its like when the oven starts to fuck the bedside crockpot after the when it did while it was how never before after the now when the chameleon decides to whether the how of many then
this game is so fun you can build stuff and do mission and its gust so fun i recommend it
This is a great game, and it has buttons, which i love. Try it, Its great! :D
Its is an amazing game but has lots of glitches. would still recommend though
It's just so fun and enjoyable, there is never a short of things to do and watching your builds work is so rewarding.
Its great for creative people who have a lot of Time on their hand. It takes sometime to get used to the systems and how everything works but in the end you can create every vehicle you dream up. I started playing this after i played Trailmakers because Trailmakers Editor was to basic for me and was missing alot of features that you can find in Stormworks. I would recommend this especially to people who have played similar games before like scrap mechanic and Trailmakers.
Хороша игра.
Очень интересные миссии
Игра затягивает
Особенно с модами.
It's a little confusing at first ,but it's a great game! Also, I've played it so much.
Flyout but pixilated. in other words im going to spend 60 hours on a boat
fun to play with friends and can do a lot of things so it is definitly worth the money to get it
It might not be the best game out there but it's still fun. For lower end devices I do reccommend low settings. (Sorry if my English is not good I don't speak fluent English)
Amazing, at the time of writing, it costs something like £12, but its an amazing little game, the graphics are good, but not meant to be realistic. The missions are enjoyable but my personal favourite thing to do is use the weapons dlc to build weapons of mass destruction on a higher level than project sundial
10/10 (get the weapons dlc)
It's amazing how good this game is. If you like building things then get this game
This game is one of my favs by a mile because of all the fun and coll updates to the game. My personal fav is the new moding.
11/10 game
so much detail but so easy!
i have no words for how much i love this game!!!
this game is just so GOOD for sinking ships (especially on multiplayer)
Just super clunky, hard to even get to the point where you can even run any missions. Then good luck operating the equipment needed to complete the mission. Forget bout running anything with a crew. Probably cool if you have tons and tons of hours to dedicate, but so far nothing is working out for me.
This game is very fun to play with friends and you can spend hours on just dipping your toes into building planes and cars in this game. Amazing!
There are some positives, I'll say that much:
- This game reminds me of the best parts of Sim Copter (1996).
- It's a very cool mix of ideas, making for good game play.
- What I played of it, I could see a fun game under the problems that I've seen.
However, this game feels like it reached a point where the developers reached a point where it was easier to tack on add-ons in the form of DLC to make a quick dollar rather than address noticeable problems.
Firstly, I found the user interface and controls were lacking.
It feels like they went out of their way to create a very interesting game, but didn't stop to think of ease of use or even care for looking stylish with a decent set of menus.
The English in this seems very so-so, if the devs are people who speak English as a second language; that's very forgivable.
Starting the game and seeing your rescue boat filled with water, leaves a bad impression; I wasn't sure if it was damaged and sinking or if the games water physics are broken.
I am sure that a lot of people find it fantastic, my hat is off to them; however, the vehicle modification and building system seems very poor.
It pains me to both request a refund and write a poor review, because this game is so clearly a labour of love but it's clear the devs have given up with improvements when they can just sell content.
Yes, Stormworks is a good game base or not, It is inclusive, multiplayer is easy to operate and over all a good game for having fun and letting your creativity flow, it is especially fun with the weapons DLC (don't have the space DLC so I can't rate it) because it adds enemies and capture points so you can capture islands, control rain, fog, and time of day, I have played this game a lot(208 hours and counting) and I would say its 5/5 stars if I could rate it more than a yes or no. I say you, yes YOU should get and play this game.(Its better with family but it does get more laggy in multiplayer)
its good but you have to play for a bit to understand the mechanics
Don't play this game if you don't like spending most of your time looking out at the ocean between rescues
Experiencing frequent crashes, along with that it keeps putting me in windowed mode at very low resolution
this is for someone who wants to build and carpet bomb a island at the same time
would reccomend
it is a great game that is fun and interactive best to play wit
i love the freedom of the game. I only play creative but even then I have sooo much fun playing.
