VoiceAttack supports a multitude of Windows speech recognition engines in different languages. Depending on your Windows installation, you may have English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese or Chinese already built right in. If none of those are your language of choice, additional speech recognition and text-to-speech languages can be downloaded and installed straight from the website. Chances are the language you are looking for is readily available here:(Note that installing these speech packages do not change VoiceAttack's interface language which is currently English-only).

i will kiss this software on the mouth.
VoiceAttack is in my books as the best piece of software you can get. The main function of note being voice activated "commands," (macros.) For example you can do anything from having a single key or mouse click, opening programs, to just about completely controlling your computer or very immersive experience in certain aspects of games. All this done with your own voice and commands of your choosing.
Beside that you can still just use hotkeys on you keyboard/mouse or something else you manage to hook up like normal and the edits you can make are EXTENSIVE and very user friendly.
There is a good trial version which has all the same features but limits you to ten commands in a profile, however I can't recommend enough a one time purchase for unlimited commands and utility if it's what you want and you're looking for more.

Its alot of work but you can control everything in Elite and Dangerous with voice commands, makes VR so much easier since you can not see the keyboard.
I've so far only used this for Elite:Dangerous, specifically for the amazing 3rd-party tool EDCoPilot. The developer of that tool included an incredibly elaborate set of scripts to interface with VoiceAttack. It's frankly amazing how much functionality and immersion VA and EDCP add to the base game. I can't imagine not using these tools now. The speech recognition is pretty good. The scripting is way over my head but it seems to be very powerful and flexible. If you're willing to put in the work to set up voice macros for whatever software you want to use this with (or if a pre-configured setup that someone else put together is available), I highly recommend this software.
Updates almost daily with annoying pop ups and then eventually bricked itself. Its a good idea in theory but holy crap it gets old quick when you spend more time trying to fix the damn thing vice using it.

Just about finished the tutorial.
Its a bit finicky to set up but once you have it running the sky is the limit.
Outstanding, using it in Helldivers. I highly recommend it.

Perhaps one of the best purchases I have made from Steam ever. Not only useful in games, but great for any program. I use it for Helldivers II, Photoshop, Resolve, DCS. . . literally anything.
It is helpful if you have some understanding of programming. Making your macros efficiently does require some programming logic.
Voice Attack is a life-saver (sometimes literally) for any game with overly complicated control schemes.
I originally bought this software for Elite Dangerous, but lately I've been using it for Helldivers 2... specifically for stratagem inputs. Coded all the macros myself and it's generated some funny dialogue between me and my friends calling out things like "Bridge, Napalm Barrage!" or sillier ones like "Deploy the Spaceballs Kid's Toy" (it's for the flamethrower for those of you with confused looks on your faces)
Making your own profiles can seem daunting at first, but like most things that have an enormous amount of options you just have to trudge through it and learn the system. Once you get it, you get it.
Having made previous attempts with other voice programs I was a bit skeptical until I saw how this functioned in a game like Helldivers 2. Then I realized just how powerful this tool is for so many other games and other tasks. Easily one of the best purchases I have ever made on the Steam store!!!
An indispensable tool that can turn good games into great ones. Slap in some voice packs and you can have an entirely new experience.
I use it all the time for Elite Dangerous but Steam think I've only used it for 20 minutes. But seriously one of the best investments.

I have given this a whirl. There may be some tweaking that I could do but as it is this is more of a hindrance for what I wanted to use it for. I was wanting to use it for some key presses that I normally have to look for to press but it isn't fast enough. It seems like a second delay on activation.
I'll still recommend it because it is handy for most things, just not what I wanted it for.
