Very fun! So many weird bad endings
Great game, I enjoy the music and all the different paths there are, so many outcomes and so many posibilities! Great art.
i wanna get freaky with toma
It's a good game, especially as an introduction to the otome genre, although if you play it as someone who's already very into the genre it'll feel a bit underwhelming in comparison to other games.
The LIs area bit more stereotypical than you see in a lot of other otomes, and while that fits this setting very well, it can make them turn out to be not as likable as they would've been otherwise. I say this from my personal point of view of course, as I didn't particularly enjoy Toma's, Kent's and Ikki's personalities; Shin was alright and Ukyo was interesting especially due to all the mystery around his character.
Story-wise, the game is quite good, there are some plot twists I definitely didn't see coming (looking at you Toma), and the plot regarding the existence of different timelines is interesting.
As a side note, the mini games are pretty fun to play.
cage time
It's insanely slow in the beginning, one of the main characters talks for over 15min of dialogue without you getting to play at all. And only a small portion of that dialogue is actually necessary and relevant to the story. If you have the patience to play beyond all of that exposition, that's great, but I find it too slow paced to be enjoyable.
I will always cry for Ukyo 🥲
Orion is so annoying I wish we could've hurried up and got our memories back so that he'd shut up. Toma was cool but yall overhyped him too much, i honestly wish i could refund this game. quickly.
kisses shin pasionaetly
I love this game. I saw the anime back when it came and was sold on the cleverness of the concept. Little did I know there was a whole game about it, before almost ten years later... You makers are so talented and inspire me to continue on with my own creative work. Thank you... I have heard "Amnesia: Later" and "Anmesia: Crowded" is out on switch. Please make this for steam too... Rooting for you! Btw. The music is fantastic! I listen to it at work.
Peak
i really loved this game, i think it has really good storyline.
I do not recommend lol I played Shin and Ikki's route and it was a bit of a turn off so I decided not to replay it for the other characters. The plot kinda sucks. You just pick a character to pursue at the beginning. Orion is a bit annoying. There's also no fast forward button so you have to continuously click through scenes you've been through before. I personally don't recommend but maybe you'll like Toma's yandere route.
BEST BEST BEST OTOME GAME EVER!!! WE LOVE UKYO my cutie patootie sugarplum sweet cookies princess my one and only love of my life i only have eyes for him my sweet sweet suicidal man i love you
I do not recommend playing this as an otome game, because all the men are varying ranges of shit. However, as a visual novel, it is absolutely unhinged and I love it. Still haven't played Ken yet who people seem to like most. Been too busy laughing about the diamond route.
you may complain that Amnesia was questionable at times, but what Amnesia never was, was boring. 10/10 would pay to play it for the first time again.
Lowkeye was not my vibes cause i didnt like any of the characters
Amnesia: Memories is an iconic old schoolish otome (first came out in 2011?). It's a classic, and the sequels were semi recently released on Switch - although the artist's style took a turn for the worse imo.
But yes would recommend 10/10. Just don't start with the Diamond World first.. unless you're into that.
i love orion that little bug boy has a place in my heart
my my my.... this game where do i even start..
first off! im writing this review instead of my college essay haha anyways
this was my first REAL' otome game besides mobile games and this BLEW me out of the park, the cgs.. the art.. the characters??? i absolutely ADORE this game and i couldnt have been happier to call it my first otome game. i was abit confused by the first option where you pick what li you want by the worlds... i thought they were save files and started with shin (YUCK) he almost made me drop the game until i played my babies kents route next and it redeemed the entire game for me. your choices ACTUALLY influence the ending which is so refreshing.. most otome games ive played recently (collar x mallice, even if tempest) the choices you make dont make THAT much of a diffrence and thats a bummer cuz thats like... half of an otome i feel like??
anyways 10/10 kiss kiss make more otomes where im locked in a cage thx
If you enjoy visual novels with a strong narrative and emotionally charged romance, Amnesia: Memories is definitely worth playing. It’s a game that tugs at your heartstrings while keeping your mind engaged with its complex characters and branching storylines. (─‿‿─)♡
For those who saw this WAY BACK and even saw the anime, this is for you! Not gonna lie, I NEVER played this or have watched people play this. I knew of it and even saw some of the anime (God only knows I remember bits of it now;) back in 2013 (or 2014) and wanted to try it out but never did. Saw it again while looking around for something to play and gave it a go, to me, I love it! The art and voices are nice and if played and take your time it would take a good amount of hours for one route. Nothing wrong with old files not working if made a new one like some games have with save files. Exciting is somewhat annoying if full screen but it's not too bad. You should give it a go! Kent is my favorite one:
I love this game. I really recommend it. The music and visuals are amazing
crying and hitting the floor i'm so glad they found happiness
I really the game :) great for Otome lovers, I found out through by another friend, plus the opener is banger!
