Short, but fun game.
Works on my HP Reverb G2 after setting the OpenSSL environment variable mentioned in other discussions.
Short, elegant. For the Reverb G2, I had to load a custom binding, which was easy to find and load. It's a light escape room game, but it has just enough flavor and world-building to make it an intriguing and enjoyable find!
A fantastic play. Clever puzzles that click pretty easily. Takes about 1.5 hours to beat. Can't wait to play the sequel!
Holy crap I only have 2 hours in this?
Okay we are going to start this off by saying that this game genuinely feels like I have spent WAY more time in it. That's how drawn in I got with the game.
I also want to say that I have yet to beat the game. Twice now I have started the game, put it down, took a break from VR for whatever reason, and now have no clue where I was in the game. So absolutely going to be starting it a 3rd time.
I have been in actual escape rooms before in real life and they are a blast. I've also played a few VR escape room games and this is the only one that I've actually found myself caught up in and confused by. Which is why it's so nice that unlike a real escape the room game there is no timer. I could take my time and just sit there and think about what I needed to do next. Some of the puzzles are so genuinely hard.
If you like escape the room games I absolutely recommend this. The graphics are pretty good. It runs good on my HTC Vive. I can't comment on the controls as it's been a hot minute since I played but I don't recall having any specific problems with movement. Other than if I recall it has teleporting as the movement, which I'm not a fan of as a form of movement. Take that with a grain of salt though as I might be wrong on that last one.
Worth the money and time. Grab it.
A fun but short puzzle game, I managed to beat it in around half an hour, but despite the short length, it was definitely worth playing for it's since of atmosphere. would recommend getting it with abode 2, since that game was even better than this one.
This game is a bit short, I managed to finish it just in one hour, and it's only because I've stuck couple times because I couldn't find some items in this environment. Well, this is always like that with escape room games, it's about perfect length before it gets tedious, so I wouldn't call it a negative, but just be aware of it when measuring if it is worth purchasing it for listed price.
Also physics and controls are a bit janky, tbh
Still a neat puzzle
Very short and not that interesting, plus the controls are pretty awkward (at least on an Oculus controller, seems designed for the Vive wands). You can't even pick up things remotely so anything that falls to the floor sucks to pick up, especially when your controllers don't track too well near the floor.
It was logical and fun. Well, except for the last safe, for that you need a wrist that spins 360 degrees (kidding)
I really enjoyed this game. There were some fun puzzles, they weren't that hard though so that is my one drawback for this game. I also think the price is good for it, although anytime it's on sale the better it is to pick it up.

Pretty fun and the puzzles are clever. It's an escape room, though there are two "endings" that you can get. Get it in a bundle if you can, it's under an hour of playtime but it's still fun. The game utilizes controller tracking in fun ways, and is easily playable without audio. I enjoyed it a lot.
Puzzles are easy enough though I wish the hints and puzzle pieces were at least different colours.
I was charging the headset while the game was open so don't have an exact time, but it would probably keep you busy for around an hour - a decent game session.
The slightly dated physics feels a bit disruptive, but nothing broke and a few achievements got a chuckle. Pity there's none of actually finishing the title.
I'll definitely be checking out their other titles.

I got stuck on a puzzle involving posing in front of a mirror. Looking online, nobody had the same issues.
Oculus Rift 2
Not as good as the sequal, but very fun. As with the second one there are a few minor bugs can prevent it from being completed without restarting. Runs easily on max settings on a 4800H 2060RTX (higher power 115w mobile processor version) streaming wireless to an Oculus Quest using Virtual Desktop.
A very short yet charming and satisfying Escape The Room type VR Game. I would suggest getting it Bundled with Conductor as $10 by itself is WAY TOO MUCH for a 30min title, no matter the effort put into it. However, Bundled with Conductor, they both exceeded my expectations and on multiple occasions said out loud "Woah, that's neat."
Feels more like a Tech Demo than a full game, but with Abode 2 out, I'm more than satisfied with my short time playing and will be picking up Abode 2.

even for those who like escape room game.. i can't recommend it
i wouldn't buy it unless its on sale for a buck or so.
one or two clue, don't make sense, even after solving it.
This is a great 90 minute escape room with one giant flaw. You _need_ to ask for all the hints to escape. It establishes at the start that the glowing hockey pucks are hints. So I thought "Well, I'm going to win without hints of course." But the last nine hints are the pieces of the final puzzle itself. So yeah, no spoilers: use the hints.
I would definitely recommend this game.
I played this on the HTV Vive in room scale. My review is based on that experience. The only escape room experience I have is in vr.
This is a well put together escape room challenge. Most VR escape rooms I have played have had a timer set for 30 minutes. I greatly appreciated the fact that this game didn't make you feel rushed and have to start over again and again. I played though this game twice so I could complete the achievements and to see if I could improve on how long it took me to finish.
I purchased both Abode and Conductor in a bundle when they were on sale. In my opinion, that is best way to buy these two games.
Short but nifty little "Escape the Room"-esk game where you solve small puzzles around the room to get glowing rings, which unlocks both hints where to find more rings as well as the "final puzzle".
Got a little stuck where I couldn't find one last piece, but after rummaging around the room and checking behind every corner I was able to complete the game and score all achievements!
Totally recommend to grab this game to have a little brain tease, and here's hope that more devs create more games like this!
Escape rooms are pretty much the one genre that I don't think I'll ever get tired of, especially in VR, but I have to admit that a lot of the releases in the recent tides of escape room VR games have been kind of mediocre (which to be fair is pretty much the same as real-life escape rooms, which in my experience vary dramatically in quality). Abode is not one of those games. Pretty much everything about it is well-designed and high quality, there's lots of things to interact and play with, and it even has a little detective fedora that you can put on your virtual head while you solve its puzzles. The thing that's hard to explain but easy for anyone who's played a VR game to understand is how important that sort of thing is. When you can pick up a lit cigar that has nothing to do with any of the puzzles and pull an unlit cigar from a case and touch the ends together to light the unlit one, it's an insignificant action, but it does a lot to give you a sense of presence in the game, and Abode does that sort of thing really well. It's on the longer end of the spectrum as far as length goes, so you can get at least a little under an hour out of it. It's hard to say much without talking too much about the game, but if you like escape room games you'll love Abode. Escape!VR has been my favorite escape game ever since it came out, and it's still great, but Abode just took that seat.
This is the 4th escape room I've tried, and I must say it's my favorite. So many cool objects and the environment was very polished. The puzzles were also reasonable.
Perhaps the hints could be optional and replaced with funny quotes or something.
I thought the price was just right. Everyone wants it cheaper but when you think about it, a real escape room is about $25-30 per person.
I highly recommend this one! Hope to see more games from you in the future.
In a nut shell, another entry in the small and fun Escape Room VR genre. I wouldn't say that it was too challenging, a lot of the puzzles seemed quite obvious to me though, for others it could be different.
It took me roughly 20 minutes to complete it and for that, I don't believe that the $10 price tag is worth it. Though, I still enjoyed it and the ending made me chuckle!
