The Lemuria 7 spaceship has been missing for over 70 years.
Now it is back in the Solar System, however there are no crew members on it. It's also unclear how the Lemuria 7 has returned and why it has been seriously damaged.
In Lemuria: Lost in Space, you play as Abrix - the robot with AI that may operate in extreme temperatures, high levels of radiation and that yields weapon and hacking modules in order to explore the whole ship.
Abrix has an ability to overrun security systems. The unique hacking mini-game will challenge your math, geographic and logical thinking skills. There is no time to check Wikipedia - every mistake costs you valuable resources!
Abrix has a special software that allows him to upgrade himself during the mission. You need to be very careful - if you run out of batteries or an anti-radiation cloak, the mission is aborted and the game is over.
In order to explore over 100 rooms of the spaceship, you'll need to solve dozens of puzzles, find valuable resources for the robot and fight with security turrets and other enemies patrolling the ship.
Solving puzzles not only rewards you with priceless resources, but also uncovers the story of the lost crew of Lemuria 7. The level of challenge depends on difficulty - so choose wisely or you'll need to start from scratch.
The game demo is available now!

This game tries to blend point and click with 3D action-adventure, and it does not go well. Instant-moving between points in a 3D space instead of walking does not make anything simple — it adds more confusion. The game can also become complex as hell early on.
I don't know when I got this game, or how much I paid for it. You may notice I've only played 12 minutes of this, and this is due to the fact I have a very robust laptop, problem is this game CHUGS whenever you are in motion, and its so bad that it actively hurts to play it for me. I've seen bad but this is like 10 fps or worse BAD. AVOID THIS GAME
Lemuria: Lost in Space is an adventure game. It plays like a first-person point & click adventure game, but by adding two real-time elements (resource management and combat), Lemuria: Lost in Space is closer to an action adventure game than to a classic, story-driven point & click adventure game.
This game isn't without its flaws, most notably a thin, clichéd story in dreadful English, terrible voice acting, extreme linearity, mindless puzzles, and a superfluous leveling and skills system.
Still, I cautiously recommend Lemuria: Lost in Space IF you can buy it at a great discount, because at its core it does contain enough positive elements and originality to provide a couple of hours of moderate fun.
Story
The spaceship 'Lemuria 7' went missing 78 years ago but it has reappeared near Jupiter. Another spaceship arrives to find out what went wrong with her. To that end, the crew sends a robot onto the Lemuria. The player controls this robot, although storywise it's an operator on the investigating ship who's in control of the robot. Besides the robot's operator, there's a captain, a doctor and an engineer on board. These people will comment on everything the robot discovers and tell the operator what to do next.
The mystery of what happened on the Lemuria is the only story element to be found in Lemuria: Lost in Space and it turns out to be a most uninteresting cliché.
Moreover, the English translation is terrible. This makes it hard to take the narrative seriously, and when the game tries to give detailed instructions on how to perform certain tasks, it's sometimes hard to guess what message the Polish author was actually trying to convey.
Gameplay
Gameplay consists of point & click movement and point & click interaction with the game world from a first-person perspective.
Lemuria: Lost in Space's user interface displays three gauges. The robot continuously consumes coolant and energy, so these resources need to be replenished on a regular basis. Also, the robot's irradiation levels rise slowly and need to be reduced from time to time.
To keep the robot up and running you'll need to scavenge for coolant, batteries and anti-radiation kits wherever you go on the ship.
To liven things up, there's some combat involved. This means shooting robots and turrets that try to impede your progress, simply by clicking on them while having one of the game's four guns equipped.
Occasionally, combat can be avoided by hacking into the ship's network. This happens through a strategic minigame. Once you're familiar with the mechanics of this minigame, which are satisfyingly complex, you'll realize there's a lot of potential in the minigame. Regrettably, the potential is never realized because of one fatal flaw: all of the instances of this minigame are either too easy or too hard, and never in-between.
It's very sad, really. While playing the minigame, you feel the excitement of what could have been. With much better balance tweaking and with larger 'boards', this minigame could have rivaled the best of them (usually found only in triple-A titles). Add improved graphics and an upgraded interface on top of that, and it may even become good enough to be a standalone strategic puzzle game.
§
Lemuria: Lost in Space incorporates an XP and leveling system with a modest skill tree. The problem is the whole leveling system and the skills are completely superfluous in the end.
There's an essential skill for hacking but it can be maxed out quickly. There's also a completely optional skill for the minigame. Then there are two skills that increase combat damage. All the remaining skills revolve around resource management (slower depletion rate, increased resource gain from consuming items, etc.).
At the start of the game, you can choose between three difficulty levels. The difficulty determines the number of opponents you'll encounter and the rate at which coolant and energy are consumed.
I selected the easiest difficulty because I wasn't looking forward to spending more time panicking over resource supplies than actually enjoying the game. Since one of the Steam Achievements is 'Max out four skills', I maxed out the essential hacking skill at the very start of the game and then started saving up skill points. Only near the very end of the game, when resources deplete a lot faster, did I bother to have another look at the skills.
So you can play through the entire game easily without ever increasing one skill. Granted, I did play on the easiest difficulty mode. But in my mind that means that if you increase the difficulty, you will simply increase some resource management skills to compensate for the increased resource depletion rate. And you'll have plenty of skill points left to increase combat damage to compensate for the increased number of opponents. So the difficulty modes and the skill system sort of cancel each other out, rendering them both obsolete.
