Легендарный российский космический симулятор из 90-х возвращается!Parkan по-настоящему масштабная игра, в которой игроку предлагается путешествовать по случайно сгенерированному космосу и прокладывать собственный путь между звездами.
4097 год со дня основания колонии Лентис. Заброшенный сектор Галактики. Вы – пилот имперского истребителя Parkan, приписанного к базе патруля Аргус, ваш корабль беспомощно дрейфует вокруг неизвестного солнца. Основная задача: разыскать звездолет Службы Изысканий, растворившийся в вакууме сектора Лентис, выяснить, что с ним случилось и вернуться обратно на базу.
Задача будет не из простых: для начала нужно восстановить способность корабля к межзвездным перелетам и обеспечить его топливом. Нужно вооружить корабль, установить систему навигации и создать эскадрилью вспомогательных кораблей-дронов. В процессе придется повстречаться с аборигенами с далеких планет, дать бой местным пиратам, почувствовать себя в роли купца или наемника, выйти невредимым из многочисленных стычек, колонизировать далекие планеты, а возможно, даже основать собственный клан. Цель известна, но как вы доберетесь к ней – зависит исключительно от вас!

It seems like a lot of Russian kids enjoyed playing this game with their babushka's back in the day, but for me its completely inscrutable. It plays like a weird mix of Colony Wars and Marathon, only nothing works the way it's supposed to. Your ship is super slow and it is impossible to hit anything before you either die or run out of ammo.
To start the game, some robot guy asks me to dock to his ship, but once I do so and find him, he asks me to leave. There's a computer that says there's something on the "third planet," but the third planet relative to what? Most of the game is empty space; I found a planet and apparently landed on it, but the door was broken and I couldn't go any farther. And the manual is complete gibberish. I'm glad I payed almost nothing for this game...
I spent a lot of hours in this as a child, still having great time while playing it now.
Core gameplay is about colonising planets (to get resources), completing missions fighting pirates and searching for better equipment.
Pros:
- replayability thanks to randomly generated environment
- simple, but fun gameplay
- runs on Windows 10
Cons:
- lack of story (in-game), I heard it exists outside of a game, but I couldnt find it. Without it you have no idea why you do what you do: find this (why?) -> find bad guy (what did he do?) -> kill him.
- lack of tutorials
- terrible keybindings
- technical issues: issue with music (solution in Discussions), I had to edit file to change keybindings, bugged ending (I almost couldnt finish the game). Too much googling needed to solve this issues.

I just played this game for the first time recently, and I finished it just minutes ago. It is GREAT! You get to fly and fight in an advanced fighter ship, use drones to even the odds when outnumbered, and you can also board other ships, space stations, and planet bases to fight in FPS mode. You can even colonize planets!
It did take me about two days to learn how to play it, since there is no tutorial. There is an English language manual in the game directory, but it is kind of hard to read due to translation issues. Once I got the hang of it, though, it was unlike anything else I've ever played.
You're in a far- flung sector of the galaxy, where you are ordered to find a lost space ship called the Wanderer. To find it you will need to jump around to various sectors and follow the clues. However, this requires jump fuel, which leads you to your first obstacle: finding fuel.
The most efficient way to get fuel is to colonize a planet and mine it for yourself. Aside from mines, you can also build a plant which can produce resources (missiles, drones, etc) and build ships for defending your planet from pirates. Fuel is your only currency in this game, so manage it wisely.
A lot of the game centers around obtaining fuel to further the main plot, and the main plot is really interesting in my humble opinion. I think this game is really worth it.
OMG, this the best of the best. Instantly teleports me to the time when I had a PC with a "TURBO" switch on it. Ah almost 20 years ago!

I guess I am the first to review this product. I haven't really played it much but I am thrilled to find this available on steam. I have looked for it since I bought Parkan 2. Great game if you like old school space games and don't mind the russian voices. I believe this game had a lot of unique features (more common now) at the time of its release
