Other improvements include: Minor visual tweaks, DirectX11 renderer, Tweaked race sequence audio, improved menu fonts and auto game backups (with option to revert to an older backup).

Great fun for an older game
very good game to pass time. Before you know it you are a few seasons in. Another quality game from Strategic Designs
My favorite game. Really does capture the scene well. Nothing better than pulling a few strokes, like knowing you've got a decent dog, example a sprinter, chucking it into a further distance races, getting it down graded, stick it in a Sprint or better handicap race and having a decent bet.... Great thrill, for someone who will never own one of these fantastic animals it's the closest thing... Great fun
One of the best racing simulations.
Great little fun game, reminds me of the commodore 64 greyhound game of the mid 80's . This game takes a little while to learn the perks but it's a great game for 20+ hours , more then some multi million dollar studio games for single player campaigns.
The game gets boring fast and theres bugs the developer still hasn't fixed from the original version.
I can't name my bred puppies, if i name a pup 'Scooby Dooby Doo' the name will come out as just S.
The developers constantly patch Starters Orders but leave this game a buggy mess.
GOOD FOR 10 MINS THEN AFTER TAHT WHEN YOU FIGURE OUT THE GAME PLAY YOU REALISE HOW POOR THIS GAME IS.
THE WHOLE GAME IS ABOUT BETTING AND BREEDING, YET IF YOU BET YOUR DOG IT AFFECTS THE RACE RESULT, SO BASICALLY THE GAME IS UNPLAYABLE
A REALLY REALLY PATHETIC EFFORT, HOWEVER DOESNT SUPRISE ME AS THE SAME HAPPENS ON ITS OTHER GAMES

I played the original years ago and was looking forward to this version.
Not sure why this game is even on Steam since apparently NO ONE has gotten it to work.
If you want this game don't buy it on Steam. Buy it from the developer direct.
Its disgusting that Steam totally ignores the problems with this game and yet offers it up for sale even though it does not work.

Fantastic! As soon as i saw it memories of the good old commodore 64 came flooding back. I was a little sceptical when buying because it looks so different. But having played only an hour it retains the atmosphere of the commodore 64 with so much more depth. If you are old enough to remember the commodore 64 version and you loved it then this is a must buy! I can see me putting 8hour stints into this game and can't wait to get into it. Well done devs!
Great if you are interested in dog racing.
I don't think there is another greyhound management game like it. Actualy the management side of things is quite lite which I prefer. Basicaly you get your dogs fit and race them and try to get them a higher grading and bet on the races to make money to buy new dogs. You can then breed your own dogs later. Personaly I like to dip into this game now and again and have done for years. I'm hoping one day there will be a GM3 but for now this will do! The fun is in working out which dog will win a race by looking through the dogs previous form and then watching the race and collecting you betting winnings. The races are plain and basic 2D but nicely realistic. I guess the plus side to this is it should run on most PC's without a problem.
The dog racing has graded races and handicaps and also jumps races. There are rounds (quarter finals, semi finals and finals) to the big races so it's not easy winning one of these races with your hounds but the prize money makes it worth attemting and it's very satisfying yo finaly win a big race.
So yes. If you are at all interested in dog racing buy it now! If not you probably won't get through the stats and terminology.
Best game for greyhound fans out there, also a great race predictor and really adictive.
