it unless its on a good sale and u wanna have a bit of silly fun with some glitches poping up here and there.
Should you buy this game? That depends...
If you have a dedicated group to play with? Yes.
If you are buying the game counting on grouping with players in the world? No.
THAT BEING SAID: I do like the game as a solo player, but I'm one to grind dungeons and I like these maps. They aren't simple like a Diablo 4 map, but they aren't very complicated, either. The game is solo-friendly as everyone has a healing skill on a pretty short CD on top of health pots. The gear upgrade system is pretty generous as you refine gear you don't need for components and those components can be upgraded to craft the next tier.
If you don't mind the dated graphics and you're OK with playing a "dead" game where you'll probably be the only person online, give it a try.
First of all this game is one of those hidden gem games i stumbled onto this as one of those 99 cent games and i managed to play about an hour straight without realizing what i was doing.
8/10
Only changes i would like is the ability for specializations for classes
some variety in weapon designs
a way to crossplay on the console side
and a way to customize the ui
Other than that its an amazing game i love what it is for a 99 cent game. super fun and hope the creator goes far with it.
Pick it up if you havent already!
