Although this game is similar to Gardens Inc, but it has too much bug. I stuck at level 2 because I ran out of gold.
By the way, I can't unlock any Steam achievements.
buggy, menu buggy, all levels buggy, no explanaition of how the game works, achievements do not work
Good game. The normal game mode is easy.
Completed the game on expert all missions 3xStar. Achievements are broken, devs will probably wont bother fixin them(as seen on discussion panel - "game is too old"). Had few holds on missions due to bad design, but they are all passable. A lot of bugs(Tip: don't alt+tab during mission or game will just close and you will lose mission progress). Pacing in missions is wrong too, sometimes had to afk for few minutes for resoureces to gather at the end of mission. overall its not "Happy Empire" its "Sad empire". Cheers
Hi! This is entirely addictive game. 4 hours flies past like nothing.
Great time killer.
It started with a very short tutorial and didn't explain anything really. Had to try figure it out. Just wasn't fun at all. I have played better little farming games out there than this.
Nice small game with slow pace. This game is definitely worth it's current 'special' value.
Maps doesn´t look good and are not fun to play.There are a lot of things everywhere and it is annoying to find important parts for completing every level.
Also I don´t like music and sounds in this game.Those workers don´t have to comment their every move.And it is annoying that I have to wait for them to get beck home to give them new orders.I can´t plan my moves further to the future.
There are a lot of better games of this type than this one.
Don´t waste your time buying it. Even if it is on sale.
Achievements are broken, and honestly that's the only reason I was going to play this game. Go play 12 Labours of Hercules instead.
I have nothing against the game itself. Happy Empire is like many other games series of this kind : Moai, 12 Labours of Hercules, Elven Legends, Gnome Gardens and so on.. If you like that sort of short scale strategy, resource management and casual games, you might enjoy this one.
That being said, unfortunately I can't recommend it because as far as I'm concerned achievements are fully broken. None of them has unlocked although I've played a couple of hours and met the requirements to achieve some of them. I don't seem to be the only gamer experiencing this problem (see discussions topics) but everything looks like dev's haven't been looking into it, although there seems to be a sequel on its way..
Maybe AEL Entertainment will look into Happy Empire buggy achievements after they release that sequel.. I hope so. Untill then I quit playing this game, can't recommend it and won't buy the sequel. A pity.
It's a nice game!
Cool graphics and interesting play model. There are goals to meet in each level such as collecting food and resources, repairing roads and bridges and constructing buildings that will allow you to achieve your goals and earn 3 gold stars. The game itself is good.
Graphics are GREAT! The story that this TM game is based upon is about a Happy Empire, the Empress Laya has just returned from a voyage where she was seeking new discoveries of resources and knowledge to make the people even happier. When she returns from her voyage she is unhappy to discover that the evil wizard Moramor has returned to create chaos even though he has been banned from Happy Empire.
Pros:
-Great concept.
-Clear goals.
-Colorful detailed graphics. This game is nearly perfect!
-The game is bright and pleasant.
-It is very relaxing and i played it after a particularly difficult day at work.

My favorite type of game, I don't know why developers do not create more of them! I loved the beautiful graphics except the scenery doesn't have any motion such as swimming ducks, moving waves etc. Smooth gameplay. The graphics are very good, that's certainly a plus. There is a timed and relaxed mode. Great if you wanna relax.
I enjoyed this game, but I want other to know exactly how it runs on my Win 8 so as not to be disappointed. Not sure if the upcoming patch fixes the issues, hope it does, I was able to finish the game, but at the end was not able to see the final cutscene or whatever was supposed to be there as the game crashed. Again. i clicked next maybe that was the mistake. Queueing tasks is confusing and resulted in me clicking until smth got done.
Moreover, none of the 2 available achievements worked for me, but I understand these 2 are just for test and the real achievements are coming with the next patch; however i've finished the game and it does not make a difference for me as I am not playing the game again just for the sake of the achievements.
It's a mostly mindless casual way to burn some time. It would be a fine casual game if not for the fact that the game has totally crashed twice in a row on me after finishing the last level. Whatever is supposed to go on, won't. It's a bit of a shame because the starting intro is voiced and I was looking forward to hearing what would go on. Oh well.
Amazing! The game is very positive, beautiful and interesting. I've never come across anything like this before, so I decided to buy it. I’m enthusiastic about this game. I would recommend it to everyone.

The game is just awesome. I really enjoy visual effects and overall design is simple and very appealing. I had to order food delivery to my house. Don’t do like that! Hopefully delivery will arrive as fast as little people run in this game.
Great game! At first it may be difficult, but later you gain pace. However, sometimes the game does not allow you to relax, even you feel like an expert.
OMG! Don't under ANY circumstances buy this game. Boring just got a whole new definition.
