Chunky Orbits is a simulation of free-floating objects in space based on real life physics. Each object in the scene attracts each of the others in a cosmic tug-of-war that we call Gravity. Toss out a few boulders and contemplate the wonders of the Universe.
Fill your Universe with a collection of cosmic chunks: boulders, white dwarfs, comets, and chunky fireballs. Add some trails to your rocks to trace their paths. Or bust out the sparkly photon cannon - a delete button with a kick! It's a big physics based playground. Create a random cluster of boulders and watch as they collect into larger, chunky groups. Launch a super-massive White Dwarf and observe how it affects the other bodies in the system. Create a small 'solar system' and see how many chunks you can get into orbit.
It's your Universe. Do What You Want. (^_^)
Features a new kind of 'pinch and pull' movement that makes it easy to move around in 3D space, or oyu can use standard first person stick controls. This isn't a game - more like a physics-based toy. It might even be educational. It certainly gave me a new appreciation for how Gravity works.

this is a great physics game and now that i have a pc i can play it thank you brain blinks.
however the content is kind of lacking so please update soon
-thank you brain blinks
9/10
Very tactile in both touch and sound. You smash the rocks together and its all kinda peaceful and you're surrounded by dark energy, which is nice.

Great game for persons with a god complex! :D It's awesome to personally float in space and throw rocks and planets and stars into each others! >:D
cool little sim
Simple toy, yet it held my attention for hours. well worth the price.
Colorful, easy to learn, n-body 3D orbital mechanics simulator with a variety of steroids, comets, black holes, and many more objects to throw around. Played on Vive. Found the movement a little unintuitive using the touchpads, but great using the grip squeeze and walking around in room-scale.
This is a great game. Lots of stuff to play around with, rocks, burning rocks, meteors, white dwarfs and so on... Very, very interesting physics simulation wich helps you understand the mechanics of matter in space. This is well worth the dollar it costs now, i woudn't complain if it was 8.-.
Really really fun game. The physics are really amazing, and you can see a lot of things in it. Game has been updated since I got it, which made the performance better. For me, there's an audio glitch whenever I spawn asteroids. So it's a kind of barebones sandbox. There is no save button or controls menu. But what is there can be entertaining for a long time. You spawn different types of asteroids and let the universe do it's thing.
DEFINITELY RECOMMEND
Good $2 tech demo.
This has to be an "Up your alley" type game. I love space, and just playing with physics, and the physics in this is really nice. I feel the price point is more than fair. It is more like a tech demo than a game, but its still very nice to sit and throw colorful rocks around, watch them coalesce into stable bodies often in a binary orbit around two equal masses, or all the rocks go to one side and you have a "Planet and moon" kinda thing. Its all super facinating
The first time I played this game i played for 45 minutes until i created so many asetroids that my framerate went to 12 and i had to quit. The game has a lot of replay ability and is a very good game to play when you get tired of runing around in superhot.
What a delightful little toy. I spent a good 20 minutes sitting on the floor of my bed room watching an accretion disk coalesce into planets.
Playing with little balls of gravel held together by their own weak gravity made it feel like I was messing with little icy moonlets that you might find orbiting the gas giants of our solar system.
For some people this will be about five minutes of fun and they'll move on but if you're a space nerd like myself you'll get more than your money's worth.
There's too little content for me to recommend this. It's basically a physics playground where you can make rocks orbit, and that's about it. I'd like to see more advanced controls so that I can create more advanced solar systems, or even some sort of game mechanic or challenges to make it interesting. For now it's one of those games you play for a couple of minutes and then never start again. I spend more time booting my VR headset than actually playing this.
Very fun to play around, really hope for further development (orbiting dwarf stars, more objects, etc.) Also, sometimes the music starts playing by itself for me.
Recommended!
More of a toy than a game, and it definitely needs more objects and/or ways to interact with them, but what's here is definitely a good start.
It's like a more colorful, simpler to pickup version of Universal Sandbox.
The graphics are really nice looking, and I enjoy the feeling of standing there, surrounded by these colorful orbiting rocks.
Right now, there are only a few tools to play with, but there's enough there for a few minutes of launching rocks at each other, with orbits causing rocks to reach hurtling speeds.
For $2, less than I'd spend at the drive thru, I feel like the price is right- *especially* if the devs follow through on their update plans!
