relaxing - it does its job well, though some puzzles were sooo tricky.
About the Game;
Under Leaves is a color-filled hidden object game from the world of animals.
It is made with beautiful hand-drawn watercolor illustrations and a fitting soundscape make for a gently experience.
Every time you clear a level the map slightly changes, helping in the small rise in difficulty.
This style is simple but can keep you easily entertained.
The hunt for the last object can be frustrating, but there is a clue/help feature built in.
The sound in the puzzles is fitting and enjoyable.
The music in the menu/worldmap is a bit loud compared to the rest of the game.
And there is a downside in the game for me, there is no option to lower the volume or turn of the music in the game.
This puzzle game is amazing to do while enjoying a podcast or something similar, but impossible to mute.
The game is very enjoyable and although it might be difficult at time it is still very fitting for younger players.
For those that care about the Steam Achievements;
Number of Achievements : 29 Steam achievements, 28 for each level and 1 for overall
Offline / Online : 29 / 0
Easiness of getting : 4/5, mainly because of the "Under the Leaves" Achievement.
Rough time estimate : Less then 3 hours.
Any particular difficulties : For 100% completion you can't use the help option.
Overall : It is a short and fast real game to get 100% in the Achievements.
There is no real guide to follow, as the objects have many spots to spawn in.
With the help option you can fly through the levels and 28 out 29 in a short time.
For the "Under the Leaves" achievement you need to complete the game without the help function. So either a reset, or from the start don't use the help option. It is still easily doable in less then 3 hours.
For those that care about the Steam Trading Cards;
Number of cards : Under Leaves has 5 Trading Cards.
How quick are they unlocking : Quite fast, less then 2 hours for the 3 cards.
Quality of Art style : The art style of the trading cards is screenshots from the actual game.
Quality of Badges : Low, the Fox is the badge, but each level has a few more details/items.
Availability of Trading Cards on the Market : At time of writing the availability varies between 30 and 60 cards.
The cards are cheap, range between 0,09 and 0,20 euros.
Overall : 4/5
You get the first 3 cards fast, and for your first badge you only need 2 more.
These are easy available and cheap on the market, but a boosterpack costs 1200 gems.
My 4 and 3/4 year old son likes it.
Under Leaves is a stunning hidden object game with peaceful vibes and challenging levels. Each scene, dominated by a single color, immerses you in the world of animals. From forests to the deep sea, the game offers a delightful hunt for items like chestnuts and starfish. The simple yet effective art style enhances the experience, making it a colorful joy for players seeking a tranquil adventure.
Simple, relaxing. Beautiful graphics and enchanting music.
f you're seeking a game that delivers a fresh experience every time you play, look no further. Each play-through feels unique, offering a delightful variety that keeps the game exciting and engaging.
One of the standout features is the cozy atmosphere it creates. The sounds adapt to the regions you're exploring, wrapping you in a soundscape that's perfectly tailored to each environment. It's a masterclass in immersive audio design, making your adventures all the more enchanting.
This game isn't just about the thrill of discovery; it's also a haven for relaxation. The gentle gameplay and soothing sounds make it an ideal choice for unwinding after a long day. Whether you're navigating new terrains or simply soaking in the ambiance, you'll find it a wonderfully calming experience.
In summary, this game combines dynamic gameplay with a serene atmosphere, making it a perfect escape for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some peaceful gaming moments.
Under Leaves starts off as a relaxing hidden object game, but some of the later levels can be pretty challenging because the objects really blend in with the colors and the environment.
Out of the 29 levels, I would say 7 are challenging and 3 are frustrating. The other 19 levels you can just chill to the music and enjoy the art :)
Neutral review.
This started out as fun and enjoyable to play, but the levels got progressively harder and frustrating.
I play a lot of these types of games and enjoy a challenge but this became tedious.
Many of the items blend in so well that that it can become a pixel hunt.
Not good for anyone with eyesight issues.
Nice colourful graphics which is why I'm not giving a thumbs down.
Would have been better to make the items a bit more obvious and have some information about each animal on level completion. It could then be played as a learning experience.
a very educational game with lots of different animals, habitats, and names. my favorite thing about it was that the color scheme was very relaxing and cozy to look at. this game was actually a little harder than most searching games i have played; but i enjoyed it regardless of how much time it took me because the background noise and the colors were very cozy and easy going. the art style kind of reminds me of a game called "Mizi NO!"
this game would be perfect to relax to or for younger people to learn about different species, in what habitat they live in, what different species eat, who also might live around them, and each one has a scientific name to them!
also, the turtle up in the tree from one of the levels, reminded me of tiddles the tortoise from peppa pig, haha!!(if you know, you know)
Fairly challenging hidden object game, especially if color-challenged like me. ~70 - 100 minutes if no hints are used.
