The world is dying. Many years after the banishment of the evil that plagued the land, the world was hit by waves of unbearable heat. Crops are withering, rivers and wells drying and the cattle is slowly dying out from illness.
During his desperate work to save his family farm from the heat, young farmer named Jory was suddenly visited by a mysterious stranger claiming that the land could be saved and that he is the one who can help save it.
Despite his skepticism, in desperation he accepted the strangers offer and was instantly transferred to a strange flying metal contraption where three other people waited.
The stranger explained to them that the thing that plagues this world is not a natural, but man made disaster. An evil and immortal tyrant, together with his evil legions from times past is manipulating the Sun that heats their world and the very fabric of time. All to fulfill his goal of utter time and space domination. Coming from a time where the tyrant already established domination, the stranger known as Cooper came back in an attempt to rewrite time and thus save both present and the future from utter destruction.
He explained to his four guests that even though they are not warriors they all carry genes of great heroes of the past. Using his superior technology he can make Jory and his new friends capable of combating any threat that comes their way.
GAMEPLAY
Each character will choose his own unique class among the rich variety that "The Space Crusade" offers. Despite this, they will not only be defined by their class of choice, but also with their inherent abilities (i.e. farmer Jory will be more sturdy then his companions, while grifter Laura will be more agile then the rest). Every class will be able to use a wide variety of abilities that will enable them to combat their more technologically advanced foes. The number of possible encounters is fixed, so there will not be any tedious level grinding. After each level up the player will choose new skills, and with it the way their characters develop combat-wise. Goal of the game is to reach the Sun where the tyrant resides while combating his legions, both human and mutated monstrosities.
CHARACTERS
Jory - small town farmer with a wild youth, but after his father died he settled down to run his family farm in his honor.
Dante - young scholar with an interest in engineering. He accepted Cooper's call to observe his advanced technology.
Laura - grifter from the Capital City that joined Cooper to flee the guards chasing her after her last scam.
Victoria - initiate in a secluded temple yearning for adventure and an opportunity to help her fellow man.
Cooper - time-traveling stranger from a ruined future. He traveled back in time to stop the problem at its root. Pilot of the vessel "Solarius", and leader of the team.

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

A role-playing game on a simple level. It even has a simple story within it. I can also say that it has a graphic style reminiscent of old arcade games. I just think that the music is not very suitable for the game. Other than that, it's pretty good for the price.

I just realized that most of the games made by Amaterasu Software are the result of Steam Greenlight. I realize now why Steam is now implementing Steam Direct for $100. Maybe to tackle spam games like this. This game is not worth playing. I just idle until I get all the trading cards. Many bugs prevent you from continuing the game further. You better buy it if you want to find exp by making badges.
This is a good game, but... Why you developer's needed to put the enemy with full force in the begin? Dying a lot is boring

I liked it a lot, has spelling errors and fights tend to last too long. Has old crappy RPG feel and i like that.
i recommend and dont recommend this game depending on wich kind of gamer you are. if you guys like 4-bit gaming then i recommend if you dont i wouldn't recommend the game
It's biggest redeeming value is low price point.
That's a bit harsh- the combat system seems alright, inoffensive, from what I played of it. It's just the slog through length and boring dialogue to get there that meant that I didn't have the patience to keep trying.
It's not aweful, but you can clearly be doing something better with your time.
Coming from the original unforgiving trials i could only say really nice game for the price.
First game had you experiment with party members, this time you'll need to work with what you have.
Faced many challenges, none too difficult.
I would recommend this game.
Lots of grammar mistakes, 2 battle is already hard. Made a video about it... Not really my taste.
EDIT: There is a lot of stuff that can be fixed. I have seen developers scorn at bad reviews and throw it like it was nothing. Sometimes these people aren't always bad, and they want whats best for their game and the people that play them. Although I still hold my views about this game I will be giving a Yes recommendation for the developers being actually good developors and listening to their community
It started well, the conversation was well done in the intro. But as soon as the game really begins it hangs.
If you can't play the game, its not a good sign.
I will wait for a patch and try again, but for now I can't recommend it.
They fixed the bug.