§
Travelling across the ship is a linear experience. At one point in the game I was instructed to EITHER go through one corridor OR another to reach my goal. I actually had to go through both corridors to be able to open up the next area of the ship.
Occasionally, you need to solve a puzzle to continue. These puzzles are very easy though. Also, there are a lot of computers to hack. Hacking a computer is represented by showing the player a primary school level question like "What's the third planet from the sun?" or "15/?=5", with multiple choice answers to select from.
Graphics and sound
Graphics are your typical Unity Engine graphics, but Lemuria: Lost in Space's developers made very good use of the engine. Although the game takes place on a spaceship, they did somewhat manage to transcend the typically cold, sterile feel Unity's graphics tend to have.
Lemuria: Lost in Space's music score isn't really my cup of tea. It's reminiscent of 1980s synthesizer music that doesn't sound terribly annoying but it doesn't sound very pleasing or atmospheric either.
Except for the laser guns' sound, sound effects are barely noticeable and often absent.
The voice acting is awful. The four voice actors sound detached, uninvested and completely uninterested in the material they're reading. Although they're clearly native English speakers, they didn't even bother to point out the many language mistakes they were asked to read, things like "Hacking is over" and "… one of the Jupiter's moons", but they just read them out loud for the paycheck.
Recommended?
This review contains mostly criticisms so allow me to explain myself further. Basically, Lemuria: Lost in Space is an okay game. Exploring the ship and having the robot perform all the tasks your crewmates instruct you to is satisfying enough to keep playing until the end. Also, while playing Lemuria: Lost in Space you feel like you're playing a unique formula of point & click adventuring combined with combat and a bit of 'survival game' (what with the continuous scavenging for resources), which makes it essentially an exciting new experience.
Yes, the game does have a number of problems that I had to mention. And for each of those problems it loses points. But after deducting those points, the final score is still in the green. Hence the recommendation. The main problem with Lemuria: Lost in Space is it doesn't have many outstanding aspects that actually add points back to the total score. Hence the cauteous recommendation and advice to buy only when it's heavily discounted.
On Steam's extra features
Lemuria: Lost in Space has 5 Steam Trading Cards. You'll get 3 while running the game.
The 23 Steam Achievements are awarded for performing certain optional tasks like playing the minigame, for collecting some items aboard the ship, and for completing story-related tasks. All in all, it's fairly easy to obtain 100% completion.
I just finish the game and here's my review.
Lemuria: Lost in Space is ok. Early in the game i was enjoying exploring the ship and uncovering various weapons until I died...and died. unfortunately, this game has a very difficult survival aspect to it. I played on normal difficulty and struggled to find coolant and batteries and had to spend all my level up points torwards upgrading my coolant and energy to counter it. That didn't help much which caused me to start to rush to complete my tasks since surviving in this game is really close.
Half-way in the game I realized I needed hacker points allocated which required me to use an item to reset my skillz which really ticked me off since the game requires you to have that in your level up build to progress. late in the game, I got so low of energy, i couldn't get passed a group of enemies, my only option was to either start over the game or "cheat", I chose the latter. (again, because of the lack of resources which drain way to fast)
I imagine this game would have been more fun for more if I had played on easy, so I will give this game a thumbs up because of that. All those cons below are based on my experience so if your in for challenge...play on normal otherwise play on easy!
Pros
+ good story
+ good setting/atmosphere
+ fun puzzles
Cons
- very difficult on normal (can't imaging the hard difficult)
- lack of resources
- required hacker skillz
- had to rush through the game to survive

This game has some flaws but it also has some unique little diamonds not seen anywhere. It seems crazy mix of not related genres but it mixes it in a nice way. Every feature looks at beginning as odd and than you realize that it's great not odd.
Details:
+ great atmosphere not known coming from what (graphics? no, it's not that brilliant, music? I dont know, story? maybe)
+ many smart puzzles and trivia mini-game
+ interesting mix of many genres - it's like a dish with a small portions of meals from around the world
+ nice sci-fi story, with many details and great actors job
- movement could be better
- some small graphics bad choices
- fighting could be better
Overall 8.5/10
Short version: It's a good game with atmosphere, great story and interesting puzzles.
Long version:
I'm not used to point and click games, so controls made me unconfortable at start, but after a few minuts it was ok, it need only a bit of training and patience. And it's worth it - this game has really great atmosphere. You are talking on this abandoned spaceship and feel that something might happen just around next corner. And often it does. It's also a puzzle game - it tests your skills in many ways. I didn't like fighting with enemy robots but fortunetaly most of them can be killed with minigame which by the way is also very interesting (and difficult). RPG part of the game is rather simple and it might not be enough for hardcore rpg gamers, but is decent and a skill tree is quite smart and interesting. I would say that it's a great game for players that usually don't play rpg.
Pros:
- great atmosphere and music
- interesting story with some surprises, there are also many notes or mails which enriches the story, for example love affair plot
- many, many features like mini-games, skill developing, puzzles, and other small things
- easy but yet challenging rpg system
- you can skip boring parts of fighting with mini-game
Cons:
- You need some training to use movement
- It's a bit too dark as for my taste, not everywhere it's because of atmosphere
- Well, it's quite difficult, don't even try Expert mode - you will die quickly, but I guess it could be a Pro for some people