🦊Under Leaves Review 🍂
I thoroughly enjoyed playing Under Leaves! The artwork is absolutely beautiful, and I loved helping the various animals find hidden objects. The game features pretty little sounds and music, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere, while still offering a satisfying challenge on some levels. The underwater scenes were my favourite—I adore sea creatures!
I played through the entire game without using the "hint" tool to earn the achievements. Once I completed it, I tried the hint feature just to see how it worked, and I was delighted to find it included a simple extra puzzle. That was a nice touch!
One thing I did notice was that the game was quite loud, but unfortunately, there were no in-game settings to adjust the volume. I had to lower it using my PC’s sound settings instead.
Overall, it’s a wonderful little game, especially for fans of hidden object games.
Happy searching, friends! 🔍

fun relaxing game to play over and over. Pretty to look at and challenging without being super hard.
Under Leaves is a beautiful, yet challenging, hidden object game that features various animals in their natural habitat. It's very peaceful, but some levels can really test the player's patience as far as difficulty goes. I realized that I really struggled with the yellow scenes, in particular, so it was interesting to see how a simple change of color could affect the difficulty so much. I did enjoy my overall experience, but I would've loved a way to adjust/mute the volume (the audio was just too loud at times). If you love hidden object games and want something different, this can definitely scratch that itch!
I got this game at a deep discount on sale. I am not mad about the $1.24 I spent on it, but I would not spend it again and definitely would not spend $4.99. The art is cute and I like how each level gets progressively harder because of how the things you found last round stay on the picture which adds more clutter to search through. The biggest flaw was that I could not however figure out how to turn the music off and ended up muting my computer because of it.
This was a beautiful game, I think i will be coming back to it when I need to sit down and relax. The colours and sounds are so soothing! Took me a little over an hour from start to finish without hints. Perfectly cozy autumnal vibes.
Just a high quality heartfelt experience.
The game is peaceful and lighthearted while not feeling childish or condescending. It feels like the piece of art that it is.
The game is challenging while not wasting your time.
If you are stressed or anxious, play this.
By the way, there really needs to be a volume adjust, it's too loud! The level complete button has a little white spot where it should be transparent and one of the tracks has a harsh spot where it loops.
Seriously a great experience even for someone far from the target audience.
Wonderful art. Beautiful sound design. Nice feeling of different environments throughout the world. Hidden Object gameplay that is often made hard by hue shifting the things to find so that they closely match the background. Hint system that requires a sliding block puzzle that feels tacked on, and is either way too easy or needlessly time consuming.
If you love hidden object games and don't mind difficulty that feels forced, this is a great game. Otherwise, just watch the trailer. You're not going to get much more out of playing the game.
This hidden object game is a bit different from the usual one since there is no story to it. The artstyle is adorable, the length is just about right and there are no issues with it except a missing mute button for sound. The difficulty of the levels varies quite a bit, but it generally gets harder as the time goes on but no level is too hard to be solved.
A super cute family-friendly hidden object game. Amusing and visually appealing enough for me to kill time with. It started out relaxing but gradually became more challenging because of how hidden the objects are. I thought my eyesight is pretty good, but this game has proven me wrong lol. Still pretty fun though.
Note: Not suitable for color blind / visually impaired folks.
Cute hidden object game. I liked the subtle animations and relaxing ambient sounds/music.
Only gripe is that some of the areas had objects with incredibly slight contrast between the item and the background....to the point that I still could barely see it even with a hint that circled where it was. Maybe tweaking your monitor's picture settings could help.
7yo really liked this, especially the end. relaxing and enjoyable experience for kids.
Playtime: 3.9 hrs
I liked the graphics style. Looked quite clean and nice. It could be frustrating at times though when you were unable to find what you were looking for. Overall a relaxing game.
I play this with my 3yr old, and she loves it, especially when she discovered the "help" button and another puzzle to solve. I would absolutely recommend to everyone to just have a go at this soothing journey. It looks and sounds beautiful, it is pretty easy, and its a nice time spent together with your little one.
"Wait... Am I blind, or is it in some really cheatsy spot?"

"Oh fuck I'm just blind"
A nice short game, and I had a great time with it.
I love the monochromatic themes in each puzzle. Kind of reminds me of the works of Eric Carle. Some of these items were super hard to spot, so I didn't win the "no-help" achievement, but I enjoyed the art and sounds, nonetheless.
