This is a well done VN its funny, romantic, spicy, interesting. There are 3 routes but one of them could be considered uncomfortable for some, Zhi Kong's route. The other two were romantic and sweet. I personally thought the MC makes this VN worth it she has a very relatable and funny outlook throughout the story. I'm excited for a another game from this developer <3
Interesting story, complicated characters, good art & music
It's truly an amazing game, for I was truly enraged (that's quite hard to achieve), blushing like a little girl, and enjoying the drama
Zheng's route: do not recommend for the first playthrough, but it's utterly easy to lock in
I think you'll enjoy his route if you're into erotic stuff that requires to shut off your brain (and abandon your pride); or if you like heavy drama, and angst
Now why.. Don't get me wrong. I read yandere stories with black flags on a daily basis (actually I like manipulators, and selfish bastards in fiction). So its either it rubbed me the wrong way or its actually that bad. So..
I f****ing loath people like him. He's quick to judge you, but is actually a huge hypocrite (in both his route, and his brother's). Not to mention he's quick to cover it up with 'faith' (that's probably what added oil to my flames). Though it's not the worst part for me.
You won't be able to reject his advances. More importantly, the more you struggle, the more he'll become interested in MC. It's the usual deal with obsessive MLs, but there's no feelings involved.
No trust (he'll suspect you cheating in a good route too), no respect (of course). But from him the MC senses only lust, just lust. No feelings attached
So it felt like I was a witness to an assault on multiple occasions. Not to mention he's booring, his manipulations are basic, and brass.
I really don't get the questionable sexual appeal that MC supposedly experiences. I mean its way better to be an old maid than to be with a guy like him.
By the end of my first playthrough I was constantly shouting 'Slap his f***ing face!')))

Got this one on the second playthrough even though I aimed for HuiHai. Now the spoilers..
He's the best man ever) If I ever to marry that's the man I'll want to end up with. Funny, reliable, capable, self-sacrificial, yet confident. He treats MC with respect (like true one, when people actually consider wishes); scolds her harshly, but as an equal person; changes his attitude, when realizes that he's in the wrong.. he's a delight 0-0
I really think of this route as the canon one considering all the ties to the 'fate')
And his bad ending is just sad, no angst
But the best part: no Zheng in this one (apart from mandatory scenes - he's like a ghost in those)
HuiHai's route: fun at the start, and could be quite dramatic if you screw up
As in any otome just be honest, and you'll be fine. Onto the spoilers..
I love the first part when you grow closer, and become buddies. Then when the MC starts catching feelings it either turns to be an okay drama, or straight up wicked shit (cause Zheng's f-ing vile: he knows everything, and I wager secretly kind of into it. He's all 'there's no feelings on this side' again, of course)
It was pretty hard for me to achieve switcheroo, so I got bad ending first. Its quite predictable, but another one 'You're a vile lying woman' from my 'beloved husband' made me sing Aurora's 'Rage' in my subconscious once again)))
All in all I say it's worth a try!
Wow, it's a lengthy one! So I suppose the game is great indeed)
The writing feels a bit rushed because, you don't see any of the protagonist teaching/training with the monks so their relationship feels a bit fake, because you never see it grow.
The dialogs are a bit weirdly written but that could be the time period.
But there is only one or two CG's per route, tops. They just added cg's variations as different cg's to collect, but it's the same ones.
Not worth the time honnestly.
Is ok, is fun a bit much on the s. assault theme for me, it doesnt matter if its a good or bad ending, your MC are going to get s.a by someone but ive seen weirder shit on other otomes. The fun part is actualy how bad is everything xD.
Despite flaws in the writing, this visual novel is actually one of my favourites. It's unfortunate that it feels rushed as I would have loved to play a longer visual novel with more development and scenes between the characters. Maybe showing some more of the MC's time at home with her family to develop why it was so important to go to the temple, maybe showing some more of her time in the temple as well.
The route with Hui Hai is absolutely top tier and is what makes this game worth buying, it is emotional, especially the bad end. The development between them pulls you in to want to read more, has a lot of suspense and he is very likeable (Unlike the other 2 characters which give you a lot of reason to dislike them such as being sadistic or just straight up rude)
Zhi Kong's route is okay, it's neither bad nor good, but his non-chalant vibes kinda make a lot of parts boring to read. Ending was nice, but it could have been written on any other character you know nothing about and you'd still like it.
Zi Qing has a very typical childhood romance essence to it, but he also insults the MC often which can be pretty off-putting. The bad end was just straight up not even worth reading.
I truly love this game and the MC is such a delight.
I absolute love VTML, so I decided to give this a chance. And man, this was a surprising win! The character development was great - surprising, full of depth, and not at all ridiculous (as I saw some mention). There's a ton of joke, quirks, and parody moments (and more than one throw to Gintama, to boot), sure - but there's real, serious life-drama going on, too. I thought the story was really well-done given the subject matter, too. Beyond that, the music and voice acting are easy standouts. You will not find better value just in that, alone. The art, UI, and setup/config is all well-done. The glossary was also extremely helpful. The writing isn't "flawed", as some have said - not being your cuppa doesn't mean it's inherently flawed or poorly-done. It just means it's not your jam - that doesn't mean it's not somebody else's. Anyway, I loved the depth of each character, not just in their own routes - but in the others', as well. There's a little bit extra of each in each, if that makes sense - so it's not just a bunch of repetition. In the end, the only real complaint, if you could even call it that - the bad end's for the first two came with an alt/dark-styled CG - whereas the 3rd was in the style of the other CGs. I'm not sure if it was intentional, or just oversight - but it would've been kind of cool to see how they'd style such an alt/dark bad end for him, is all. All-in-all - this is some amazing bang for your buck! Between this and VTML, this Dev/Pub is on my shortlist, for sure. I love it.
The art wasn't too bad, some of the goofy faces threw it off in my opinion (they just didn't quite feel drawn right on their faces) and the voice acting was well done. The story is where the game truly lacked though (and with that being a big piece of the game, this is where it lost me and gained a "not recommended" rating from me. There is a lot wrong with the writing, and the borderline SA was not appreciated. Along with that some of the scenes (the writing to be exact) were not exactly appreciated either, in my opinion this game should add an additional rating for sexual content with the direction some of the scenes take. In addition to the not so great story line, I had a lot of issues running the game, it was very glitchy. If I had to close out of the games window for a moment to access something else on my pc it would either not recognize my mouse when returning or just completely crash the game, some of the scenes would stack on the borders of the game, and sometimes the game would randomly freeze and crash. With this game having been out since 2016, I wouldn't have thought I'd be dealing with so many glitchy moments in the game and with my short time having played it.
