MadRobot X is an old school shoot 'em up game. You control a robot trying to escape from the laboratory of a mad scientist, and to accomplish this, you'll need the help of GoboGobo, another robot who also wants to escape. The task is not easy; the mad scientist will do anything to prevent anyone from escaping.

perfect game 10/10
Just a classic pixel game, I don't understand all the reviews crying about how they don't like it.
I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Funnest game per megabyte I own!
Some people might enjoy this, but not me.
Nice little indie shooter for a saterday morning. Enough challenge to wake you up but nothing to intense. With an xbox 360 pad at times i was able to stay centrally on the screen and take enemies down by waving the beam around with one hand whilst sipping my cup of tea with the other hand so it worked out quite well. The complete game took me about an hour to complete.
There was some more content in the form of some challenges i have not tried.
Pretty fun shmup. Nice graphics, sound and music and doesn't try to do anything special. Powerups are fun and the enemy placement and timing is fantastic. I played on normal and it took me about 40 minutes to finish the game as it wasn't too hard but not too easy. The challenge was just right and it's more of a standard shmup than a bullet hell, although there is Nightmare difficulty which may or may not be that way but I didn't try it.
There's also a challenge mode included which I didn't ry but I'm guessing it's like an endless mode. Pretty cool!
My only wish would be to add achievements as this genre makes it even more engaging when they are included, as well as an option to disable the slight screen shake.

Not bad for the price
Very bland game! There are better flash games for free like Bullet Heaven.
Low contrast of background with the action plane (enemies,bullets and you)
Scients dialogue ocupies part of the screen... mosty the part where you will be when doding his first atacks
Didn't find the configuration to play with keyboard or adjust the mouse/controller controls and sensivity, didn't find fullscreen button too.
Very bland normal enemies patterns... you will get bored already in level 3 (of 12)
This is a great game with a great price. If you enjoy vertical shooter you're going to enjoy Madrobot X.
There are 12 stages in total, 2 difficulties (Normal and Nightmare), and a "Challenge mode.
There is plenty of content to justify the pricetag and keep you drawn in for a few hours. Two strong feature the developers executed perfectly are the controls and the hitboxes. Many shooters I see released on Steam have some serious control or hitbox problems making gameplay a mess. Madrobot X feels solid and makes dodging bullets a natural reaction rather than a chore. The pixel graphics are clean and bullets are easy to see.
The only flaw I see is the variety of enemies the game has. As the stages progress you will see many reused enemies making several stages feel like the previous. This is a small complaint and has no impact on the overall game.
I hope to see achievements and leaderboards added in the future.
75 cents to return to my Galaga glory days? Had I found this game where it rightfully belongs - in the arcade of my childhood - I would have plopped in far more than 3 quarters. Great game!
For the price, you cant beat a good shmup' like Madrobot X, Im honestly suprised more people haven't bought this game. I like the balanced level progression when it becomes more challenging every level and I love the boss fights, they were well thought out. Extremely well worth the price. With long gameplay, high replay value for a low price, steam cards and full controller support (I used a xbox 360 controller - perfect and precise movement), it is hard not to recommend this game. If you love indies, what are you waiting for? This would make a great present for a friend too 10/10.
