Its namefather lost but not it's nameplate
A new resident arrives on shoulders ever so leisurely
As father throws ashes to ashes looking kinda weary
Last arrival drew the final straw
They wanted to rise but didn't know how
An underground meeting took place nobody could have known
Voices turned to screams as the dead were overflown
Dusk got shattered with with raging moans and groans
As the cursed graveyard got covered with restless souls
They will face a single obstacle to bring on the doom
A graveyard keeper sworn to stop them and a magical shroom
Info
Graveyard Shift is a FPS with unique game mechanics and a mise-en-scène that mixes both toonish and horror elements together! Yes, we did it.
You are fighting against restless ghosts and liches. They revolt, because too many graves are dug in the graveyard, whose keeper is you. Your purpose is to re-kill the undead! Your only friends are mushrooms, those you use to make mushroom bombs.
Gameplay
Your ammo is elemental mushrooms, there are 5 different elements of mushrooms those you collect from the ground. You create bombs with those elemental mushrooms (2 Fire, 1 Water, for example) using number keys 1 to 5. Your enemies also have elements; enemy’s element and the elements of your mushroom-bomb determine the damage you deal. For example, you deal more damage to a Fire ghost if you prepare a bomb with Water mushrooms.
There are 2 types of enemies: Normal ghosts and liches. Normal ghosts are melee attackers, they use claws. Whereas, liches throw you stones and they are much stronger than normal ghosts.
We have 2 game modes: Waved and Survival. You fight against 10 waves of enemies in the first. Survival lasts as long as you are alive.
There are 4 power-ups: Slow Time, Shield, Mushroom Magnet and Infinite Mushrooms.

|Bottom of the Bin Review|
Graveyard Shift is a survival horror fps where collect different types of mushroom to shoot at ghosts. You combine the different elemental mushrooms to increase your damage/ be able to hurt certain colored ghosts. It ether plays in a wave of 10 game mode or an endless survival one. It has a very charming visual look with a very unique game mechanic, even includes power-ups. And I give this a 3/5.

- Very fun game !! I like the Gothic theme and the music is awesome.
It's a cute zombie survival game where you pick up mushrooms and mix them to make your bombs to hit at zombies. The zombies come in waves so you'll have to be in your feet .
Recommended for the single player zombie people.
The game has a lot of potential - if a little thought would be put in to it - at the moment it is very boring.
* For instance - Why collect mushrooms to simply cast them at the ghosts? Why not rather have them appear randomly at the start of the game and the player has to collect them to move on (a maze style game), or something like that.
*The spellcasting is really dull and plain - difficult to work with too. Rather devise a FPS/RPG-style approach and add a spellbook and maybe staffs and/or wands. Add different elements maybe and categorize the spells there under. Along with the spells requirements and energy/mana usage,
*Lastly all the ghosts look the same, move the same speed, and pretty much attack in the same way... This makes the game become very repetitive, very soon! It also makes the wave/round speed incredibly long, especially in such a huge environment. Give the ghost and or maybe even other types of enemies a bit more charateristics.
*** Other than that I like the graphics, and the gameplay as well as the environment (could use a little more upbeat theme music and more variety of theme songs, just to up the pace of the game as well), the game really has potential...
Just a few thoughts on what I would like to see in an update, then I would gladly recommend it and be happy that I paid for it.
Very dull and repetitive game, with very, very dull and repetitve achievements that take ages to complete. They aren't hard, just very long and drawn out!
It's okay.
The game is fairly fun for a simplistic shooter. The game looks fairly decent, it plays smoothly, and the art style and gameplay go well together. The gameplay is a bit lacking, given that there are only Wave and Endless modes, no missions, no alternative graveyards(levels), and no multiplayer support (these are the biggest issues, it seems it will get old quick, and does, but its good in bursts for some time killing, if you were to add these things, replay value would skyrocket in comparison to what it is now.) The clipping of the ghosts feels kinda cheap, they can go through the ground at any point and fly right up to you, this is mostly seen on a slope where they have to compensate for your positioning, there are quite a lot of trees that are mostly off the ground, which looks stupid, the writing could really use improvement, and there is a lot of issues climbing the terrain at certain parts with too much of a slope. The game doesn't appear to have controller support either, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but controller support is often nice for more laid back play seshes, and I think it would add to the fun with this game being fairly simplistic; it's more a game that you will want to sit back and play rather than get up close and personal with the WASD and mouse. The combinations/element type idea was good, but seems poorly executed. The ghosts only seem to have a weakness to their opposing element, but don't really seem to be immune to others, i.e. they all seem to take the same damage from all mushrooms except the type that is their weakness, it would be better to implement a sort of immunity or resistance to other elements to make it more difficult. Other that that, the game itself isn't meant to be a huge thing, I mean, C'mon, it is $3, don't go in expecting a whole lot, it is supposed to be a small game, so quit complaining about your $3 game, if you're complaining about something that cheap, you probably just want to vent, there's been plenty of times you've wasted more than $3 on something you didn't like. And for what the game is on paper, you should expect it's more of a time killer type game that you will play in shorter bursts than most games, but it succeeds at what it is trying to be, a decently fun, 'spooky' little FPS. Now I've mostly had negative things to say about this game, but it's $3 so I'm not complaining and with some improvement, this game could become a lot better. I will get more in depth with the review once this game has some new features, but for now, if you're looking for a cheap, simple, decently fun FPS to shred some time with, this game is for you!
It's fun for like the first 10 minutes, then it gets super repetitive.
Neat little Halloween shooter with a cool Spell lobbing premise.
I really like the combos of mushrooms.
The art is cutesy and suits the tone.
Game could use some added depth. Story or something?

A very enjoyable game with good aesthetics. Gameplay is a bit short but it's highly replayable.
The name of the game is Graveyard Shift because you'll run all the time.
PROS
- Magicka-like spell/mushroom craft mechanic
- Power ups are really cool. Especially slow motion and infinite mushroom
- Nice visual art
- Price
- Released just before Halloween
CONS
- Short (finished on easy mode)
[*]Need additional side mechanic
This is a first person shooter with a magic casting gimmick. You create your magic similar to the system in Magicka. Although not as deep as in that game, you can still gain advantage using electric against water types etc. The colors and presentation are nice. Might be a fun game for Halloween. Especially to play with your little cousin or children.
Please don't buy this game. It isn't worth 3 dollars. Every enemy clips through walls and the ground (granted, they are ghosts but it looks stupid) The attack combos are nothing special and you'll end up just mashing the number buttons randomly because none of it really matters. Honestly I got this game out of curiosity and that has been quenched after about 8 minutes of gameplay. Good luck!
