Stifled is a multi-award winning, Sound-based Stealth Thriller, where SOUND is the only way you SEE and the enemies HEAR your fear through your microphone input.
We won a bunch of awards for being weird and different. So we're strutting it.
Unique echolocation-based graphics and innovative microphone-enabled gameplay.
Step into the shoes of David Ridley, a man whose mind is slowly fracturing under the weight of heartbreak, turning his world dark. A world where sound gives a glimpse of your surroundings but also attracts the attention of grotesque and terrifying creatures lurking in the dark.
Stifle your screams, because the enemies can hear you through your microphone.
Complete your immersion (and possibly scare yourself s***less) with Virtual Reality. We support Oculus and VIVE headsets.
If Stifled seemed familiar, well it is because its Spiritual Predecessor, Lurking has been played by some of your favorite let’s players!

i dont know if this is just me but i just bought the game and as soon as i get out of bed, my pov/camera wont move. It will only move up and dow, i cant move right or left. Please if anyone knows how to fix this
played it in vr and mic, really fun concept for a horror game
Holy hell, I didn't know what I was getting myself into. My buttcheeks will be perpetually clenched thanks to this game. If you're afraid of the dark don't even think about it. The monster (?) spirits (?) whatever are not super terrifying, but the noises made my heart feel unhealthy. idek if I'm gonna pick this back up.
Game has very interesting gameplay mechanics. Game was not at all scary kinda breezed threw the game. Ending was kinda eh. But honestly game is intriguing and love the idea.
Good game to play once, it's a lot of walking that did not want me to replay the game. There is no clear story, but it's all open to your interpretation. Great psychological horror game, would recommend.
This game does a really cool thing with the echolocation. The level design is does a good job of steering the player in the right direction in almost all cases. My only real issue is that the player is locked out of using the mic to see since it alerts enemies so it basically ends up being just playing the game blind. With more tools on top of throwing rocks to be able to make noise to see, it could get very fun. It is currently very overpriced.
Despite it not being the longest game, it was an experience all its own. The other worldly feel around the game adds a perfect amount of atmosphere to this game
This game is aight 7 ducks. played it drunk now im going to adopt a sewer baby so my wife will leave me and my ducks alone.
I really wish there were a better game in here somewhere. The use of mic input is a well thought out novelty, and they match it with a depressing enough story and simple mechanics that allow the user to concentrate on the game. So far so good. It's pretty short, but then a lot of games of this nature can be short (though by no means all of them).
That, however, is where the good things stop.
Part of the game is stealth and part of it is standard walking simulator. The walking sim part is boring, the story obvious and the interaction with most objects in the environment pretty rudimentary. The walking sim parts of the game generally aren't long enough to warrant being completely bored, but they're not very involving and are too simplistic.
The stealth part of the game is fun for a while, but ultimately, walking around in a crouched position not being able to see anything at all is only fun for so long. You can make noise and see a little more, but again, it's just not fun enough for long enough, despite the short length of the game.
Somewhere in here is a pretty good game, but the developers haven't quite found it. It's like a version 1 and I'd look forward to them doing it better next time round.
Neat concept, but the ending is literally a Yes or No choice with no prompting of what you're choosing and there is no closure or explanation. There's no replay value other than wanting to know what the other choice would do, but it's not enough to make me even consider playing again. Also, very short at about twoish hours to finish.
Interesting idea, but utterly ruined by unresponsive controls.
At times I was jamming all of my movement controls around just to edge forward.
Played the game at e3 as a demo and its the entire reason I even got into vr. Its unfortunate that the game seems to be way worse at release than the demo. My character stopped walking every 2 seconds voice calibration is way off although I did it twice and the options menu I cant interact with as when I press the corresponding input on my controls it simply doesn't register
The jerky turning motion in this game is the worst I have seen in all the VR games I have played. I was sick to my stomach for over an hour after playing for just a few minutes.
First thing i have to say is, that i only tried to play it with a HTC Vive, no idea if or how it works non-VR.
To keep it short and simple:
Motion controllers doesn't work, even if it says so on the store page.
My head was stuck in the ceiling, after trying to restart from the last checkpoint nothing happened, ESC didn't even open the menu anymore
1\10, does not work as advertised, would refund again
Honestly Screw this game, frick it. this game scared me so bad i screeeeeeeeeeeeeD, literally like 1% of my way through this godforsaken game i had the most ungodly encounter with one of these hell babies that just made me peed a little. 10/10 would screeeeeed again. gg baby hillary
I bought Vr just so I can experience Horror games immersivly, this game grabed my attention due to it attempting to be different and it actualy works.
I played the game on Vive with controler and other than a few annoyances like when I lean too far the screen goes black though I quickly got used to how far I can lean to not affect my gameplay!
I will update this post as I get further into the game but with the first 2hrs, the game imo is worth the buy
Pros: So far
Vr is implemented
Using sound to travel around is a great idea
Puzzels are a balanced challenge
Cons: so far
Lack of Vr control support for vive
No room scale

Absolutely terrifying. Stifled provides excellent atmosphere and excels at environmental storytelling, which reveals a heartbreaking tragedy. Buy this game.

A really cool game from Gattai Games, Stifled is a horror game that not only has an intresting story, but it's also fun which a lot of horror games fail to bring these days, with unique echolocation mechanic to explore the envoiorment and make your way around the game, very fun to play with microphone and see those stisfying echo waves revealing the pretty enviorment which is also stsfying to look at, stifled is just fun and nice. Only draw back in my opinion is the 20$ price, considering this game is very short, regardless I was very happy with this purches.
Reviewed using HTC Vive Pro
🔊 Stealth Echolocation game avoid or distract the angry spirits blocking your Exit 🔊 Using sound waves pinging off nearby landscapes to light up a monochrome pathway in the Darkness of your Mind 🔊
✔️ Monochrome vision is nicely done, Good Audio sync
✔️ I relied heavily on crouching which made least noise

A very strange game and is a little scary at some points, worth a bit of play but it is a story teller without telling you the story.
You have to guess what it is about.
I played this in VR with is good, not VR controller support but you can use a xbox control.
This would be a lot better with vive Controller support.
You can use mouse and keyboard but it is better using xbox control in VR.
I prob would not want to replay this again as you would already know the story.
but it is a good game.
7/10 for me.
This game has been extremely well since I started it. It is unique in its audio based mechanisms, and it also makes it an interesting game for a let's play because of the microphone being a fundamental part of the games originality.