The art style, the story, and the characters are great. Loved it.
I only did one of the endings, but the story had already captured my attention. Really well written and impressive
please let me out, toma
play this game if ur a boss at air hockey or if u like gettng kidnapped and locked in a cage
Since I watched the confuseing Amnesia anime, I was very curious to see what the game was like, so I got it. And now I just finished Shin's route (the two bad endings, the normal one and the good one).
I have to say I'm not disappointed at all, it's entirely voiced, the story is very captivating and much clearer than what was given to us in the anime, I'm excited to experience the other routes (especially Kent's ^^)

This was one of my first ever otome/visual novel games, and it holds a special place in my heart. It is a poster child for the genre of otome. Personally, no other otome game could ever compare to Amnesia: Memories. The love interests each have their own unique personality, and have their own special way of displaying their affection to the heroine. The plot is interesting, and I love that we uncover things as we play. 10/10
i absolutely adore this game <33 i played it years ago on another console so i dont have many hours on steam, but i highly recommend if youre into otome games!
This was my first otome game. I'd recommend it as an intro the genre but there are definitely titles I've enjoyed more now that I'm familiar with them. The most unique thing about Amnesia is the narrative choice to make your internal monologue a separate character in the form of Orion. I have kind of mixed feelings about this, it is one way of separating the protagonist's thoughts that allows for a more conversational exploration of the situation but sometimes you just want to kick that bug boy out of your head. The story told is also pretty good though it is more of a route focused game than one central narrative. I usually prefer a more cohesive narrative but each route here is very pretty good and a couple of them I enjoyed a lot (Shin, Kent).
This is also a good PC port with no major issues. Many other otome games have fairly low quality ports, so this is a bonus and it runs great on the Steam Deck.
I liked the structure of this game, but wish the characters weren't so rude. I can't believe how many times I got called an idiot or insinuated that I was incapable of understanding something because I wasn't smart enough. I honestly found none of the guys very likeable. I played through each character once, so maybe different endings make each of them less insufferable.
this game is probably the reeason that im Gay now
STEAM RATING: 8.5/10
One of the classic otome games available on Steam, Amnesia: Memories is an immersive visual novel on how the main female protagonist (known as MC) traveled through parallel worlds as she tries to reconnect her timelines in the hopes of meeting the love of her life. If you’re into visual novels with tons of replayability and additional fun minigames, Amnesia is a must-recommend. Spoiler alert: The loveable bipolar Ukyo turns out to be MC’s long-lost partner?!
Backstory: how I got into the game
This is one of the first Steam games I’ve acquired (year 2021). I’ve played it for a good hour and never went back to it. I kaputt the game last July, as I automatically got my hands on it within four to five days of playtime. I restarted everything from scratch. I’ve tried to finish the game without using the game guides—and it was a blast of experience.
About the game
As mentioned, this game delves into how MC had her memories erased during her encounter with Orion, a humanlike creature from a different planet. Coincidentally, Orion has a mission of aiding MC in recollecting her memories—and the more the female character unlocks her memory, the faster Orion can get back to his planet.
There are four central universes (plus one main universe) that the MC had to enter: the Diamond, Clover, Spade, and Heart—which represent symbols used on poker cards. With no memories, the MC is expected to blend in with the chosen universe to prevent unwanted ejection (also known as the “Bad Endings”) from the game.
Heart: Shin’s world
Shin is the youngest of the five dateable male characters in the game. From what I can still recall from the gameplay, he had a very harsh childhood: his father was accused of killing, and since then—a few wanted to make friends with him out of the irrational fear of being associated with a ‘criminal’s son.’
This dilemma is blatant throughout the storyline. Shin is highly suspicious and can quickly detect that the MC is having problems recalling her memories. He is also receptive to the MC’s acts of romance, and his possessive tendencies are evident.
Spade: Ikki’s world
Ikki (also known as Ikkyu) is the most charismatic character in the game. He can lure in many women whenever they get a gaze of his eyes. This ‘magical eye’ that Ikkyu acquired made ways of creating a fans club—which the MC joined.
