Hooligan Vasja is yet another of literally hundreds of lazy amateur 2D retro top-down shooter/brawlers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This is a basic ClickTeam Fusion template flip, the "developer" has copy + pasted this same game onto Steam several times as a lazy cash grab. It's got no value as a serious game and just exists here as a cash grab/card farming + abuse game.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result.
There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Clickteam Fusion construction kit - the "No-Code" construction kit that "Anyone can make games with!!". Including, you know, people who aren't game developers. Which is a problem. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it's free (so they don't have to pay for GameMaker Studio) and doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's arguably worse than GameMaker Studio). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. So it's inappropriate when amateurs try to use these for profit, without any actual, real game development effort taking place. This doesn't result in products that have any real meaningful value for gamers.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
You don't have to take my word about how bad the game is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. Hooligan Vasja has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for starting the game, trivial to achieve, but less than 6 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch.
Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only happened once, and isn't consistent with the achievement stats, that show less than 6 percent of players bothered playing the game for any reasonable amount of time. How is it possible for this game to have so many concurrent players who didn't bother engaging with this game? Trading cards. People will use card idling software to collect the cards and sell them, but this won't trigger any achievements in-game.
That tells us people only really bought this game for trading cards, and that's a damning indictment of the woeful quality. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards.
Hooligan Vasja is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 9,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.

In this game you are playing as a kid who is running up on the water pipe! And your objective is to run as high as you can for more score!! While avoiding grandmothers who are throwing at you somekind of pots and flying cats !! And yes he can also throw some rocks at all !! XD This game was just not long enought for me to be able to recommend it! You could end game 20 - 30 seconds or you could could go for longer if you can hold on!! :))))))

The short of why I don't recommend this game is because it's a bad shmup/bullet hell.
The medium is I literally have the highest score out of anyone who's played it and I still haven't beaten the boss.
The long of it is the how bad the control scheme is, among other problems. The character you control is stuck in the middle of the screen and allowed to move up and down along around the bottom fifth of the screen. That's not the problem though, the problem is that to dodge, you have to move your aiming recticle. Your character will automatically switch the side of the pole so that he's aiming from the far side of the pole. Now that's already annoying enough, but this isn't a horrendous problem with the main part of the game because to hit enemies completely on one side while dodging their attacks makes sense, as enemies will only attack their side. The problem is when there's a boss, who sits on the top of the screen and can move horizontally. This means that depending on on what side you're shot at, you might not be able to hit the boss while dodging, giving free time for more attacks to come at you. It's also much easier to accidentally switch sides while aiming and can get you hit with easily dodgeable shots.
Other problems include: Hitbox is large enough to get hit by items that have already passed you, a single music track that gets tiring after a very short while, bomb item has about a second delay which makes it useless as a panic button, bosses prioritizing your item drops leading to occasions where you can't finish a boss fight, and difficulty is almost entirely increased by increasing enemy damage.
There are a few points that showed the potential of the game, like how the cat attacks is interesting compared to the rest of the enemies, the animations on enemies when you manage to block their attacks, how you actually had to manage your main projectile ammo in addition to your bombs and health, and a developer who actively responds to questions.
**QUICK THOUGHTS**
Hooligan Vasja is a slow paced tower climbing action arcade title from Trident Game Studio. The main problem is that the game appears mildly amusing in the trailer, but is actually incredibl boring, tedious, and repetitive, even for something clearly designed more for younger players in mind. The cartoonish artwork reminiscent of the days of The Magic Schoolbus is met with the most basic of stock music with a polka foundation, as well as a slew of typical effects like a brief cat meow before leaping to their death in order to hurt you as you ascend the side of the large apartment complex like Spider-Man.
Use your mouse to aim and fire "bullets" (i.e. rocks) at your enemies as you scale the building, avoiding random pivots in the pipes and other objects that can end your game. If things get tough you can press right mouse button to set off a fire work and kill a bunch of innocent people and animals. Eventually you will reach the levels boss that can range from a giant clown to a giant rat and a few things in between.
The biggest gripe to be had about this title is the lack of a level select. If you die, you go right back to the first level and have to replay the entire thing. This is where the tedious aspect comes into play, as by the third or fourth time through you're just sick of the stock music and nineties children's cartoon aesthetic that is as carboard and generic as everything else about the title.
But if upgrades were added to boost your attack the further along you go, or even the aforementioned ability to bypass playing the same level over and over and over again, there could be a little hope for this game being a quick pick-and-play title, especially for the achievement hunters out there. Alas, none of this exists, and trying to defeat an opponent in your way almost seems more difficult than defeating the end level bosses, making each attempt to get further all that much more a chore to accomplish. Even after five minutes it felt as though Hooligan Vasja had shown its hand, leaving me with a desire to not hit the play button until a few updates are implimented to give players a little more flexibility with their progress within it.
You play as a boy called "Vasja", who's running up some houses. You have to destroy windows, kill poor cats and older people until the point, where you have to fight the boss (of the house?). Which seems to be a big cat with some magic skills. I don't know...

This repeats every level, with some other opponents or items - a rocket which helps you to kill more grannys at the same time. I don't really get the point of this game, I don't really recommend this game. It hasn't much to offer.
