You are having nightmares about what happened years ago at Sullivan River Summer Camp. On advice of your psychologist, you return to the scene of the nightmare and face your fears. The camp is now closed and in a dilapidated state which makes a creepy environment for this game.
It is a very short game....took just over 5 hours for both main game and bonus chapter. So buy on sale.
You have a map which teleports but doesn't state if there is activity required there. Graphics were suitable for the theme, so they are quite toned down. I personally found it bland, but others will enjoy the creepiness. Story was ok, but got convoluted at times, as I got confused who was what. The journal was very helpful explaining things. Music and sound effects were well done and added to the ghostly feeling.
There are no bugs. Two of the trophies didn't open for me despite me achieving the objectives, but that is a minor quibble.
HO scenes were well done. Puzzles ranged from easy to difficult.
Putting aside my dislike for creepy games, this is a pretty average game. Others will love the ghostly atmosphere, but I got bored after a while. Very little replay value. Meh..6/10
no bad
This game would be a fairly decent hidden object game if it had bugs fixed that prevent progress and obtaining trophies.
The graphics of the cutscenes are low quality still pictures, but the simple story is still intriguing.
I like how instead of just finding items from a list, you are actually exploring - opening items that need items to unlock it's prize. The items needed are from the various places you've already visited.
Before you start the game, you can select a difficulty level for how much help you'd like to receive. Whatever difficulty level you chose, there is a step-be-step guide included, which is especially helpful at the puzzles. The puzzles have no direction as to the final goal to know the objective. You also can earn badges/trophies for puzzle/object accomplishments.
Pros:
-Increasing complexity in puzzle/object collection
-Included step by step walk through guide with photos - no watching youtube or reading forums
-Hint button for which you can use or not use - it's recharge rate is in the game difficulty choices
-Collectible trophies & artwork (found in the game)
-More than one player can have a "save" and player is easy to switch
-Low computer system requirements
-Play in windowed mode and do two things at once
-Ability to skip puzzles
-Only a mouse is needed for gameplay
Cons
-Low quality cutscenes
-No "undo" option for a puzzle, and often no "reset" option to use when you discover the puzzles objective; however the puzzles seems to reset when you fail or are out of moves.
-No tip for the goal of a puzzle
-Some puzzle pieces turn "dark" when placed correctly, increasing the difficulty of picture/color solving
-To replay the game, you have to play as a new player name apparently
-Attempts at jump scares, still child appropriate
-Some of the click zones are very large while some of the click zones to use objects are very tiny and sensitive to unlock
-The trophy to find 3 items in 3 seconds wouldn't unlock for me although achieved multiple times
-The trophy for completing a HOP with no incorrect clicks did not unlock for me
-A HOB didn't activate for me, preventing progress; no steps missed according to the guide and following the "hint" button lead me in circles to different map areas with nothing to solve. After entering and exiting the area 5-6 times, the HOB suddenly activated for me when I had done nothing different.
-2 of the guide steps did not match my game
This is definitely a purchase on sale with expectations of problems completing the game that may require a restart.

The Game Review
Game Visuals
I want to mention that the visual for the game is nicely done. The visuals can be adjusted in the game's option menu.
Game Audio
I want to mention that audio for the game is well done. Even though the audio is somewhat simplistic and repetitive. The audio can be adjusted in the game's option menu as well.
Gameplay
There are three different game difficulty modes to choose from: Casual; Advanced and Hard.
The notebook keeps track of the progression in the game. Such as story events and clues.
There is an interactive map in the game. It allows the player to fast travel between each location quickly. It also indicates that there are certain tasks that need to be completed at certain locations within the game. The interactive map is not automatically given at the start of the game.
There is no padlock feature that is available to lock the inventory panel in place. The inventory panel is stationary.
The hidden object scenes consist of the following: Traditional word lists. Some of these hidden object scenes may require little or no interaction.
The puzzles are fairly easy to solve without having the need to skip any of them.
Since this is a collector's edition game, there is a bonus chapter, but it can be accessed only after the main story is completed.
Miscellaneous
There are extra features in the game: Bonus Chapter; Game Strategy Guide; Soundtracks; Concept Art and Wallpapers. Most of these extra features can be accessed only after the entire game is completed.
Final thoughts: I have found the game enjoyable to a certain extent. The replay value for the game is low. I recommend this game, but not at the game's full price value.