As she recalls her memories, she figures that she joined the fan club to rebut Ikki’s conceited acts toward women. The MC perceives Ikki's womanizing acts as “cruel,” and she promises herself not to fall into the three-month rumor or when any woman that the MC dated will be laid before ending the relationship.
Further interaction with Ikki disproves these rumors—as it turns out to be one of the publicities that the fan club president disperses to scare away fans from actually falling in love with Ikki.
Clover: Kent’s world
Kent is a hardcore rationalist when it comes to love. He believes that acts of love should have a logical structure for it to make sense. His encounter with the MC paved the way for how he perceives love—as he tries to balance his thoughts on some ‘illogical spikes’ it produces.
Of the five dateable characters, Kent is the most wholesome it could get—or should I say, the total ‘husbando’ package. I legit squeaked as he said such doting husband remarks to the MC. (Yes, this one is heavily biased because Kent is my favorite guy out of all of them. Deal with it.)
Diamond: Toma’s world
If Kent is the dreamboat, Toma’s the horror boat. His excessive possession of the MC led him to do questionable acts. I don’t know, but if a guy locks me inside a human-size dog cage (even if it is adorned with stuffed toys and all the cutesy things), the moment that I can escape from that cage is the exact moment that I will not be seen again. I don’t care if he has the looks and the heights; I won’t submerge myself in such a distorted romance!
Joker: Ukyo’s world
After completing all the primary world, the Joker timeline will be available. Later on, it will be revealed that Ukyo’s timeline is the supposed-to-be timeline of the MC.
Spoiler: The MC was already dead during a fire incident on her campus, and her lover Ukyo took a devil’s deal and decided to travel several timelines in which the MC will not be dead after the school burning incident. During this timeline, the MC will face several “bad endings” in an attempt to end her life. Managing to get through the good ending will give birth to a new parallel universe—or the unaffected universe glitch that Ukyo’s been trying to prevail—so that he and the MC will get the much-deserved lifetime they need.
Due to the several hardships Ukyo had to endure, he developed a second narcissistic personality—which is filled with the desire to end the MC’s life, out of the belief that if the MC is dead, Ukyo will no longer have to suffer from the constant dealing on his head.
Yes, you should play Amnesia: Memories
If you’re a total nerd who wants to read lines and lines and lines of the storyline, this visual novel gives you the satisfaction you need. An additional feature of this game is the characters are animated, and all the lines are voiced! The animation and music are also lovely—I didn’t notice the time passing through as I played this game. So go on, give it a try, lads!
i love love love this game!!! I can understand the hype for otoges now. I was so disappointed when I played potbb because it was like wtf where's the romance, but this game was like all romance. I love the little extra scenes that unlock after doing all the routes too ( >▽< ).
I love all the characters (except shin sorry he's boring) !!!! if you play it in the right order all the plotlines gradually get more intense which I really liked. I wish the characters threatened to molest me less. I swear every route without fail they're like "woah don't invite me to ur house or I'm gonna touch you" and it's like woah! ok buddy calm down! but I get a feeling that's gonna be a common theme for otoges? idk I haven't really gotten into them. wasn't a fan of the weird pseudo incest plotline and honesty I can't talk about this game to anyone without losing my dignity because of it, but it kind of made way for a sort of mildly interesting character dynamic?? idk I think they could've left it out.
The game kinda glitched with the achievements for me so like no way in hell am I gonna get 100% unless I absolutely go insane and lose my mind. Also I hate that in the skip setting it stop skipping for the stupid text messages, I literally could've saved so much time if that wasn't a thing.
overall, if you love getting threats of molestation this is the game for you! I'd give it a 9/10 but only because I love Toma, if he weren't in the game I'd give it like a 7.5-8/10.
I love my emotional support spiritbug
All I can say is, I love you, I love you, I love you, Kent!!!!
Kent is just everything! His awkwardness with emotions just totally melts my heart. Every time he tries to understand feelings, I just can’t handle it...he’s so adorably clueless! And when he gets flustered? I’m over here screaming with excitement. Those glasses of his are the cherry on top. How can someone be so smart yet so endearing? Kent, you’re driving me wiiiiild in the best way! 😍💕
Well, I've discovered a love for yandere because of this.
I love this game! Wish we'd get the other titles as well!
the story is interesting, and there are many endings,it takes 25-30 hours depending your speed and if you want to complete all ending, just one problem, orion talks too much
Toma will change you.
i can fix Toma <3 (i'm mentally ill)
I need an Ukyo IRL
