It's fascinating, even as the realization dawns that to some extent the puzzles are like those in The Witness. As for gameplay, it seems there is more than one solution to many puzzles. So just because you have a guide with solutions doesn't mean those are the only solutions.
PROS 1: I have played a lot of dots and lines connect games, and this one by far has the most number of levels I have ever played.
PROS 2: Bridges! It lets you cross connect lines, making the game play more interesting and challenging.
PROS 3: The developers also didn't spam each level completion with a frivolous achievement and you'll need to play a lot of levels just to unlock one achievement.
CONS 1: The graphics is very outdated, like the early flash games we had. Even the menu and UI feels like a wireframe placeholder. Also, the background music is very bland and basic.
CONS 2: While drawing a line, if you make just one mistake of touching a different line that you have already drawn, then that entire line disappears! This is not a problem in the initial levels, but it gets very frustrating in the harder levels when the board is larger and grids are smaller and you have to draw super long lines. I play this type of game a lot to relax and find peace, however, this game only seems to fill me with more rage.
VERDICT: If you don't find that type of control system enraging and you want to play a lot of different levels, then buy this game during a sale.
I played this type of puzzle game in the mobile phone and I always liked it.
Without having a touchscreen makes the experience a little bit rougher but it's cool anyway.
Alright little puzzle game. Need properly path all of the colors in order to complete the levels. If you're into simplistic 2D puzzles you might like this. Personally not for me.

Super fun game where you "simply" connect points of the same color and shape without having any lines cross. If you've played Flow Free (and Flow Free Bridges), it's basically the same thing, but with bigger boards and slightly different mechanics (multiple-use bridges and tubes).
One thing to note is that unlike similar games, in this game, bridges aren't strictly X-cross bridges, they can also be used to allow two lines to place corners on the same square (for example, one line coming in from the left and going up, and another line coming in from the right and going down).
You should also note that the difficulty in this game various drastically (instead of following a curve). For example, I solved most of the 20x20 boards in 2-5 minutes, but some took over an hour.
There are three "issues" I had with this game, but none of them prevented me from enjoying it. First is the ease with which one line cuts off another line (thus disingaging that cut-off line). When using a mouse to draw the lines, it's very easy to accidentally move the cursor into an occupied space, immediately cutting off the line occupying that space, forcing you to redraw that line. Second is that the timer doesn't stop when you successfully complete all lines; it continues counting down for two seconds before it acknowledges the level is complete. Third is that on larger boards, some colors are used for two lines, with the only differentiation being the endpoints' shapes -- circle versus octagon (and this difference is not always easy to see).
Each of the levels (8x8, 9x9, 10x10, 12x12, 14x14, 16x16, 18x18, and 20x20) has 60 boards and the tutorial has 30 boards, for a total of 510 boards, giving you many hours of fun.

Really enjoying this game. For the price I'm surprise at how many puzzles you get. I'm use to maybe 50 to 100 for this price. There are 480 regular puzzles and 30 tutorial rounds. The games range from obvious to complex and the time increases with the size of the board and the complexity. There's a windowed mode add you can choose which board size you want to play. You don't have to start at the small and work your way up. There are 60 levels for each board that you do have to work you way through to unlock the higher levels and an achievement at the completion of each board. It's a good deal for the price and well worth it if you can snag it on sale. And if you get stuck, there are community guides with the solutions or you can use gold tokens you earn through gameplay for an in game hint. If you love little puzzles, this is a great game to add to your collection.
Fun puzzle game. There a lot of levels to test your brain. If you love puzzles then its a good choise for you.
TL;DR: good concept, bad developer who fcked it into this game :/ If android game is better than PC game, then PC game is not worth.
Longer version:
Good game (i mean, connecting dots, not THIS "Dots eXtreme" game). I used to play this game a lot on my phone/tablet like 4-5 years ago. I was expecting almost same game from this. But unfortunately, this is not that case. That android game was amazing, great animation, nice soundtrack, everything was smooth, options as well, and for phone game really amazing, one of my favourite. Easy to play, hard to master, especially more difficult levels. So, why is THIS game bad? Well, when you finish the level, you have to wait 2-3 seconds for animation to continue. Also, mechanics are pretty bad (like, really? in my android version - definitely not this developer - you had exact way how to complete level. I mean, every path between dots had only one solution. Why? Because it was clever. If you had smaller board, you had less colors. But when you started like 10x10, there were more colors. In THIS game, it is so broken and annoying, that you can connect all dots, and you still have some unused space on board. It would be better to have less levels, but every level would be top quality. In THIS game it is like, 1 good level, 2 bad levels, 1 good level, 2 bad levels.)
Also, animations are boring, not sure, if there is any soundtrack (if yes, then mediocre). There are like 6 different themes, which is good, but you need coins to unlock them. And after unlocking, you are disappointed, bcs they are mostly awful. But you earn coins by playing the game, so they are free.
Oh, and there's also tutorial. But really annoying, because instead of explaining the game mechanics, there's really annoying mouse cursor, which is showing you how to complete tutorial levels :/

As i said, quality > quantity. And this game is just not good, just too many levels, which are boring. Not worth 2€. Go to android store and download FREE and BETTER version of this game. You will save some money, and you can play it even on your way to work, school, during breaks, etc :)
Cool puzzle concept that works well. I like that it's challenging. If you're looking for a good brain twister that's not casual, this is a good choice.

It's a lot like the Android game called Flow, but with more mechanics. It's a fun puzzle game, and ever since Flow updated to no longer support my ancient phone, I've missed it dearly. But now there's Dots eXtreme, which not only fills the gap Flow left, but improves upon it with more mechanics, tons of puzzles, and unlockable Themes(I like the Nature one). There are many grid sizes and you can start on whichever you please, which is great. Music is okay, if a tad repetitive, but that's a minor gripe as far as I'm concerned. Also, the games name kinda sucks(sorry).
For a quick description of the gameplay, the purpose is to drag a line from one dot to its matching color dot. All dots must match up and all squares must be used. It's a fun puzzle game with a steady difficulty curve, though if you want a bigger challenge you can just jump to a larger grid. I definitely recommend this game to any puzzle fans.

One of the best puzzel games around! Everything is smooth and challenging. Music is good, graphics are smooth. Ten seconds to pick up and learn. Reminds me of playing some older windows 3.1 games back when games were made to last.
Dots is simple to grab, and very hard to beat. It is one of the best mind games I have ever found. Similar thinking procces as chess, but in a much more eassier to grab design and less rules. Recomened from a friend and glad I found it. I'll be playing this at work for a long time! :)
This is a great little game - well designed, the graphics are well done and, most important, the re-routing works great.. no frustration with clunky controls. Excellent addition to any puzzle library.
Simple idea, simple tutorial, nicely implemented. Few games in, walk in the park. Then you had better put your thinking cap on. It ramps up pretty quick after that I'm pleased to say. Devious routes require a certain logical plan. Really enjoying it.
