Beautifuls levels with a good art designand levels mostly ingenus, my only critic is due music but is not awful, pretty aceptable. Game is not long so if you need to be out from your regular game routine this puzzles are a jewel.
I started off skeptical as I didn't like what I perceived as clunkiness and didn't really care for the "story"
After a while it did start to grow on me as I was really enjoying the puzzles and the interface, which I at first found haughty and janky, I found simple and intuitive once I got the hang of it.
I still don't care for the story, it's fluff to justify doing puzzles, so it's of little consequence.
What impressed me the most are the systems. In each "room" there are secondary objectives, collectibles, which unlock in-game information and the help system, which is really good. This also provides you with something to do while you're stumped and need a temporary distraction.
Even the in-game menus and interface, which seemed overbearing at first glance, I now find please aesthetically and it fits perfectly with the overall style of the whole game.
The only thing I wish this game had was the ability to rotate the camera, that would seal it as one of the GOAT puzzle games.
Amazing puzzle game. Everyone will go through the game on their own pace depending of their understanding of the mechanics, sometimes it will be easier some times harder. I highly advice you to read the lore also, there are things to learn from it.
If you are stucked dont rush to look for solution, think a little or even take break/go to another puzzle. The ingame hints are enough to not spoil your self and still progress.
To the developers, thank you for the awesome game, all the best wishes and i am looking forward for your next game :).
yes
A very polished experience - except for one thing which I will mention below.
The puzzles are pretty good and some took me quite a bit of time to solve. There's probably not much need for me to state the nature of the puzzles - you probably can get that from the official Steam page screenshots and description and from some of the other reviews. It is not an an extremely novel type of puzzle, although Archaica: The Path of Light does introduce a few new twists that are good.
While the game will run at many resolutions including my monitor's native 3840x1600, there is a gameplay issue if you use a certain "widescreen" aspect ratios like my monitors 12:5 which isn't that extreme. The game has certain "find the hidden object" objectives, that are impossible to complete if the game is being displayed in a widescreen aspect ratio. Although finding the objects is not critical for solving the main puzzles, finding them will allow you to request hints, get certain achievements and possibly (I am not sure) unlock bonus puzzles.
I played most of the game in my monitor's native resolution, made a note of where I missed the finding the hidden objects (there aren't that many - less than 10 total I would say) since the game makes it clear if you missed something, then quit and restarted the game to replay those sections in a more square aspect ratio. Oh - implied in what I said is the ability to go back to replay any level you have already played and the state of the level will be just as you left it, whether you completely solved it or not.
This was an extremely well-crafted, enjoyable puzzle experience that I can't believe I left sitting in my library untouched for so long. There are fun new mechanics with every zone you unlock, the aesthetics are lovely, and most of the sound design is simply perfect (the music is kind of average and more like extended ambient noise than anything, but at least did not negatively stick out). The puzzles themselves were hard enough to be consistently engaging, maybe even bordering on the line of being casual-unfriendly (this isn't bad, just either a warning or an endorsement depending on your personal preference). Honestly I had such a delightful time, I would absolutely add this to a list of must-play puzzle game staples.
Very nice puzzle games. I like the visuals, sounds and music: they all suit the atmosphere of the game very well. Some puzzles can be quite complex and can take quite some time to figure out, so it's not a game for those who are easily frustrated.
