YOU CAN CHANGE DIRECTION BY SWIPING YOUR LEFT CONTROLLER'S TOUCH PAD
Aside from what is advertised, game does not work on wands or Index due to an impossibility with swiping touchpad, which means it is impossible to progress past the tutorial.
I am having trouble with the "swipe" directional control during the freaking tutorial!!!!! IT DOESN'T WORK - AT ALL. also, there is no menu for brightness, etc. "I don't even care about that.... the game is broken and left for dead.
Can somebody help me out with?? It's driving me nutso.

The game is cute, but way too short (around 1h). The end teases about a chapter 2, and it seems they wanted to publish a total of 5 chapters in the game, but there is no news since more than one year so I'm guessing the project died somehow...
(Ignore my play time, that was actually a lot more)
The story, though pretty short and simple, is something you should experience and discover yourself.
But i should also talk about the gameplay. This is probably the weakest part of the game. Or maybe not. Really, it depends on what you expect from the it. The puzzles are simple, and it's more about finding the pieces than putting them together. The rooms are varied, and nothing feels cheap.
Finishing the first (and currently only) chapter takes about 40-60 minutes.
But what made this game so special for me is how it feels.
I can't quite put it into words, but everything is just so... warm. And it made me happy. So happy that i replayed it at least two times. And i really hope the second chapter comes out soon.
I don't know if this game will have the same effect on you, but it's worth trying out.
Awsome game. Cute graphics, great voice acting, fun puzzles.
Only negativ is thats it really short. about 1.5 hours

Great puzzles thus far. Girlfriend absolutely loves the game, and is mesmorized by the beauty and depth of the game.
A fun and entertaining VR experience. The puzzles are very clever; they generally pose a simple challenge, but are varied enough as to not be boring. The game has a air of mystery that makes me hope for a continuation, and the graphics are bright, colorful, and whimsical. The music adds to the overall flavor of the game, and I recommend giving it a try.
Tricky one - worth picking up on sale but the lack of content leaves a bitter taste in your mouth! The puzzles are great, the graphics are great, the narration is decent enough and doesn't pull you out of the world - I really really enjoyed it! BUT 50mins playtime to get to "Chapter Two" (I was totally hyped to get onto the next levels) which was just a fakeout for the end credits is a harsh way to end any fun game time.
This was my first full VR game purchase. That said, the game does currently only have one chapter. That one chapter was fantastic, though. The bright colors really come together with the rooms to really make you feel like you're doing something magical. Interacting with the surroundings works really well and the hat is an interesting character that I want more story from.
The developers are planning on bringing in the second chapter sometime soon as well as some more puzzles for chapter one. And I hope it really does come soon because the rooms all lead into it really well.
Overall, fun and magical puzzle game that currently has about an hour and a half playtime. For the sale price it's a buy. Maybe wait a little for more content at full price. Either way, you won't be disappointed.
This is one of my first VR titles, and it's what I was hoping the experience would be. Manipulating objects to solve puzzles in an immersive room - looking under and behind things just to be sure I didn't miss something. The puzzles aren't really difficult, and there are plenty of clues from the narrator if he feels like you're taking a while.
That 2 hours on my play record is for real - start to finish, so I'd recommend picking it up on sale.
Forgotten Chambers is a fun little puzzle game. The puzzles aren't too difficult, but also aren't always obvious for their solution. I accidentally figured one out by getting frustrated and tossing an item and...hey, something happened! Don't be afraid to throw things. ;-)
The game is very well made: nice atmosphere, graphics, and sound. I played on the Vive and the VR controls are intuitive and easy to use. My only problem with the game is the disembodied voice that gives you hints: sometimes the hints made absolutely no sense because I'd already solved the puzzle it's giving me a hint for. I'd have preferred hints not be automatic and instead have a "Help" spell so we can choose when to get a hint. But that's a minor quibble for an otherwise solid game.
As other reviewers said, the game is short. I finished the game in 80 minutes, so the listed price of $19.99 seems high, but I got it on sale for $11.99, and I feel that was fair for the length and content.
beautiful
This is the most beautiful game I ever played in VR. The graphics had a warm and magical atmosphere. The best part of this game was that I could use magic to move things around. And above all, I could change the entirer room with a single touch of magic. I have played it for half on hour and so far I highly recommend it.
I think the best part of this game is the full on room changing visual effects. It can be quite stunning to be in VR and have the whole room change, and that is where I think this game has gotten it right. Even my wife who is not really a gamer really likes it because of the nice visual effects.
My one dislike of this game was the length of the content. At the time of this post I was able to get through all the content in about 1 1/2 hours. it looks like it might be setup for more content but just isn't implamented yet.
Over all this was a great game
Beautiful escaping room with various puzzles. Definitely recommend.
What games we call good game? Skipping many criteria, I would call it good if I enjoyed even though not my genre. Moreover if it makes me love that genre, it would be a Great.
Forgotten Chambers was in somewhere between them for me. Did not like room escape, never interested in VR. But, after played this game, I started to think VR headsets may worth buying.
As you can see, it has beautiful scenes and great atmosphere. You will experience fantastic with VR. Someone who focus only solving puzzles, may feel the game is too short. However, if you enjoy looking around and playing with objects, it would be not much short.
Strongly recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful magical adventure and/or a light puzzling experience.
This is a wonderfully charming and polished adventure that can take up to 2 hours depending on the speed in which you move through each segmented area. It's definitely the most magical experience I've felt in VR and may have easily become my Mum's personal favorite even if it was short.
Though given the quality of the experience any time would have been too short.
I really hope that more people find this because a second chapter as teased at the end of this would be incredible.
+ Beautiful, magical and always engaging in a charming way.
- If you're looking for tough puzzles and mind benders without caring about flare, this likely isn't for you as the 'puzzles' were more about the experience than trying to challenge you, but that also made each one easily accessible.
Nice looking puzzle game with Vanishing Realms style graphics. Colorful and imaginative effects and transitions as you progress from room to room with increasingly difficult puzzles.
I got a little bit of stuttering with 1080 at 1.5SS but this isn't a graphically demanding game. There's a handy tutorial and good voice acting from Samuel the hat with hints if you appear stumped.
Great game! Puzzles are a lot of fun, not terribly difficult but not boring either. Story is pretty cool. I love that you get hints from Samuel so that you're not wandering in circles trying to figure out what to do next. I find that many developers leave out any sort of real tutorials in VR games! Very well done environment. Pretty short right now...took 2 hours with some walking about checking things out. Hoping there will be more chapters added soon.
very cool fantasy experience, loved solving the puzzles
