Not sure how I'm saving the city by playing as a doctor that robs everyone after sneaking up behind them and knocking them out, but I guess I'm the good guy

It is very fun to mess around and try to find ways to complete a mission, I can't wait for the second game!

The game might be repetitve but I never got bored, not even once.

The amount of freedom and customization that this game offers is unimaginable. The progression system is really satisfying, and all of the characters play differently. If you like immersive sims, tactical planning, and intense action, this game is for you!

Is this a super duper underated game? Fuck yess, see my hours counting. It will soon reach over 200!

Simple, and lots of content for 5 dollars.

just a hell at basic things. player two controller mapping are all messed up. Im going to crush my monitor. the main menu cant be controller with controller. If you start the game with 2 players it forces you to do splitscreen on 16:9. you have to start with singleplayer and then go to the coop npc and start the coop for 2 players. absolute rubbish optimization for controllers.
the core game is good tho

Roguelikes and im-sims have a lot of crossover in terms of design philosophy (player agency, systemic gameplay, improvisation), so I'm surprised no-one made a game like this before. It has a lot of replayability, mostly coming from its interesting unlockable characters.

It gets pretty repetitive fast and too hard to enjoy. I'll be keeping an eye on their sequel though.

SOR is great - a fun sandbox that's never quite the same twice.

There are a bunch of built-in characters, but the real joy comes from mixing and matching your own. When you create a custom character, you get points that you can allocate to stats and powers and perks. You can also get more points by picking negative perks (such as being unable to use firearms, or being an enemy to all gorillas).

The actual gameplay varies so much from character to character, that it's hard to describe how the game plays. Gunplay and melee are generally the same, but the situation and your approach to it will be different depending on who you are playing and how.

Your options whenever you level up are random too, so playing the same character twice, they might end up being very different than a previous playthrough.

If you like experimenting, and playing gimmicky characters, this game is amazing. It's also silly, and a given playthrough is reasonably short (an hour or two, assuming you make it all the way).

This game is great for letting me fuck around for 4 floors and have fun and then on the 5th floor making me so scared and creating what is an amazing tense experience that puts AAA titles to shame. Co-op is a great time.

There are many different encouraged ways to progress through runs. This game can be replayed a lot and supports multiplayer. You can even create your own characters if you want to spice it up. I can't wait for the sequel.

took 5 minutes after the game turned off two of my monitors spazzed out to the poin i had to restart my computer before i could start the game

Absolutely amazing game with damn near infinite replayability. I am extremely excited for streets of rouge 2, until then I will be grinding this one :)

This game is absolutely nutty; real cult OOAK. Can't wait to complete this and see what the No2 experience game brings; but not too soon eh, because I'm getting so much fun out of this. Can't recommend this enough; everything about this game is very well thought out. Buy it...

The closet thing to a Saints Row 2 Fix for me. On top of that I love that it's a roguelike.

Had a blast with my friend. The playable characters are very unique. Got it on sale, so cheap that its been worth even if I never played again

was on downtown 3, getting close to beating the game until i get the killer robot event then when im trying to run away from the robot i get run over by a minecart and murdered

One of the best sandbox games ever, choose your fighter and don your play style.
This game is deceptively hard and able to keep you playing for hours without you realizing it has been 4 hrs straight.

I've tried...I really have. dwarf fortress popularized the idea that it's fun to lose. it's not. I enjoy my runs in a lot of games, but if you look at this studio's track record...they make jank. unfair, and frustrating deaths are the name of the game.

I like stealth, I like immersive sims, I like funky music... and this game has all those things. Tis a deceptively simple-looking immersive sim that is a lot of fun to play.

There's a demo on itch.io if you want to be double sure, but once things click for you, you should find yourself having a heck of a good time.

I blew up a generator, neutralized some folks, bribed a hacker into giving me a briefcase, neutralized some more folks, freed a caged gorilla, neutralized even more folks, pressed a couple buttons, neutralized EVEN MORE folks, killed the mayor, and went home and played Streets Of Rogue.

Definitely something I expected to get bored at a lot sooner. A one of a kind rogue-like.

If you can get over the simple art style and visuals. The game is exactly what is says on the tin. You pick 1 out of a bunch of classes, and beat the game in a variety of ways. My first playthrough consisted of killing nearly every NPC to get between me and the objective. My last one I made every NPC laugh with the Comedian and won by Running for Mayor and wining by a mile. In my second winning playthrough I played a Gorilla, I killed all of the scientists and free my fellow apes, and tossed the final quest item in a hole, resulting in the chaotic ending. Again, not very deep in visuals or mechanics, but enough of a fun interactable environment to have fun solo and/or co-op. The unique combination of Special abilities, Traits & items and how the NPC's react to you and your actions is very fun and refreshing. It's not a skyrim or morrowind NPC, but it's funny how making someone loyal promps them to give you their most valuable item without question, or telling a kill on sight NPC to "Leave town", resulting in them thanking you, leaving the town and your quest being market as completed.

Would recommend strongly, full-price or sale. It's a goofy fun time!

This game has crazy replayability, the co-op is good, the single player is good.

I know its probably dumb, but I play for achievements, this game is one of the few that I've got 100% then went on to keep playing. Its just that fun.

an Immersive Sim Roguelike. a rare combo of a genre

if u dont like it, then something is profoundly wrong with your cerebral cortex.

Where this games capabilities really start to shine is when you pick the changeling. Being able to play all classes by stealing their body opens for insane variability and shows the games capabilities.
But other roles are fun too, there are many possibilities how to reach you goal, either by bruteforcing, negociation or sneaking.
The multiplayer lobby opens up playing with strangers, which adds alot of chaos and makes the game easier. Either you join a group for a quick game, or plan your way in couch coop.
Between the levels you can buy more possible perks or items, which adds some replayability
The characters are quite easy to unlock, you can even create your own, but most aspects are covered by the archetypes.

Genereally a well programmed game that can get very chaotic very quickly. gather some friends and have a blast!

Wasn't expecting the game to catch my attention this hard but it did. Game is chaotic fun, the different characters have just enough quirks and uniqueness to make each of their run interesting.

I personally love games that allow me stealth or knockout guards and while this ain't no dishonored, it's stealth/non violent approach works just fine and I really appreciate that.

Then when I want a palette cleanse and feel like causing mayhem, there are characters suited to just tearing through enemies, this game is bloody great. Can't wait for the release of the second game!

I endorse this piece of game. One of the games of all time, would play again. However, I'm currently busy with life, so I have not been playing as much. However, I have played a lot of this piece of game and I would like to click thumbs up for this game due to the fact that I have played a lot of this piece of game. Streets of Rogue is a riveting MMORPG experience I will never forget, you can play as any character you could ever imagine, from slum dweller. To address the minor inconveniences of the game, it lacks certain features. Overall, great game 9.47/100.00

Very chaotic game, in the best of ways. Its plenty of fun with the different playstyles of the characters with the ways the stage affect gameplay.

"It's a great game to play occasionally. Plus, it auto-saves at each level, so if you play quickly, it's about 10 minutes per level, which is perfect for relaxation. If Streets of Rogue 2 doesn't have this feature, I'll be really disappointed.