I love this game played alot made some banger builds and im getting a new pc so now ill have fps (i had like 4-10) lol
great game, fun, realistic, all of the important parts were nailed in my opinion!
if you like games with linear storylines, this game is not for you. if you like games where you get to build things like engines, planes, cars, and intricate vehicle things, this game is for you! the game is kinda hard, but it's very rewarding too!
crash physics arnt good overall really good game
Good if you like building vehicles. could use a bit of optimization though
so fun. learning curve is tough but can be greatly softed by tutorials :D
This game has given me a great experience, not as great as Teardown was but it gives me the somewhat temporary filling for vehicle destruction. I have played this game mainly for sinking ship and might I say the experience with it has truly been fun. The vehicles I have used are not as complicated as I thought and it feels like I am a real captain. I want to thank Stormworks for giving me another great gaming experience and I hope to experience it on a greater level when I upgrade to an actual PC. I end this review with the few words, A great gaming experience
With 15 hours in Stormworks: Build and Rescue, I can say it’s a game packed with potential, especially if you enjoy building complex machines and vehicles while tackling rescue missions. The game gives you an impressive sandbox to design, create, and pilot your own boats, planes, helicopters, and other vehicles in a dynamic and often unpredictable environment. There’s a unique satisfaction in seeing a vehicle you’ve meticulously built actually function in the way you envisioned. However, much like other sandbox games of its kind, once the initial novelty wears off, it starts to feel repetitive, and the excitement fades quicker than expected.
At its core, Stormworks offers two main elements: building and rescuing. The building system is both its biggest strength and its most intimidating feature. It’s incredibly detailed, offering a ridiculous amount of freedom to design anything from small boats to massive cargo planes. If you love games like Kerbal Space Program or Scrap Mechanic, the complexity of Stormworks will feel right up your alley. Every component—engines, electrical systems, fuel lines, and control surfaces—needs to be carefully considered, and it can be deeply rewarding when you create something that works perfectly.
The physics-based challenges add another layer of fun. You’re not just building vehicles for the sake of it; you’re using them to complete missions that often involve harsh weather conditions, stormy seas, or technical rescues. The storms and dynamic weather system are particularly impressive. Navigating rough seas in a custom-built boat or trying to land a helicopter in heavy winds feels tense and exciting. It’s in these moments that Stormworks shines, and you get a sense of accomplishment from mastering the challenges the game throws at you.
However, where Stormworks struggles is in keeping the gameplay loop engaging for long stretches of time. After building and testing a few vehicles, the missions themselves start to feel repetitive. While the weather and physics can throw curveballs your way, the objectives rarely feel diverse enough to keep you hooked. You rescue someone, transport cargo, or put out a fire, but these tasks quickly start to blend together. If you’re not someone who enjoys spending hours perfecting the building side of the game, the mission variety might not be enough to hold your attention.
The complexity of the building system can also be overwhelming at times. While it’s incredibly powerful, it’s not always user-friendly, especially for newcomers. Creating a functional vehicle requires a lot of trial and error, and the learning curve can be steep. If you’re not patient or don’t enjoy the tinkering process, it’s easy to feel frustrated. For those who prefer to jump into the action right away, Stormworks doesn’t always cater to that kind of experience.
In my 15 hours, I had a good time building some basic boats and helicopters and testing them out in the sandbox world. The first few successful missions were satisfying, and the dynamic weather added a lot of atmosphere to the game. But as I played more, I found myself running out of motivation to keep going. Once you’ve built a few vehicles and completed some missions, the sense of progression slows down, and the game starts to feel a bit like “more of the same.” The sandbox can only carry the experience so far before it feels repetitive.
Mods and the community content do add value, though, and for players who really love tinkering with builds and exploring other people’s creations, Stormworks has a lot to offer. You can find incredibly detailed vehicles and scenarios that push the limits of what the game’s systems are capable of. It’s just that for me, after spending time experimenting and trying out the base game’s content, I felt like I had seen most of what it had to offer.
Overall, Stormworks: Build and Rescue is an impressive game with deep systems and a lot of creative potential. If you’re the type of player who loves spending hours designing complex vehicles and testing them in challenging environments, it’s a fantastic sandbox to dive into. The physics, weather, and building mechanics are top-notch. But for someone like me, who enjoys a balance between building and gameplay, the repetition sets in faster than I’d like. It’s a fun game to experiment with, and I enjoyed my 15 hours, but I don’t see myself putting hundreds more into it. It’s the kind of game you pick up when you’re in the mood for creativity, but it doesn’t quite hook you for the long haul.
8/10.
I've been diving deep into Stormworks: Build and Rescue for several months now, and it's quickly become one of my all-time favorite games. The building system is super detailed, letting you design and construct all sorts of vehicles, from boats and ships to helicopters and airplanes. The building systems gives you the freedom to create anything you want from inpractical to practical.
