good game, the 6 digit code box was very difficult to enter the numbers into and the game doesnt appear to be anything to do with alcatraz but an enjoyable 35mins
Not sa bad experience and it was my first escape room on VR. Bit clunky in the controls on the index but when its cheap its a good way to fill in an hour
This is ok for what it is. If you are really new to escape rooms, this might be a good start. Difficulty level is really low. It is somewhat polished although very short.
+ Polished game, no collision or lost item issues like a lot of others
+ Good for beginners in the genre
- Way too short for the price
- All of the puzzles except 1 were far too easy
- The ending makes no sense at all and i actually thought the game crashed, but i won?
+Fun
+Nice little escape room
+/- Price
-Way too easy
-Short
-"To Be Continued" Feels like an excuse to end game early
2/5
Great Escape room, but i wouldn't pay half of the price for it, it feels like the "To Be Continued" was made because they ran out of ideas for the escape.

It's OK game, it's pretty basic. But it's good nonthe less. 7/10. A bit challanging. But not too much, basically it's an escape room.
We (me and my wife) gave it a try and first trial the game froze.
The second time we almost made it! Missed by a few seconds.
Finaly made it to the end the only thing we didn't do on the second trial is the last action to do. But I can't tell what it is.
We love these games and found this one pretty good.
The negative point is the controler is not friendly user trigger and grip are opposite to other games we have played.
Maximum of one hour to escape.
I wouldn't recommend this game in a current state. There are many bugs that need to be fixed like objects falling through each other, almost impossible to pick something from a drawer. And the worst showstopper is that sometimes quest items are teleported outside the window and it's impossible to take them back into the room.
These escape games are fast becoming my favourites in the VR lineup. This was really interesting but not as immersive as some of the others (e.g. Belko Experiment, Vacate The Room, etc).
It's still well worth playing, although my headset glitched a couple of times with this game (and with no others).
Fun!
I enjoyed this game, though I got the impression that the really interesting part of the story occurs directly after the game ends. The ending kinda hinted at a sequel or continuation, which I would be interested in seeing.
Took me about 45 minutes and I used one hint.
£4 for 45 minutes of entertainment.
The game is reasonably well made, although interaction with some items was difficult or unintuitive.
Not worth a replay once complete but you can challenge mates to beat your time I guess.
I love escape room games, and yet somehow I can't give this game the thumbs up. The puzzles aren't particularly "fun". Some are tedious, such as morse code , and often the obvious thing to do (such as melting the ice on the screwdriver - in real life one would just smash that ice off with the hammer } can't be done and instead some elaborate puzzle needs to be solved instead. It does have a hint system, but it's not a good hint system. The hint system tells you exactly what you need to do, which takes away the fun, whereas a good hint system would just give a clue to prod you in the right direction.
Great game. I played it with two other people (I was in VR and the others spectated and helped). It was amazing for all of us :-)
We need more of this kind of games!
The price is a little bit too high. In my option 3€ would be a good deal, because you can play it only once - like the most escape room games.
Sometimes the text messages were hard to read in VR, but that is caused by the resolution of the HTC Vive. By the way: The two other could read everything clearly on the monitor and helped me out ;-)
Good little which took me a few attempts to complete but once I got my head around it I was away! Would be good if this was expanded to the rest of the house to increase play length. Definitely worth the price though.
Awesome escape room.
I have gone to do real escape rooms a couple of times, and this lives up to the immersion of actually being there. I was able to finish it on my first run through, but I snagged this game on sale, so I'm not upset by the shortness of it.
I would certainly use this Escape room to showcase my VR set to friends.
The immersion is wonderful, I found myself almost putting my hands on the virtual bed, to try to help stand up, once I'd knelt on the floor, before realising that wouldn't help.
If I were to be picky about 1 thing, it would be that you have the ability to walk through the walls, I have noticed some other games are starting to put in some collision detection between your headset and the "walls" in the game, so that if you stick your head through a wall, it will spit you back, or it will just have a fog in front of you so you can't see anything that you maybe aren't supposed to.
All in all, I would certainly suggest it to friends. (already have).
It's a nice little escape room. The puzzles are not too easy and not too hard. Beat it in around 45min. The game has also a timelimit of 1h.
It's definitely worth the money, but could be a bit longer/multiple rooms.
This is a nice one, a bit too short but value for the money. Few clipping issues and you can get rid of necessary objects by accident. Took about 45min to complete, ending was quite meh...
Ok first off this game was kinda hard no joke it took me an my brother almost 2 hours to complete this game. We had to ask the devs over facebook on how to beat the game I would buy this game if you like escape games hope later on they release more rooms of the house! thanks @OrginsVR for helping me finish the game I must be kinda dumb
Loved the game. Couple times through now with friends and family and sometimes the keys get stuck outside the window before it's unlocked. Hopefully there's a fix for this glitch. Super fun though. Ready for the next update.
This was probably the most solid escape room experience for VR I've had yet. It was a lot of fun and there were many puzzles that added to the challenge of the game.
The ending was a bit meh, but it does allow for sequels to be added so I commend them for that.
Escape Room: Alcatraz is yet another escape room to come to the Vive, but it's a pretty good one. It has a few frustrations, like the telescope being upside-down for some reason, and it seems like there's more to the game than what's playable (if you move your head through the walls you can clearly see things like a fully decorated bathroom and a hallway, but you never access or even see them, which seems bad for optimization), but you still get a fairly nice escape room at a fairly low price.
Recently got addicted to Escape the Room games, thanks to VR. Loved the game. A few of the puzzles had me scratching my head for a bit. Was a lot of fun and im excited for the next chapter. Took about 30-45min to beat. Similar to Abode in length