The game's physics, Im very impressed. Every vehicle you build has to follow the laws of physics, which means you need to think about buoyancy, weight distribution, and aerodynamics. This makes the game feel more realistic and makes the building process both tough and soooo satisfying. ex: if you’re designing a boat you need to make sure it’s stable in the water and can handle rough seas. Similarly, when creating an aircraft, you need to balance lift, thrust, and control surfaces to achieve stable flight. Its very difficult but i recommend starting small and working your way towards bigger and better things.
One of the coolest aspects of the game (IMO) is the electrical and logic systems. You can wire up your creations with all sorts of components like engines, sensors, and control panels. This allows for complex automation and control schemes, making your vehicles not just functional but also very efficient. ex: you can set up automated systems for starting engines, controlling lights, or even managing fuel consumption.
The mission mechanics are just as cool. The game offers a wide range of rescue missions that test your creations in various scenarios. You might find yourself rescuing stranded sailors, fighting fires on oil rigs, or carrying out search-and-rescue missions in harsh, stormy conditions. Each task demands careful planning, precise execution, and a well-equipped vehicle built to tackle the challenge.
Multiplayer mode is a great addition, allowing you to team up with friends for challenging missions. This cooperative gameplay introduces a strategic element, where you can divide tasks and tackle different parts of the mission together. The community is also highly engaged, offering a wealth of user-generated content and mods that keep the game feeling fresh and exciting. You can download new vehicle designs, missions, and even entire islands to explore.
The developers consistently update the game, adding new features and improvements driven by player feedback. This ongoing support helps Stormworks continually evolve and grow. The graphics are stunning, featuring detailed environments and realistic weather effects that elevate the immersive experience.
In conclusion, *Stormworks: Build and Rescue* has amazing mechanics, delivering a fun and rewarding experience for those who enjoy engineering, creativity, and adventure. The mix of detailed building systems, realistic physics, and tough missions makes it a standout game that I highly recommend to anyone looking who wants to spend hours playing and building new things. Also creative is fun because you can make bunkers, tsunami ships and alot more. Thank you for taking the time to read ths:).
good game for people who like complex builds however you can go on the work shop and find rely good builds
This game has very complex mechanics, but is worth it if you like blowing stuff up and operating all types of vehicles
In my opinion it is a very great its just that, the game requiers a Nasa supercomputer to run above like 20 - 30 fps - Devs please please PLEASE optomize the game.
Its the best game of its kind but it is by no means good. Multiplayer is unusable.
Good game. Still waiting for the ability to connect fuel tanks to each other though.
because its so fun! drive boats space rockets ill give this game a rating of 10 out 100000000000000000
!
VERY difficult game. building vehicles in this game is 10x more difficult than sproket, scrap mechanic, or trailmakers. Having room for thousands of ideas and being autism specialism for people loving weapons/vehicles. 10/10
I like this game it fun and lets your creativity shine. Note that there is a lot of technical things involved.
Fun for realistic sinking ship survivals with all the physics you ever need and the tools for all of the fun. And much more to do. I recommend it for Sinking ship survivals most of all.
If you like ship simulator 2008, Microsoft Train simulator, the old Helicopter search and rescue simulators,....etc, StormWorks has taking all that code and combined it with Tonka trucks meets Lego Land. There is a lot do do here. If you got a Barbie for Christmas and your brother got a firetruck....well, here you get all the firetrucks medivac you can phathom. But, beaware....the gas and liquid update and rendered steam, underwater diving, and many other mods unplayable or brainfarted. Ask for a discount until it is fixed.
hey guys i have this real cool game that i think you would love, but i will need to teach you a few things like how to spawn a boats/cars/planes or even a sub or a blimp or a rocket there are 3 steps 1st step go to work bench then 2nd step press escape then use steam workshop then type what you want then click the search icon then click what you would like then click subscribe then back to work bench then click load and then your object will appear 3rd step click spawn. learn more on youtube when you get in the game click custum then start
this game is my absolute favorite building game as it's simple for those who just want to do smaller things but it's also just so much stuff that you can make some really cool and interesting things. and THE LIGHTING! unlike most other games like this it has really good weather and lighting so it looks great in storms and in the night.
9/10 could use with some sort of guide and some more destruction elements but other than that brilliant
I just started playing not to long ago but my god this game is really fun. You can do basically anything with the right workshop mods and building vehicles is fun to can be a little complicated (I'm watching tutorials on it) but it is still really fun.
hype, gets boring, mods are good tho, multiplayer sucks.
